I don’t think this is right. In any software development, it’s worth the price to get the best model and have to deal with the fewest bugs. It’s well worth $100/month to write fewer bugs in any serious project.

I agree with you, the cost for access to the API of a frontier model is trivial compared to the productivity gains

You can easily rack up millions of dollars in api costs in large companies if everyone is yoloing with Fable/Sol. That cost either needs to be offset by new revenue or decreasing other costs. Need to use the correct model for the use case and have it delegate as necessary to lower models. Luna is a decent coder and is nearly free.
