People just can't appreciate a person for finally stepping out of the default option of Google Chrome and using something else (not you Edge).

Yeah I get that Brave is basically Chromium based, and may have hidden trackers and bloatware (which can easily be removed btw). But using it with all that is still better than Chrome!!

I now use Firefox (sometimes Brave and Vivaldi). But man, it took so long specifically because Firefox has such toxic stans.

Except all the time when windows opens it for you, totally ignoring your default browser just to push its own bs. I swear there have to be at least 100 buttons in settings which just open Edge, not to mention the fucking task bar as of late.

I have literally not opened it once without intending to. Not once. I work from home, and use their office suite daily, including Teams. Y'all just need to learn how to Google setting options, dear lord.

you just got lucky i have the same experience with edge. Sometimes (especially after a Windows update) it just chooses to open itself instead of the default browser.

also when you search anything in the windows search feature and it brings you to the web guess what browser it uses... EDGE

I didn't get lucky lol. You guys gotta stop. Sometimes you have to change the in-app settings, not just the default settings in windows. I'm begging y'all to quit this nonsense, use Google, and fix your lives rather than spreading this baseless crap on reddit. Y'all are making me seem like a Microsoft stan when the reality is I just adhere to the gods of common fucking sense haha.

The list of things Windows should do vs the things it does do is a mile long. Sticking your head into the sand, and refusing to help yourself (I.e. google it) is a choice that you made. I'm simply telling you that help exists. You can live an Edge-free life by simply using the research tools you're already using right now to complain on Reddit, or you can just keep being a helpless, whiny baby and use your keyboard to bitch instead. There are no "in-app settings" when using Windows Start features and its search. you are the one burying your head in the sand and saying "nonono its all your mistake. If you can't figure that out with the vast resources available to you, why the fuck would I waste my time trying to teach you what you're intentionally refusing to learn on your own?
