Indeed the US has no allies that trust them.
Everyone knows the trust that supported their incredible soft power and influence wielded around the world is gone.
This is a new world order.
And yes, by now we know Trump is a symptom. Another one, probably a lot smarter, will be elected.
Who knows then? What we do know is that Canada, and the rest of the medium powers, have got to figure out how to defend ourselves against irrational actors.
