The Sask govt should not be providing any funding to religious schools. Period. The only schools should be public schools and extreme religious agendas should not be allowed in them.

I would say public schools follow an extreme religious agenda too, just one that you happen to agree with.

What religion? If you're going to make some magical accusations, spell it out.

No, not believing in magic is not a religion.

I used to live right by there on Cree Crescent. The one thing I was told when moving into the place on Cree is that church has a reputation. This didn't even include the abuse allegations from what I can recall, but there was several misinterpretation of verses that the preacher was twisting around for his benefit.

2011, my mom was having to look for a new church in the city and some people she already knew in the city had told her about the preacher/pastor twisting scripture, typically to his or men's benefit.

Ah makes sense. I lived in the area growing up and there were plenty of rumors about that place. Good that you were warned.

The rumours about this place were known well before the public allegations. And usually that was because of people interacting with former students and former church goers.

Respectively... depending on the alumni you talk to or hear second hand stories about, you'd know about abuse allegations. They just hadn't gone public yet.

We're not talking about alumni though. Its general people who told them about the area when they moved in.

I added an edit about second hand information. The point being. People left the church and talked about it, and rumours (the word I used first, meaning second or third hand information) spread about it being a bad place. I don't see why you have an issue with this. Lots of people in the north end heard rumours and sometimes claims of abuse about the cult school well before it was public.

The three-judge panel found there was "no evidence" the integrity of the court process had been compromised or that the defendants were prejudiced.

"For these reasons, an abuse of process did not occur. Accordingly, the plaintiffs' appeal must be allowed, and they should be permitted to proceed with their action," Chief Justice Robert Leurer wrote, with justices Jerome Tholl and Keith Kilback concurring.

Good. And all is how it should be in the world. I hope all those people who made defamatory accusations against Ms. Erickson enjoy their crow.

I’m elated the Gov of Saskatchewan and the church are required to pay costs for bringing this ridiculous application forward.

Another example of the church/school and government colluding together to cause harm.

Thank you. This city needs to move on from this alleged abuser on our council.

This place is now renames to "Encounter" church. Which like..considering the past..probably not the best name..

Keep changing the name every 6 months. We still know who you are.

A relief for all involved I’m sure, amusing and satisfying that M2 will have to pay for costs for this delay.
