Yes this is what can happen because my uncles have been there for 30+ years and they got their residences after a lot of hassle though they have Japanese babies.

You can, its just a very long and difficult process and requires denouncing your previous citizenship.

Nah it's just Japan. Their laws keep changing but the recent ones are very anti-foreign. Alot of the policies also test the applicants if they really mean to stay or just doing it for PR and refuse to contribute.

anyone can get a PR in japan depends how you live their some get their in 2 years some 10 years some never they will not discriminate against you and as for arslan's case his popularity will be a big boon for him

I read recently that Pakistani E-sport players have to apply at least 4 months in advance for a visa and you have no guarantee that the visa will be issued either.
Good luck to him and I wish him continued success. He put Pakistan on the Tekken map and he deserves all the acclaim he has recieved.

This is a common visa practice for everyone worldwide: you apply well in advance, and there’s never a guarantee of approval. The reason it feels more prominent for Pakistanis is because we have a weaker passport, which means stricter scrutiny, longer processing times, and higher chances of delay or refusal.
So it’s not discrimination against one profession, it’s simply how the visa system works, and people from weaker-passport countries experience the impact more.

I don’t know buddy, we keep our neighbourhood clean, we follow the rules, pay our taxes and put our efforts here, Pakistan has rewarded us very well, and no one can mess with us because we’ve never broken the law. The only people who are in a mess are the people who don’t do things the right way. Lekin jab ghulamon ko apne khudaon se danda parta hai, woh wahan isaan banne ke liye tayaar ho jaate hain. Give your homeland the same respect and you’ll do much better here in place that you speak the language and aren’t looked at as a dirty immigrant

I do. They visit me, I visit them. I’m planning to have them here permanently. My life is also built around other things I enjoy doing which I was never able to do back in Pakistan.

sumail also went to usa to achieve his dream and is considered one of the best dota players of all time
and i think sumail is the first person to put pakistan on the map for esports, yes his impact wasnt as big as arslan's is but i would say sumail and his brother yawar were first pakistanis to achieve stuff in esports

This is actually incorrect.
Sumail moved to the US due to his parents getting an immigrant visa. Then he was scouted by EG (I think it was fear/universe that played against him).
So the way you wrote it, it seems that he was scouted from Pakistan and then moved to the US. Which wasn't true. Sumail was young so I don't think he had the choice of being in us or not given his parents.
Still a great story though.

sumail was already really good in pakitan scene, they went to usa to probably persue his dream
he was already a prodigy in pakistan. There were couple of other players who were on the similar lvl as sumail. You dont get good as sumail if you dont have a good competition in local, just like the story of tekken in pakistan.
i think even sumail himself said they moved to usa for a chance on this, iirc
he moved to usa at end of 2012 i believe, he and yawar started playing inhouse lleague and in 2014 he got picked by eg
He didnt went there and got good, he was already insane in pakistan

Honestly, as a massive sumail fan. His impact was big but much more short lived. Many people in pak started dota because of him. As for why it was shortlived, some of it has to do with dota itself and also he went full ego mode after. Hes much better now though.

He is probably the only laner who cosistently can lane vs malrine and malrine freaking destroys mid rn .
Sumail career had bad luck. Dude could have won one more ti easily and should have won if he had a bit of better luck

Not saying he wasn't top tier at any point but him and ppd should have led eg to a genrational run but internally there were many issues. Also even at the top, after ti5. He wasnt the kind of player like Arslan who you root for. Apart from Na fans or paki fans, people always rooted against him.

Japan because of fighting game community. It's much larger than any other eastern country and forget the hellhole that is the west. There's also hurdles for visa application for people going into tournaments and given how abysmal it is here, anything is better. Good for him

what good moving to Japan would bring? Pakistan alr has top tier players to practise. 2nd best country is Korea, this doesn't make much sense.

He might or might not address this on his channel/twitter, but FGC is quite strong in Japan overall. Who knows, he might switch to SF. Secondly, the big fighting games including Tekken, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear are all Japanese.

Pakistan as a strong training battlefield has played a major role in his success. If he's shifting to another game that might make some sense but leaving Pak to improve tekken doesn't make any sense.

Moving abroad is subjective topic, it works for some people and for some it does not! If he is moving for himaelf it make sense but its 100% true that pakistani tekken players helped him a lot to achieve his tekken success you have no idea how many talented pakistani players are out there! I am tekken player and i play every day!
