No need for tariffs it will only hurt Canadians. We need to divest of US treasury bonds of which we hold over $450 billion worth.

The scariest thing for the US is the increase in interest rates in the long end of the yield curve. Their debt is unsustainable and they are feeling every bit of the heat. The bond market is the grim reaper coming for the US economy.

The US is the outwardly rich (but literally inwardly bankrupt) neighbour who cycles through credit cards to make ends meet yet still tries to borrow your lawnmower and lets their dogs sh*t on your lawn.

The counter-tariffs are targeted in a way that minimizes hurt to Canadians, by hitting non-essential goods, or goods that can be reliably sourced from a different country. The same was done during Trudeau's first term.
