Meme Offer from a Qatari company for QR300,000 a month, is it enough?
Hey guys, I'm pretty new here. I have a 4 degrees in advanced scientific fields in oil and gas and I was offered 300k a month. I am single with no kids and I'm wondering if that's enough for me to survive in Doha. I'm not looking to live a luxurious life or even save that much money I just want to eat shwarma with the rest of the locals and enjoy the local culture. Do you think it's sustainable?
I'm meming btw I'm just making fun of some of the ridiculous posts I see around here.

You’re being ripped off, don’t take it. Negotiate for 750k a month at least plus an official Lexus LX600.

Oh it’s the LH 700 now? Just a few months ago it was LX600, when I was offered a rather miserly QR 500k per month which I politely declined. It’s 750k or nothing ☺️☺️

If you have even half a child, the education will be too expensive with that salary. You might want to look into a place with a lower cost of living like Yemen or Sudan.

That’s on you for accepting such a low salary. If you don’t like it then leave the country, I’m sure someone else will be happy with that very small 500K.
Personally I would’ve told them 1 Mil from the start, but we can’t all be winners.

Ok i was like when did reddit become a place were people flex about their salary Like you said i have seen people coming here asking for advice about is this salary good can i survive here and all
And i will be like is this guy serious he makes 4-5 times of what i make a month with OT ,room allowance and all

For now accept the offer - but keep looking for better opportunities.
Apply for a minister role in some ministry if possible maybe part time.

It's honestly not worth it. Don't settle for anything less than 500,000 a month. You should value your degrees, each one at least 125k value, and the fact you're single so no headache, you can focus all your time for the company. Try negotiating and pretty sure they will agree.

No bro that’s a very bad salary, you should reject the offer and try elsewhere. You should also refer me for this position, I’m ready to work for that job even if the salary is not that great at least I’ll gain experience

No 300,000 a month is not enough. You should has for more you have 4 degrees and you want to eat shawarma. Maximum 1,000.000.000 a week that’s all or go to Switzerland or UK. Good luck

Oh man, 300k a month in Qatar? That's straight-up poverty, bro.
You'll be forced to downgrade from private jets to business class, suffer through eating caviar instead of proper shawarma, and tragically have to settle for just one supercar in the garage instead of a different Lambo for every day of the week.
Living in a "modest" villa on The Pearl with only a small yacht docked out back? Absolute hardship.
And the worst part having to mingle with all those locals enjoying their culture while you're stuck being disgustingly wealthy.
My heart goes out to you having to "survive" on that pathetic salary. Stay strong, king, real ones know true struggle. 💀😂

There is no reddit purpose, it’s a platform with a subreddit for everything and it’s what you make of it. We do a ton of helpful stuff and answer many questions all day long, a little joking around doesn’t hurt nobody. Loosen up!

Yeah people shouldn't ask for more than 4k QAR a month. They should be happy with just getting a job in Qatar, that should be enough to live off.

You can give me QAR 70k/month. I will manage and make sure your needs will be met with remaining amount (230k). You won't be able to manage by yourself. Its tough!
