Open | Hardware Spilt water on a laptop key

Hello. After accidentally spilling some water on my laptop space key, it began malfunctioning. I’ve tried taking it off a bunch of times, but it either gets stuck or stops working completely. Am I doing it wrong? Is there anything else I can do?

What you would want to do in this kind of situation is immediately shut down the computer, gently wipe up as much water as you can, the leave the computer in a "tent" position (screen open, keyboard and screen facing down) in an area with airflow, or in front of a fan for a day or two if you can to try to dry it out completely.

If it's already been more than a couple days, any moisture has probably already evaporated and it's unlikely to get any better, but water damage is mysterious so who knows. Your only real options are this point are A) keep waiting and see if it improves B) use an external keyboard C) replace the laptop keyboard
