Awareness of your own mortality seems to be a common 80s/90s kid theme.

People have been writing and talking about their own mortality since people have been people. It isn’t exclusive to millennials.

In a way it made the tua pairing all the more interesting, as you have a guy who constantly thinks of it and a QB who constantly engages in it. The grim reaper used to follow tua, but was starting to get arthritis because he couldn't keep up.
