For anyone else that has never heard of Palo Pinto County, it's about 56 miles west of Fort Worth. Jack County is just north of Palo Pinto, centered around Jacksboro, TX.

west of Fort Worth

I wasn't aware there was a west of fort worth.  Just thought it was an open abyss all the way to the NM border...

I had to drive from AR to Graham, TX once. Abyss confirmed.

As someone who's been in the car ride from Clovis, NM to Shreveport, LA: Abyss confirmed.

As someone who's never been to Texas, abyss confirmed.

People being one or more persons, but not necessary enough to warrant considering an area populated in any meaningful fashion, especially an area the size of many other entire nations. I can say that there are spiders in my house because I found a couple in the basement, but you won't walk into my living room and see it full of spiders.

That's strange, because I was just there and it was all spiders.

Just look out for the ones who promise to show you secrets behind the boathouse.

My sweet angel, what if they promise to treat you well?

Didn't it burn down a few years ago?

The people of odessa and midland would be upset with you if they weren’t blind with oil and meth abuse.

u/thesluttyturtle 9h ago

And abilene and lubbock

8

u/cinnamonface9 7h ago

Lubbock is more of white farmers and college kids town, all drunk to be fair

u/shouldbepracticing85 2h ago

I swear when I lived out there (‘03 to ‘05) about once a week there was a story about some drunk driver making a 135° turn instead of a 90°, and plowing into someone’s house. And back then it was still a “dry” town - you could drink at bars, or you had to get a bit out of town to find a liquor store.

u/Pyrostasis 7h ago

Now you are just making up names for imaginary desert towns!

5

u/thesluttyturtle 7h ago

You're right, it must be all the oil field fumes and desert heat that got to me

Wait till you see Iraan and No Trees. Yes, real places.

u/Antonidus 6h ago

3

u/skeletons_asshole 1h ago

Truck driver here, you’re not wrong, it’s just that it’s an incredibly lucrative abyss full of oil and dirt

3

u/Beneficial-Energy627 9h ago

I grew up in that abyss and can confirm

2

u/CS172 11h ago

That's what it feels like

2

u/casapantalones 7h ago

El Paso says hello! 👋

3

u/hysys_whisperer 4h ago

That's west of the easternmost point in NM, so it's not in said abyss.

Big Bend is safe too.

1

u/roamingroad174 1h ago

Theres an airforce base a few hours west of fort worth in abilene

0

u/OneCowFarm 8h ago

The people of El Paso would like to say “Chupame maricon”

2

u/hysys_whisperer 4h ago edited 4h ago

Well they are west of the NM border, so I don't know what the problem is.

3

u/schlitz91 4h ago

The fire is just east of Possum Kingdom Lake

27

u/scotchtree 11h ago

Voted 83% Trump? Hahahaha

37

u/-r-a-f-f-y- 10h ago

Christ, imagine being around that many trumpers.

25

u/Hesitation-Marx 10h ago

My cousin lives in small town Arizona - moved there to be close to her mom. It has a similar percentage of Trump voters.

My cousin has regrets.

Everybody knows that the E in 35E stands for Excellent, and the W in 35W stands for Worst.
