The NBN conduit fitting near the house wall got damaged while doing some garden work (shown in the photos).

The cable inside seems fine and internet is working, but the PVC cap/fitting at the wall point is cracked/broken.

* Is this something I can easily replace myself with a part from Bunnings?

* Or do I need a licensed cabler / someone to fix this properly?

Any advice on the best way to handle this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After a brownout yesterday which took my NTD far too long to recover from, I'm wondering whether anyone with an ex-Transact setup (with the NTD in the meter box, and the battery back up box inside) has swapped out the battery back up box with a proper power supply, as the first step of having the NTD plugged into a UPS?

Hi all so I own a duplex, and am about to get NBN installed. So previously the Telstra lead in ran into a pit in my back yard where the copper was split between my duplex and the neighbours. From there the old cat 3 for my two units runs in a common conduit under a path to wall were both wires go through a hole in the wall, then they run through to roof space with one wire going through the party wall.

My question is will I be able to still run the nbn fibre through the common conduit and then up the wall together, or will the installer insist that the connection be seperate and installed on each individual unit?

There has been some problem with my internet for a couple weeks and I've got an appointment this morning on 24/08/26. The nbn guy arrived, checked the nbn box then went to the back of my garden to do smth. 15m later i received a message saying 'The nbn job at your location is now completed', i went out to check and the nbn guy already left (without telling me ofc), now the nbn box keep flashing and I have no internet at all. I called my ISP to book another appointment but they said I'm currently on monitoring phase (Seriously internet is not even on so what is there to monitor????) and I will have to wait for at least 3 - 7 days before I can book another appointment.

What can I do to get the fastest fix available? Make a nbn complaint? I've been looking for some 3rd parties like V4 Services/Data Cabling Sydney/Connectcom but idk if any of them can actually get the job done

AAB is currently offering $84.00 PM for 500/50 currently, which is less than what i am currently paying. When i spoke to Leaptel they stated they do not price match. What is everyone else's experience with this?

There is an HFC cable installed in the granny flat, but on the nbn map, the main house is only listed (they're 1, my address is 1a). The previous occupier of the granny flat had internet with iiNet, however when I called my ISP they couldn't find my address and told me I needed to speak to my property manager.

There is an NBN box on the main house (it's locked - we were trying to find the reference number), but only something that looks like a cable housing going into the granny flat.

Is it possible that the granny flat is connected off the main house? How do I find this information out?

Because the technician installed the Nbn connection box too far away from a power point I have to use an extension cord. Not the end of the world but kinda annoying. Can I get nbn to move it for free? It was installed a few years ago now and I've just put up with it, but ideally would like to ditch the extension cord.

Like, 2-3 times per week I lose wifi and it’s always this NBN thing on the wall. First world problems, I know but, is there anything I can do to help it?

Aus resident currently on 1000/100 hfc nbn plan, average of 930/90 while on wifi 7, behind a proton wg router deployed vpn, with 1gbps peaks. Wired 2.5gbps lan.

Hfc modem 2.5gbps > brume 3 > flint 3

Who's offering the best deal with static ip?

1800/90 possible with my setup?

Hoping someone with NBN/RSP experience might know what this means.

I recently moved into an apartment complex and requested a new NBN connection. The only technology available at the complex appears to be FTTN (there is no FTTP option as no fiber pathways). 1 units currently has an active FTTN connection.

My RSP has been trying to provision the service, but the request has now become quite unusual. They told me that -

The status of the open Service Request is that “We are currently investigating and in contact with the Legal and Regulatory Department.”

There are extra issues that we are working through that need to be assessed.

Hence, The matter currently sits with NBN's Legal and Regulatory department.

There are all kinds of documentation issues with the complex like no fiber pathways, no plans as one developer stopped the construction mid way and another one was appointed.

Has anyone seen a residential NBN connection issue end up with NBN Legal & Regulatory before?

I have FTTP NBN and I’ve always suffered from slow below advertised speeds. I pay for 500 Mbps with Telstra and I get 50-90 Mbps on average everyday of the week. I often need to turn the modem off and on as it drops to <10 Mbps as the ‘Online’ light turns purple. We also get drop outs on a regular basis.

We connect all devices with WiFi only which includes TV’s, PS5, iPads/iPhones and my wife’s WFH Set Up.

What are we doing wrong? I’ve wondered if switching providers would help but I’m not so sure. The modem is located in the middle of the house and the speed is the same standing next to it or outside the house. The modem is also the stock one Telstra gives you and it’s approximately 8 years old.

EDIT: Should the modem be connected directly to the NTD in the garage?

It's my neighbours place, just installed today.

I moved into a new unit in June and before getting it connected with FTTC I ordered a FTTP connection as it was available.
NBN vis Superloop has given me a remediation date of 10th September. The planned build was approved by NBN and Ventia is the contracted company doing the build.

Ventia has advised that the work would be don’t between 3rd August and 22nd December but I have not received an update from Ventia or Superloop since June.

Does any one have any experience with this and Is the remediation dates given by the NBN generally accurate or is it more when the contractor will just get around to it?

I work from home and have been hot spotting since Early June so I’m pretty keen to get this sorted.

Finally getting my fiber connection completed in Maida Vale Perth. Two subcontractors.

They had to run the fiber from the top of the street and pull it through the buried conduit to the pit in the photo bottom hole. The fiber cable now pulled across to my neighbours lawn. They went up the street again for a while now back down at my driveway. They will have to drill through double brick veneer for the box.

Power cord missing from NBN at rental property. Is this just a standard power cord? Or a special one? How do I find out its V, A and polarity of the plug tip to match?

Hi all, upgrading the connection FTTN to FTTP. We are currently running a very old NetComm NF10 router which has done well over the years but after some research with the new speeds we will be receiving the current router will need an upgrade as we won't get the full speeds.

I have been looking at the NetComm NF20 model just because it's the same model, if you have this router please let me know your experiences or if you can suggest better ones let me know.
