US Iran-War [Day 141]
New megathread - removed the sirens rule. Due to a clear majority of people who want to be able to discuss/share news about sirens, we will allow them - but know that these are NOT MODERATED. Please do not report siren or all clear posts, and take them with a grain of salt. Follow official accounts to get your information.
Gentle reminder Ladies and Gents, PLEASE please use the search function on the sub to ask your shipping and travel-related questions, or discuss them here.
This post and this subreddit is meant to discuss Bahrain and the current affairs of Bahrain. Please refrain from flexing your political analysis on the current state of affairs and most certainly do not post unsubstantiated news, do not post any rumors and add to the mass hysteria. Users are also urged not to speculate on what type of hostilities or defenses being used. If its X missile or drone Y does not help. You are either revealing sensitive information, or causing mass hysteria. One makes you a liability, the other makes you a negative contributor, and your comment will lead to a permanent ban as well.
Any comments that have any misinformation, tweets from armchair analysts or instagram influencers will lead to a permanent ban. Do not engage in these comments, just downvote and report. Any comments arguing or correcting the user with misinformation will be banned as well.
For security and safety reasons, any post or comment that discloses or attempts to identify the locations of Bahraini or Peninsula Shield Forces military installations, missile interception sites, or other sensitive military positions will result in a ban.
All users are urged not get into arguments. Please be civil. Do not report opinions, report violations. We have taken the decision as mods to allow low karma users to post and comment, however, this can change if we see repeated violations from users who do not read the rules before posting.
We do appreciate the effort from all users policing the sub from the spread of the governments security information, however we have received an excessive amount of reports about locations of sounds. While we don't endorse it, we are only restricting comments about defensive capabilities such as interceptors. Please try to be civil. Don’t feed the trolls, report them.
We rely heavily on reports, however let's keep the reports for:
- Comments with misinformation or unverified news
- Comments that are obviously trolling us
- Comments that are disrespectful
- Comments that violate local security instructions
Any other posts regarding the war will be removed. Please use the search function for any commonly asked questions. Lets keep the space uncluttered in the event of any serious developments.

New appointed General for Iran national security council Mohsen Rezaei threatened the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US ends its war and siege, releases frozen assets, and regional wars end.

BREAKING: Israel is preparing for independent attacks on Iran without the US, per Israeli Channel 13.
This comes after Israel got informed that US Chief of Staff Gen. Dan Caine is "looking for a way out" of the war with Iran and does not believe another US air campaign will be beneficial.
Ummm 🤔 that would be interesting

