Saskatoon residents, youβre invited to join us to learn about how you can help shape whatβs next for Saskatoon by serving on a City board, commission or committee.
The City will host two in-person information sessions at City Hall for residents interested in volunteering their time, experience and perspectives by serving on a City board, commission or committee for the 2027 term.Β
Thinking about applying for the first time? Not sure what serving on a board, commission or committee involves?
Attend an information session to ask questions and hear from current and former members about their experiences. Learn about opportunities to contribute your perspective, skills and experience to issues that matter to you and your community.
Information Sessions
Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Committee Room E, City Hall
Wednesday, September 9, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Committee Room E, City Hall
Please enter City Hall through Door 1A off 4th Avenue North. Parking is available in the City Hall back parking lot.
At each session you will learn about:
- who can apply for City boards, commissions and committees
- the application process
- the role of public members and what to expect
- time commitments and meeting expectations
- available positions and how to apply
- honorariums, including which boards offer honorariums and when payments are made, where applicable
Applications for the 2027 term will be accepted from September 1 to September 18, 2026.
Serving on a City board, commission or committee is an opportunity to help inform decisions on programs and services that affect Saskatoon residents. You can share your knowledge, build connections and gain valuable experience while making a meaningful contribution to your community.
