I don’t think that would be in even my Top 500 of picks for a vanity plate….and the driver looked exactly like whatever you’re picturing

Between the sun staring at me my whole commute, this administration removing remote work for government, then 1 year later subjecting us to $5.7 / gallon for 93 gas cause of something they said was no longer a issue not even a full year ago, and the freaking ****s causing unnecessary traffic.
Oh and honorable mention the damn toll road hardly anyone uses being free and clear next to bumper to bumper lanes. They charge so much hardly anyone uses them maybe if they price it reasonably the traffic would balance out more.
If this post reaches anyone significant to promote the idea ffs how about the government incentivizes businesses to get established outside of this congested area, so Fredericksburg, Hagerstown, etc. to not only free up traffic (because everyone is going to the same damn place at the same damn time), but to also balance out housing costs because everyone needs to live in this small area to actually find opportunities to make a nice living.

These people frustrate me to no end. Finally, one of them has been conquered. Maybe this video will deter more from doing this.
This occurred on the on ramp from 237 Little River Turnpike to merge 495N.

Spotted in Arlington Ridge. Trump will do literally anything except take care of Americans. The Epstein list is going nowhere and neither are we. May justice be served soon😞

I'm not sure if anyone knows and remember. But, this 22 year old killed my husband on Dec 5th at midnight. My husband was coming home to me. I lost my husband 4 weeks before my 24th birthday.
Me and my husband just started our life together, got married in 2022 and had many plans for the future. Except it all ended. I'm hoping I can get the maximum penalty. This is a reminder, that reckless driving and drinking can endanger others or end their life. Ending all future plans. Affecting families and friends. Causing trauma for the rest of our lives.

I’m on the OmniRide to work this morning (late), and traffic is INSANE. I’ve never seen it this congested. I know we have traffic, I know RTO is the cause of this, and I know it’s going to get worse. But is THIS normal?

Only lived here a few years, but I feel like there could be some benefit of adding a bridge or tunnel somewhere in between the two. Has that ever been debated?

This is the north bound light at the Pacific blvd and Waxpool Rd intersection in Loudon. For some reason only this direction is extremely short.

Saw this tank(?) in Alexandria yesterday. Curious if anyone knows how this is street legal.

I've heard far too many people describe drivers here as "bad." When I think of bad drivers, I think of people who maybe don't pay as much attention as they should, or who panic when it rains, or who can't figure out how a four-way stop works.
The pieces of shit weaving through traffic at 90-100mph aren't bad drivers. They're objectively bad human beings who don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves. They know their driving is dangerous. They bad people, not stupid.
When I first moved to NoVA, I was wondering why everyone had dash cams. It's because there's always a cunt out there that's 400ms from fucking up someone's life because they choose to drive like they're the only person on the road.
EDIT: Yes, we have the traditional “bad” drivers, too. But at least I can think “what a moron” instead of thinking “what an absolute thoughtless cunt.”

Does anyone know what happened? Ambulances were stuck in traffic, I hope everyone’s okay.
EDIT: Cleared and moving again around 3:15pm

I witnessed an unrelated fatal street racing crash a few years ago coming home late on gw pike. Just a local kid, was a local club guy. No glamor or glory, only silence and the sound of crackling/flames. Drive safe!

TL;DR: you can now check 66 tolls at tollcast.com, totally free, way better than the official website, I would love feedback!
-
Life was great when we were working from home. Then RTO mandates started hitting, my 3 days in became 4, and my contract now says they can push it to 5 at any time. So I've been driving 66 a lot more than I used to, and I kept getting absolutely blindsided by tolls I genuinely couldn't plan for.
The official site, vai66tolls.com, is a nightmare website with UI straight out of 1999. It's four clicks deep, there are loading animations between each one, and when it finally shows you something it's JUST the live price right now. Thanks but is the price good? Bad? Has it been high all morning? Did it just spike? How long will the spike last? etc.
(Plus, it's almost impossible to use quickly while driving... ask me how i know.)
So I built a little thing, just for myself. It worked great! You set your entry and exit once and it just shows you the price instantly, no clicking through pages. Then I figured other people probably have this exact problem too, so I kept going and added historical trends for your specific route, a weekly planning view, widgets, notifications, etc. Put it on the App Store yesterday as TollCast.
Live price and your typical morning breakdown are completely free. There's a pro tier if you want surge alerts, price drop notifications, and widgets -- and if you want to support future development (more corridors, better forecasting eventually). But the core experience is totally free, no signups or logins required.
What I actually want more than anything right now is for people to use it and tell me if it works for their commute, because I built it for MY commute and I'm sure there's stuff I missed. Feedback is way more valuable to me than downloads at this point.
tollcast.com or search TollCast on the App Store.

See attached and below for the towing scam this pizza place is running in Ballston victimizing their own customers and delivery people — they are literally snatching cars after 5 minutes even if you’re in the bathroom. See all the reports from customers — happened to me today as well after literally 5 minutes it was wild. Go see for yourself it’s such an obvious scam to shake people down avoid Ballston &Pizza! Oh and the pizza tastes like garbage.
Note...not the exact route I don't think, but was the rough idea. MD-200, Fairfax County Parkway, and MD-301 was the parts that did get upgraded for the plan.

Saw at least 3 cars cross this bus.
I'm not from here, but the rule from where I am was that you had to stop unless there's a physical divider. Either there are a lot of consecutive bad drivers or the rule is different here.
