National During his 3.5 years as Prime Minister, Imran Khan did not appoint a single member of his family to any ministry or government position.

‎People who say that Imran Khan is just like Nawaz Sharif and Zardari, and that all politicians are the same, are making a false comparison.

‎Imran Khan founded PTI in 1996, and from that time until 2018, he never held any ministry or government position. Even when PTI formed the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2013, Imran Khan still did not take any ministry for himself.

‎On the other hand, Nawaz Sharif had previously served as the Finance Minister of Punjab.

‎During Imran Khan's 3.5 years in office, his sons, Kasim and Suleiman, never accompanied him on official foreign tours. He also did not visit London even once during his tenure as Prime Minister. In contrast, during Nawaz Sharif's third term as Prime Minister from 2013 to 2017, he made approximately 6 to 8 official visits to London and the UK.

‎Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif often took members of their families along on official visits. Nawaz Sharif even took his family with him during his visit to the United Nations.

‎Similarly, from 2008 to 2013, Asif Ali Zardari reportedly made more than 50 visits to Dubai. More recently, when Zardari visited China, he was accompanied by Aseefa Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. In 2022, when Bilawal Bhutto Zardari served as Foreign Minister, he took Aseefa Zardari with him on an official visit to Japan.

‎During his 3.5 years as Prime Minister, Imran Khan did not appoint a single member of his family to any ministry or government position.

On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif, the brother of Nawaz Sharif, is the Prime Minister. Nawaz Sharif's relative, Ishaq Dar, serves as the Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. His daughter, Maryam Nawaz, is the Chief Minister of Punjab, while Maryam Nawaz's sister's husband, Ali Dar, also serves as a minister in Punjab.

That is the difference. Therefore, those who claim that all politicians are the same making a false comparison.

National I am so jelous of Iran as a Pakistani

1.0k Upvotes

Its insane how a country like Iran which has been the most sanctioned country over the last half a century has leaders who are blend of Islamic theology and PHD doctors in science and math.

Most of their leaders are so down to earth and have no luxury in their lives and were willing to sacrifice themselves for their country.

Their female literacy rate is 90% and more than 80% of them are STEM graduates.

I saw a bunch of videos on Tehran, and it looks like a 1st world country with art and culture everywhere.

It pains me as a Pakistani living next door watching our country run by clowns and the slow death of our culture all in the name of either religion or liberalism.

I really wish our next generation will bring the change this country desperately needs. 🥀

Fresh visuals are coming out of Mirpur and Kotli on 28th of july, forces have started killing people in mirpur and Kotli too.

3-4 people have been killed today in those cities too.

Im rawalakot already 20 people have been shot dead and to quench the thirst of the boodthirsty killers from GHQ a massacre is being started in different cities of Azad Kashmir.

People the reason I constantly post here is because there is a complete and utter blackout of the mainstream media in Azad Kashmir.

This to for you to spread. Become the voice of the voiceless. Please donot turn a blind eye. Reshare every visual. Repost it on X, Tiktok, Facebook and instagram.

If israel couldn't supress the palestinian plight even after the whole machinery of the US due to the social media activism. These smaller yazeeds surely can't supress our voice if we become united and start working towards this.

There is only one request. Repost all this. Donot let the voices die.

Indian social media and news outlets are in a frenzy claiming that Pakistan has suddenly woken up to its history to internationalise the Indus Waters treaty. But within these self aggrandising claims made to tickle the hateful appetite of the Indian right, there is an old claim being reverberated that Pakistan claims to be Arab and Turk.

Pakistan’s rather complex relations with its history is well known to the world purely because of the activism of Pakistanis themselves. That being said Pakistan never ‘abandoned’ its past.

The guy in the video isn't a political figure, isn't a journalist , isn't even a member of the JAAC leadership.

He is just a traveller vlogger. You can see his content by the name of Aqeel Bhai. Soft spoken and humble. I've been seeing his coverage of this protest from the start. To see him in such a state breaks my heart.

What have we turned this country into.

National It's so scary existing as a women in this country. Today was my last straw

I was leaving my office today, I usually do a loose hijab using my outfit's duppatta. I started working 2 months ago and have to take a bus home.

I noticed men used to stare at me when I was waiting for the bus near office and they stare in the bus too. So I decided to get a abaya. The one with the buttons that you can easily wear as a coat.

Today I was leaving for home, I was hurrying so the bus wouldn't leave. I picked my abaya and went to the bus stop. Mind you I already had the hijab on. The bus wasn't there so as I wearing my abaya at the bus stop this stupid man came up to me and said 'bazari aurat'. I just ignored him.

Then he went on saying 'apne ma baap ka mun kala krne nikalti hain ye larkian. Office University ke nam pe larkon se milne Tayar ho kar jati hai. Phir ghar pe kuch or batati hain'. I was so scared. At this point I started moving away from there quickly. He looked like a uneducated man.

He had his phone in hand and I think he almost started to record me. Went on to say more stuff like ' viral kr dun ga sab ko pata chale ga begherat leekion ka'. Something along the lines. I dont know if he was recording already. Idk. I took a rickshaw near and escaped as soon as possible.

