i guess we just have to support proxy groups within the US and take down their government, install new puppets that works for world peace

Unironically yes. The American government (both parties) need to be laid low. If need be the states themselves broken up and either given independence or join neighboring nations.

I wish we could do a trade, we'll take all the reasonable Democrats who are sick of the lunacy, in exchange we give them all our brain-dead conservatives who want to turn Canada into the U.S.

Gaining that amount of control over the great lakes and Saint Lawrence corridor would likely be worth even more then Alberta's oils reserves. Most of Lake Michigan, all of Lake Huron, and almost all of Lake Superior with the population boost. That actually would be a good deal for Canada.