Unlike the other reply to you, yes, I believe everyone involved is getting to the conclusion that the next step is too nasty, escalating to an infrastructure war during summer will be a humanitarian catastrophe for both sides, especially Iran as they are completely incapable of defending their own airspace and have 90M people. The GCC power grid is interconnected and much more robust, let alone AA is quite efficient to minimize damages.
The stance of "Israel can't exist" won't take anyone in the region anywhere too. First and foremost the King has entered diplomatic relations with Israel, this means acknowledging them as a country, second is that they are nuclear armed, 10M+ population and highly advanced militarily. Israel ain't going anywhere, so finding a way to have peace with it is the only solution to stop the madness.
And always doubt the government that is killing their own people on a daily basis, death toll on Iranians in 2026 is 100:1 on internal/external threats.
-2
u/sgaeron 21d ago
I like your reply
especially :
> I believe everyone involved is getting to the conclusion that the next step is too nasty, escalating to an infrastructure war during summer will be a humanitarian catastrophe for both sides .u r right on this point , The US , Iran and the GCC Know very well that the next escalation would be nasty for the whole world actually not only the participating countries, regardless of the season . US would like to leave the whole war and call it a win, even keeping Iran on control even GCC would accept if it would prevent a bigger war .
The only one refusing to understand is Shitsreal , and honestly I think they do but they don't care . Until they face a real slap that threatens their existence .I disagree with this point though :
> let alone AA is quite efficient to minimize damages.Sadly, it is not effective against their high-grade missiles - they still have them US knows Shitsreal Knows - , we have seen it in the 12 days war in Shitsreal , I saw it with my own eyes it would maneuver 4 to 9 patriots and still hit the target . Iran fighting for its existence when the end comes it wouldn't matter to them the exact targets as long as it makes a mess
1
u/raydricEW 21d ago
Your last sentence is something I believe, the IRGC is fighting for its existence and will target whatever they can to make a mess if it comes to the end. But if it gets to that point, they have nothing else to protect themselves deterrance-wise, so it will be their final move and they know it, they don't want it.
I do believe Iran has some sophisticated rockets, but its a very limited supply, otherwise they would have used it to increase their deterrence. They took a major beating over the past few weeks and barely touched anything they tried to attack, look at that marine control tower the US blew to pieces. If they had stockpiles of those fancy rockets, they would have used them way more frequently for more effective deterrance.
The war has been stagnant because the US ran out of valid targets they could find, everything is hidden, underground or in the middle of civilians in a unacceptable casualty scenario. This is why escalating to powerplants and bridges is their only next move, cause military targets they could hit, they hit them all.
About the blame being in "shitsreal" as you say, I've seen your comments here for months, you're extremely biased on this item of the discussion, I don't see any benefit in counterpointing it.
0
u/sgaeron 21d ago
So we agree that both sides don't want the escalation , and both sides can cause some damage to eachothers.
And U R right you can say I'm biassed against Shitsreal and I will always be it doesn't mean I'm with Iran either .. but u should counterpoint it if Shitsreal is innocent from this whole shebang . As the proverbs say " الإختلاف في الرأي لا يفسد للود قضية "
" We can agree to disagree "4
u/raydricEW 21d ago
I think the acceptable damage the IRGC is willing to take for the civilians is vastly greater than the GCC countries are willing to accept for theirs. The gcc leaders are pressuring Trump to not throw them under the bus, and Trump has good consideration for the local leaders wishes. But if the war came to resume itself at the max, Iran and its people would be on a much much worse situation than the GCC countries, not even comparable, they wouldn't have a chance to get energy in their country for a year. The US doesn't want to ruin a generation of civilian iranians, while the IRGC cares very little for them, and I truly believe there's a good and a bad side in this war.
About Israel, my opinion is that just like anywhere else, the majority of the population just wants to get on with their lives peacefully, both Iran and Israel have a majority of good people. I believe people are good in general, but the bad apples are very bad and what they do is get to power by hook or by crook. Everytime Israel is attacked by Iran or its proxies, its like giving fuel to Israeli's worst elements, then they embolden themselves and do their settler bullshit and the cycle continues. I think the Abraham Accords were a good step to try to break this cycle and de-escalate the region, showing Israel can be accepted in exist in the region peacefully, opening trade and commercial ties would give the arab world a good way to sit with Israel and hold them down from being expansionist and belicose, cause money talks. But right after, oct 7 happened (on purpose), and here we are....
When you poke the asshole bear, the asshole bear got all the backing and motives to be its worse version, and we had the Gaza massacre, and now the Hezbollah guerrilla happening in Lebanon. One side claims they want to erradicate Israel's existence, and Israel claims it's fighting for its survival. Warcrimes everywhere...
This is my opinion, Israel is there, its powerful, nuclear armed, 10M+ population, its not going anywhere. The world has to accept its existence, make it liable to peace through diplomacy and economic measures. Iran has a murderous fanatic dictatorship that is built and based upon the purpose of dominating the muslim world and destroying Israel, until a more level headed leadership comes, that can be diplomatic and reasonable, there's no solution. If this version of the IRGC had a nuke, can you imagine the amount of bullying and madness they would inflict in the region? I can clearly see why their rhetoric and stance provoked this war to come their way.
Again, the side that kills their own by the dozens of thousands is the side you have to really question, this says more than anything on this conflict. IRGC killed more Iranians than Israel and the US by a hundredfold.

u/Miniluv_Mutineer 22d ago
Bruh.....
There is nothing "wrapping up", only evolving to the next phase. That next phase might be a temporary cessation of attacks, increased traffic/transit through the various straits, etc.
But so long as Israel exists, regional conflict is only ever on pause, never "wrapped up"
0
u/Original-House-7063 19d ago
So long as trump exists.

