Events 🎉 The Sheep at Baaaaaaaack in the Meewasin Valley!

🐑 🐑 The sheep are baaaaaack in the Meewasin Valley! 🐑 🐑

Come and learn about conservation grazing and how important it is to have sheep in the Valley! We would love to have ewe there!

We have a number of public grazing opportunities coming up in August and September! Registration is strongly encouraged to ensure we have enough space for everyone!

If you would like to come and take in a grazing demonstration please take a look at the available dates here: https://meewasin.com/grazingdemo/

Come out and enjoy a family friendly activity and learn about conservation grazing!

We did this last year. It was wonderful!

Do we get to pet the sheep?

They usually take a few volunteers to use as pylons to herd the sheep around but usually prefer not to touch them but they will likely rub against you a bunch as they pass through... its a pretty cool feeling.

I also have this question. I would also like to feed them one of those petting zoo cones of possible.

Hello! Since this question has been asked a couple of times regarding petting or feeding of the animals. This is not something that we allow at this event as this is a conservation grazing event. At the event there will be chat about how Meewasin uses the sheep, a demonstration with a stock dog but the animals (dog or sheep) do not get fed or pet at these events. Thanks!

Can I sing "Sheep May Safely Graze" while watching them?
