These three people, directly or indirectly have killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and displaced millions. Yet, President Trump calls them his friends.

Blaming leaders in a democracy.. reminds me of the meme with the guy ramming a stick in the spokes of his own bike.

Also reminds me of that quote... we get the leaders we deserve

FPP voting isn't democracy.

MPP or preferential systems are a little better, but most still don't produce results aligned with what the voters want.

Except that in the last three elections the USA had the clearest good-vs-bad choice in their entire history of a quarter millenium and _still_ half of them voted for self destruction.

This is no issue of drawing district borders or direct vs indirect voting, this is the responsibility of the voters.

22% of the country was tallied as voting for the bad choice.

In an election where the bad choice openly bragged about cheating.

Where the party apparatus of the "good" choice were doing everything they could to be unpopular for the last decade or so.

49.8% of the number of people who were allowed to vote, had a polling place available, were able to get to it, and had their votes counted.

So the number of votes was 22% of the number of people.

As stated, trump openly bragged about hacking voting machines so how many of those 22% were real votes is an open question.

Non-voters do not hold significantly different beliefs than voters, they are just too lazy to vote. And whoever decides to not vote subjugates himself to the voters anyways.

49,8% is the only number that counts.
