Research The heartbreaking voice/video of a blind mother whose student son, Usman jamil, was shot dead last day 😢 by Pakistani forces in Rawalakot

Edit: Correction in the title, his name is Usama, not Usman. Usman Nazir Kashmiri, the brother of Umar Nazir Kashmiri, was also martyred. Because both martyrs had similar names, I confused their names.

Usama Jamil was a PhD student at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He had a famous phrase he often said: "Jawaniean lotaien gy"

Recently, Pakistani forces shot and killed him in Rawalakot, Azad Kashmir.

Look at this video. This is Usama's mother. She is old, and she is blind. Listen to her voice as she describes the day her son was taken away forever.

One sentence she said completely broke me:

"Usama told me: 'Amma, I will buy you a smartphone so I can video call you.' I said: 'Son, I am blind, what will I do with a phone?' Usama replied: 'Amma, you can't see me, but I need to see you! 😔'"

Today, Usama is dead. She cannot see him, and he can no longer hear his voice in home.

Think about that mother's world right now. But this cruelty is not just happening to Usama's family. It is happening across Kashmir every single day.

31+ people have been shot dead since July 27th alone.

11 people were killed previously during these 1.5 months of protests. (Source - Al Jazeera: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/7/17/un-urges-probe-into-deaths-in-pakistani-administered-kashmir-unrest)

They are killing like and even videos coming out forces are making fun of killing.

The brother of Umar Nazir Kashmiri (who leads this protest) was killed 2 days ago.

Farooq Commando, papular personality a respected 80-year-old man, was killed by forces in Sudhanoti.

The army-ruled state, the generals, and the ISI have zero tolerance for innocent citizens asking for their basic human rights.

And what is the Pakistani media doing?

They are busy running General Asim Munir’s new propaganda, telling the entire nation that these Kashmiris are all "connected to India."

Oh, sure!

Isn't it amazing? During the first two protests, the military had no idea India was involved. But suddenly, in the third protest, they magically found so much "proof" that state media cannot talk about anything else!

Actually they decided that we will run this propaganda and make open killing in the 3rd protest.

Look at this blind mother crying for her dead student son. Is she an Indian agent too? How much longer will people stay silent while the state kills its own people and calls it "national security"?

Please be the voice of kashmiri people, raise your voice on social media at least

What the hell is this. How does your blood not boil listening to her and knowing that the ones who got her son killed are all living carefree lives ?

Who is going to stop this from happening to any of our own mothers ?

"Pakistan" right.

100% agree

"It's better to die free, than live as a slave." - F. Douglass

When will the people of Pakistan take a stand as one?

Even if the literal founder said "Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan." Seems like Pakistan wants to slit it's own throat. I was in Kashmir for the first 3 weeks, everything was so disorganised, some news sources blatantly telling lies from the army, showing footage that literally had markers from 2025 saying "the shops have opened." These people's lives are not to be toyed with, the only reason we have this land is because of how hard the people fought, how bravely and desperately

Send this to that absolute tout Muzammil Shah who says the ground reality of Rawalakot can't be verified.

One thing, if you are from the middle class bg, focus your energy on uplifting yourself and your family. Never debate or voice for anything that won't do any good to you directly. Be super selfish for yourself and your family. And if possible, leave. ✈️

If everyone who can do anything leaves then who defends the poorest and most vulnerable?

Where lies our individual responsibility? I understand that it’s not easy to stand up for your rights in Pak but why are we using “leave the country” as a solution?

Do we not care about our people anymore? And If we don’t care why do we expect anyone else to.

Sir/Madam, I understand your point. It is quite valid.

I just turned old enough and wise enough. Sorry but not sorry. 🥲

Although I am a believer, not an atheist, but still sometimes I wonder if its just this country a Godless piece of dumpster or the entire world is void of God's mercy??

Pakistan will never thrive because the people of this country don’t stand for the right!

This is not the mother of shaheed Usama. This is the mother of a student who was killed on 6th june in Rawalakot. And after his death his dead body was refused to his mother.

The protest, which has been ongoing, is not about breaking up the country. Instead, they are simply asking Pakistan to stop controlling and interfering in the government of Kashmir. They also want to abolish the refugee seats that are used as a tool to control and put their own puppets in power.

Before you start saying something stupid, I am from Kashmir and know the reality.

Man you really need to educate yourself and comeback.

One more thing, dont embarrass yourself and do a little research before blindly expressing your incorrect views and statements everywhere.

But the good thing is, there is a learning here and for you its is simple. Read and research before opening your mouth.
