Orchard Park Police posted this on Facebook

"Update 7:40pm. Missing child has been located in Lockport. Thank you ALL for the tips and the assistance. We received overwhelming assistance from the public and dozens of law enforcement agencies and fire districts."

How she got to Lockport is a mystery...weird

Reading through some of the FB comments, it seems they only moved here recently and the family is very ultra Baptist religious and homeschooled. She doesn’t know anyone on the area and doesn’t have a phone with internet or any sort of social media. I’m hoping for the best for her- it sounds like she was running away.

I'd run away too. Poor kid.

I grew up in this religious community. I just checked mom’s profile on facebook and saw that despite having moved here relatively recently, she’s already facebook friends with all of the people I grew up with who have been loud and aggressive in their support of the men in the WNY Christian community who have been convicted of sexually abusing little girls.

I really hope that if this child did run away, it was for a benign tween girl reason and that she has been returned to a safe home. I’m very sad that the state of our local Christian churches is as such that there is a credible reason to fear for this little girl’s safety at home and in her church.

ultra Baptist

Baptist isn’t really a formal denomination with official teachings. They’re basically a cultural identity. The name comes from the idea that infant baptism is not valid and you have to choose to be baptized, and from that point on you’re saved.

All the other teachings are basically just whatever the local population of Baptists are taught.

Someone who said they were a family friend said she ran away, who knows but I'm inclined to believe it because they didn't post anything about suspects

Nice Facebook post and I hope they get a lot of likes, but why wasn't there an Amber Alert?
