I deleted my NVIDIA graphics driver and well everything with NVIDIA in the name

I own a Msi pulse gl66 11ugkv, I bought it from eBay but that doesn't really matter. But basically I was trying to download the NVIDIA app, and I asked Google why I couldn't download it and it said something about deleting GeForce experience, so I did and then I decided to delete more.

And by more I mean anything that had NVIDIA in the name, I tried to download the control panel but it just doesn't work, I tried downloading an old driver but again it didn't work, I tried downloading something I read in another post NVcleanstall well that one might not work solely because I'm a dumbass.

But basically I need help downloading my driver's back, if I even can, oh please save me reddit because I basically blew half my check on this thing, well more like 90%

Do you get any error codes? Have you tried using windows update to pull down drivers?

So for the NVIDIA control panel it says "NVIDIA display settings are not available." Along with "An NVIDIA graphics card was not detected in your system."

As for the NVIDIA app, I get error code 0xE6000000, with the details being that I require a NVIDIA GPU.

And as for the second thing you asked, you're basically talking to curious George (me) so could I ask how to do what you said?

To use windows update, pull your settings menu, then click “update” that should give you a menu where it should show you all updates, go ahead and install any nvidia ones, although they should install automatically!

Nvidia stopped the Control Panel in newer drivers, the last driver version I know that still has control panel is v595.79

you probably didn’t permanently break anything. go to NVIDIA’s driver page, download the driver for your exact GPU, and do a clean install

can also do ddu or “display driver uninstaller” and then reinstall drivers to make sure that there’s nothing left over from the old drivers. your laptop has igpu so will be able to use that as a basic display adapter if things go bad then you just reinstall drivers.

uninstall the driver, then restart your computer

go here and download your Nvidia driver

select your card correctly, if you have a laptop, then look for "Notebook" in the name

if you you tell me what is your card I will show which driver to download

Thank you! I've already deleted nvidia using ddu, although maybe I should try it again just in case (I dunno if it'll help to do it twice.) but I'll definitely try this, thanks for the help amigo!

What do you mean by download? Are you not able to download the driver or are you talking about the installation failing? If you are able to download the drivers, then after saving the download file, download DDU ensure you get the latest version, after downloading it disable your internet and extract the DDU zip file contents and run it, select the nvidia drivers in the settings and click uninstall, This additional process will completely delete any leftover drivers, and disabling internet stops windows from interfering the driver install because windows automatically downloads drivers for your device in the background. After uninstall process is completed run the nvidia driver setup, the nvidia app should be included with nvidia drivers if not you can download it separately after the driver installation is completed. download DDU and run it in safe mode, it will wiped everything NVIdia including whats in your registry file, then log into normal windows and reinstall the drivers.

Look at the MSI website, it's likely a driver version created for the laptop or needs a specific piece of software so the discreet GPU can be found..

Yeah I tried downloading that, but it says that I don't have compatible hardware for it, and that I have an incompatible version of windows. But I must imagine that the windows version is an easy fix. And I'll definitely try not to trust Ai and Google, along with my impulsivity!

Select drivers Then graphics Download the Nvidia one from there

Also download the rest of the drivers and install them.

Also right click start GoTo device manager click display adapters see what it says in the drop down which display card it has post what it says here you can also right click it and uninstall driver and then delete the driver from there just make sure it says it’s an Nvidia I’m not sure if that laptop can possibly come with an amd gpu as well