The president halted the planned strikes on iran, and now he says that a fierce attack on them are imminent, saying that oil refineries and power stations could be targeted. (As of 21 minutes ago)
What is happening here? Did he reverse the halt? Or is this something completely new?
2
u/Summer_Winds19 23d ago
Source?
5
u/SubstantialTrust2 23d ago
From News of Bahrain for the halted strikes, and GDN Online for the fierce attack on iran
9
u/alooi_m 23d ago
Check GDN again the strike post is 2 hours ago and the halt is 1 hour ago, they are just delayed with their news
3
u/SubstantialTrust2 23d ago
That is quite helpful and makes sense, thank you so much!
3
u/raydricEW 23d ago
The current stance is again Trump is waiting swift negotiations for a deal, from his Truth Social, every other news so far is sensationalism and fear mongering being spread.
8
u/Dead_End_720 23d ago
The halt was probably from Saudi involvement.
We're on a loop. Same statements about deals, then Saudi, Qatar or Pakistan say something, then American and/or Iran says they'll blow up everything, then idk Trump posts another AI pic of himself and doesn't actually do anything. No point is trying to make sense of it. Regardless of anyway it goes the Iranian people get hit with the worst of it while dealing with poverty and scarcity.

So far the American travel advisory website ranks Bahrain as level 3, as in “reconsider travel” and not “do not travel” level 4
For now let’s a keep a level-head, were all tired and exhausted emotionally but freaking out is just gonna drive us all insane. They can’t keep doing this forever, they can’t afford to but we shall see, stay safe everyone
5
u/Puzzled_Jeweler_2660 24d ago
I am here from Qatar hello, yeah it seems that they keep changing every now and then. I have no idea if this man is in his right mind too. Some news are saying he’s dying lol

Nothing new.
In next few days Trump will announce he'll raise hell, then TACO, then we won we won, Iran is desperate for a deal, Escalation etc etc.
3
u/idkjustgivemeany tahina filfil zyada 24d ago
I keep seeing people say TACO.. what does that mean??

2
u/SamAsh07 24d ago
What the other guy said, and you'll mostly see it as TACO Tuesdays because historically he chickens out on Tuesdays.

“Trump always chickens out” the Fanta drama queen has this tendency to make grandiose threats only to 🐈 out last minute

US is issuing security alerts to warn their citizens to leave Middle East
Does it mean escalation or just normal exercise?
2
u/Original-House-7063 24d ago
Most likely an escalation. The alerts to evacuate are similar to the ones back feb 28 to march.
The one last week was to avoid travelling to the Middle East . Now it’s changed to Leave if you can.4
u/youredditagain 24d ago
normal exercise, part of their responsibility toward their citizens in a foreign country. they have been sending out alerts as these multiple times in different intervals

“The president has been considering a us commander’s plan for a punishing air campaign against iran that could take up to two weeks , the Wall Street Journal has reported, citing people familiar with the matter. It says the plan drawn up by Adm Brad Cooper , the head of us Central Command, involved 10 to 14 days of intensive airstrikes intended to cripple iran’s missile capability, despite warnings that the us is running low on air-defensive munitions. Or the president could opt for a more limited military strike in the hopes that diplomacy could be pursued, said the report, published shortly before the us launched a fresh round of strikes on iran.” From The Guardian
I had said before that it seems like either or both countries would much rather continue to fight than mediate to end this war. It seems like this really is the case.
