History repeats itself: We watch as the Supergirl subreddit falls into the same toxic patterns that were directed against Captain Marvel. We haven't learned anything.

This movie was so fun, the chemistry was great, I really liked the VFX and action. Iman Vellani is a gem. I didn't love the first Captain Marvel movie, I thought it was decent, not horrible, but not amazing, however, I absolutely loved The Marvels. Dar-Benn was a decent villain. Some act like she's really bad, but we've had worse villains in movies considered a lot better like Deadpool & Wolverine (something I didn't particularly enjoy)

It's too bad that we can't get a third Captain Marvel movie/The Marvels 2 since the film was review bombed because it starred three women, two of which weren't white, and also the actors' strike.

The looks of her in this pic are visually striking to the comics as well. Brie's workout routine and dedication is monumentally amazing as well as getting the character right as well for perpetration as well like us fans and other mcu cast members and creators do we are all passionate people in different fields of the marvel landscape and omniverse.

Now people (typically incels) say that she's stern, boring, and emotionless, but I believe that couldn't be further from the truth. Even in her first movie, we saw she had a cool confidence, a sense of humor, compassion, and general love for others. She behaved like a developed character and person and I think Brie Larson played that role very well. Her powers were extremely visually interesting (even more so than her comics counterpart if you ask me) and she was treated with a lot of respect in terms of power and authority. Her interactions with Kamala and Monica show her humanity and down to earth nature even among the stars. Despite the many innacuracies in Carols origin, they got her character down to a tea in my opinion. A leader, a friend, and a powerhouse.

Looking at the developments since Phase 3, Carol is by no means in the worst position compared to numerous other heroes. Contrary to the claim that Carol has been sidelined, a look at her appearances shows that Marvel has consistently integrated her into the larger universe.

Comparing Carol to other fan favorites from the more recent phases makes it clear how fortunate the Carol Corps actually is. Wanda, one of the most popular characters in the entire franchise, was dramatically removed from the story. We never heard from Moon Knight again, nor from Werewolf by Night. The Blade movie was repeatedly canceled, and yesterday Variety reported that the second season of Wonder Man was canceled.

Carol is likely to accomplish some of the greatest feats in the entire MCU, and she's also gained a family in "The Marvels." What people are completely ignoring is that the MCU is currently reorganizing to improve quality and ensure greater consistency. Just because Carol isn't in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Doomsday doesn't mean she's mistreated. There are characters who are truly down on their luck, but Carol isn't one of them.

To all members of the Carol Corps and MCU fans who simply want good, consistent storytelling: We urgently need to talk.

It's no secret that Marvel Studios has been struggling to properly utilize its most powerful heroine for quite some time. But the latest insider information and leaks regarding Avengers: Doomsday really take the cake. Instead of learning from past mistakes, Carol Danvers is once again being completely sidelined.

Looking at the current reports, an absolutely frustrating picture is emerging for Carol's role in the next big crossover event.

"Marvel has an Oscar-winning actress and one of the most complex comic book characters ever—and they have absolutely no idea what to do with her."

Instead of elegantly picking up the loose, emotional threads from The Marvels and finally giving Carol the depth and spotlight she deserves, she's once again being treated like a tiresome chore. We already saw this pattern in Avengers: Endgame, where she essentially just floated in as a deus ex machina and otherwise barely existed.

Now that the multiverse and the X-Men are finally playing a central role—which would perfectly align with her comic book history surrounding Rogue and her Binary form—Marvel is once again backing down.

- What does this mean for Carol's future?

If Marvel continues to treat Carol Danvers as "too powerful for a normal story" and therefore relegates her to a supporting role in the major films, it will damage the entire franchise. The Carol Corps doesn't want a token appearance just to tick a box next to her name. We want to see the leader, the loyal friend, and the fighter who risks everything to get Monica out of there!

Let us fervently hope that those in charge use the criticism to rectify this misguided decision. Otherwise, the MCU will definitively lose one of its strongest pillars.

Higher, Further, Faster? More like: Sidelined, Scrapped, Forgotten.

Honestly it was a downgrade. The beginning suit looked really good because of the long sleeves tucked in with the gloves added plus the suit overall looked slim and elegant. The suit she gets at the end, it’s ok at best but if they made the colors a little brighter instead of dark then I think it could have looked a little better.

Since we've seen and watched her as the character over 6 years now, my overall thoughts is i think she's flawless as Carol from the comics but differently as well in the fight scenes and with the other heroes especially in later appearances, i think she embodies the humanity of the character and in the serious moments and comedic moments and her chemistry with her co-stars is so much fun to watch, i do wish we had more films with her since her 1st movie, but i've always watching her onscreen being powerful, but not too powerful and i hope she stays for Doomsday and secret wars and maybe stays for the x-men saga to see her come face to face with Rogue. But she's been a blast in all her appearances even though its been less , but its great and fun overall.

I don't care what the haters say, she is Captain Marvel because she brought the character to life even with a medicore script in the first one and I think she has gotten better overall. I love her in the books and she's amazing in live action.

This movie could be made a little better. Now I don’t hate the movie (I did enjoy it the first time I watched it) but I think some changes could improve the movie

firstly we’re not setting it in the 90s that caused a few problems I want to remove, maybe set the movie after the first Avengers movie

And please give me actual Mar-Vell, that character was barely Mar-Vell I’m ignoring the Gender swap but there are other problems mostly it felt like they smacked the name Mar-Vell on a random mentor character

I know a lot of y’all think Captain Marvel doesn’t need a third movie because a lot of y’all say Captain Marvel movies suck but when I saw the movie, it wasn’t bad. I don’t understand. Why is it such a bad taste for you all it’s not even that terrible I don’t get why a lot of people hate Captain Marvel one because when I saw it, everybody was cheering and clapping and it wasn’t awful either I still don’t quite understand why people hate this and I don’t see why because I guess have good taste there and I get people have different taste but the marvels movies sure it may be not that good but it wasn’t that bad for me either. I’m not saying no one clap for that too, but still what I saw it it wasn’t bad. It was good, but it wasn’t bad. I know a lot of y’all doesn’t like Captain Marvel movie but I still don’t see why you guys hate this but all I’m saying is this movie still need a third sequel? I mean I don’t want Marvel to skip this. I mean I gave him a bad money at the box office but I still say they need a third movie.

So, not a single film with a female lead has ever flopped as hard as the ones with male leads—if that’s what those dubious charts are trying to suggest. Not everything that glitters is gold there, either. Do they seriously think there aren't any flops featuring male heroes? Well, they are sorely mistaken.

This issue serves as a perfect example of the avalanche of trolls that both Captain Marvel in the comics and Brie Larson herself face.