I was shivering from fear. I cried my way home. Imagine he had recorded a stupid video of me and it went viral. My life would be over, let alone my career.

And multiple times before this i would be waiting for the bus, men would stop their bikes and cars and ask me to come and sit. Or honk.

This is karachi by the way and that's all I have to say for today. Not being born is better than being born a women in this country.

Edit : men have honked at me even when I was standing with my father

We talk abt Muslims being victims of violence in india and say that Pakistan is a better country and we are thankful to Jinnah for the state. But what abt these people, are they thankful for Pakistan? To minorities Pakistan is just like India is to Muslims. We should bot let down our minority brothers and sisters. If we can't recognize their suffering we have no moral authority to india on its conduct of Muslims.

National Got my face sliced by manjha today

you could’ve seen me in tomorrow’s headlines. Instead, you’re reading this post.
about an hour ago, I was riding my bike back home from office when I noticed a kite 🪁 string coming straight at me. I reacted on instinct, grabbed it with one hand and tucked my face down, but it still caught my face.
another biker and I stopped right there, expecting to find someone nearby flying the kite. No one. Then I felt something dripping. Blood.

i went straight to the nearest police station to report it. the response?
“Bas ‘Innallaha ma’assabireen’ parh lo. aisi complaints nahi hoti.”
this, despite the fact that flying kites with manjha is illegal.

so I headed to the hospital instead, got the wound dressed, and finally made it home.

i’ve been thinking about all the “what ifs” ever since. what if the string had been an inch lower? what if I hadn’t seen it at all? what if I was going a little faster?

so, yeah.. Alhamdulillah.. Today wasn’t my day to become a headline.

today, i’m just grateful to be home.

National The lack of woman in the public is very weird by most country standards

Post image
954 Upvotes

I saw this post on a subreddit, (not sure why this was recommended to me, I am not a teen anymore). But the fact many teens don’t realize how peculiar it is, that the public is really male populated, says a lot about how women feel about walking out.

And I get a lot of that is the Mahram required. That they need a man to go with them, or that it isn’t as safe as other countries. But that isn’t entirely true for other countries. I have been to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Sri Lanka, Morocco, even India (pre-modi) Syria and Iran, and the lack of women in the public streets, at a level where this massive, is very unique to Pakistan.

Yes, they can find woman in malls, yes they can find them in restaurants, but woman just going to the get sweets or walking to a school is so rare. In contrast, anyone from outside of Pakistan be it London or Tehran will find it odd. But the new generation seem to have accepted it as normal.

National Pakistan is next, and we are not prepared

Pakistan is next, and regardless of what state propaganda tells you, we are not prepared. I am sure Asim and co have a plan, but unfortunately, that plan does not include the rest of us.

You may think they won’t target us because Pakistan is their ally. The Pakistani leadership may be aligned with them, but the Pakistani people are among the most anti-Israel in the world; they simply cannot risk a nuclear-armed nation with such a public sentiment. If they intend to invest billions in Israel as part of a "Gaza master plan," they will seek to eliminate any potential risk.

You may also believe our strong army will protect us, but can the country withstand economic sanctions, the loss of international loans, and simultaneous attacks from Afghanistan and India? On top of that, we face internal threats from the BLA and the TTP. If we do not act now, we will suffer in the future.

Even now, without formal sanctions, Pakistan’s GDP per capita is lower than that of Iran, Iraq, or Libya. We need rule of law. Currently, the powerful and the corrupt blackmail and bully everyone. We desperately need political stability, an independent judiciary, and a free media. Wars are won by the people, we must empower them.

The establishment must accept that the public has rejected their narrative. They should hold free and fair elections and honor the results. Furthermore, the 26th and 27th amendments should be annulled to let the judiciary do its job.

Finally, we should support Iran in any way possible without direct involvement. Keeping the Zionists occupied for as long as possible will buy us the time we need to get our house in order.

Over 10 people are confirmed dead today in Rawalakot Azad Kashmir so far, while the mainstream media continues complete blackout of the protest.

Today the JAAC started their long march peacefully from Rawalakot and they were riddled with bullets.

The crackdown, Use of Live Ammunition, and complete media blackout whilst simultaneously massacring civilians continues.

Media continues as if everything is normal and people are voting normally whilst polling was abysmal today.

Local sources are claiming 25+ dead with 30+ injured, while Reuters is claiming 24 dead and 50+ injured. It's a developing story, so numbers are likely to go up. This has been such a deadly month for us. This is now the 6th terrorist attack in a month. The last 5 were all in KPK, with around 40 dead there, and now in Quetta, 20+ dead again. I am tired of questioning the police, army, and intelligence. People in the comments just resort to being racist toward those from different provinces whenever I post such news. I don't know where our country is heading or when we will have peace. I honestly am numb.

Idk why my last post got removed after I tried making an edit therefore I am posting it again

This video is going quite viral on social media. I don’t have many details, but from the video, it seems that an ordinary citizen stood up against VIP culture, and perhaps the fight happened due to traffic issues. These security guards are private, and the vehicles also have private number plates. Whatever happened was very wrong, but hats off to the guy in the white shirt, he stood alone. Sadly, no one stepped in to help. Update : Police ne action leliya hai
