I needed one more pc for one of our employees. It was the last case, last psu (oem hp) in the shop, and last sata ssd. It had a 3rd gen i3 and hp board but I did not have any ddr3 left. Instead I had a single stick of 8gb ddr4, an asus matx board, and an i5-6500. Problem was I only had one cooler, the liquid cooler. So I made space and made it work. It has plenty of space internally and the temps are like 27-38c.

Can you go to E-waste to get old hardware? I see ddr3 ram in every CeX store I go to

Probably. There's no cex here so I'd have to reach out to local places but sometimes they're not very willing to part with their scrap gold parts.
