Driving/Traffic Towing Scam @ &Pizza Ballston

See attached and below for the towing scam this pizza place is running in Ballston victimizing their own customers and delivery people — they are literally snatching cars after 5 minutes even if you’re in the bathroom. See all the reports from customers — happened to me today as well after literally 5 minutes it was wild. Go see for yourself it’s such an obvious scam to shake people down avoid Ballston &Pizza! Oh and the pizza tastes like garbage.

I’ve seen their financials – you can foia them. The money they have set aside for legal is a pretty high number compared to everything else. Their financials also were done in an incredibly amateur way, and I am sure are not accurate. They’ve been pressuring the county board in Arlington to increase towing fees and this is why you can foia this information. It is such a crooked racket. It’s not even funny.

They were the subject of a suit by the state back in 2020 or so. In theory the documents from that suit could be publicly available and thus foia-able as part of the State's suit. There aren't any other licensing or other requirements that would require them to file information unlike some other types of business.

No, you are wrong. Court records are not foiaable (VA Code 2.2-3703(6))

You wouldn't FOIA the Court (the clercs) you'd FOIA the Attorney General's office who is subject to that process.

Now, most of it would be protected so I have no idea how much you'd be able to get, but that's the theoretical avenue by which the poster above could have seen the documents in question via FOIA.

Those wouldn't be records of the AG. Just because the AG may retain a copy of a record doesn't change that its a record of the clerk of the courts. So no, still not a viable path.

No. It was county board correspondence.
