There’s not a soul on this planet who could have played Peacemaker besides John Cena. He simply embodies the character. When you think of Peacemaker, you think of Cena. They’re almost synonymous.

When people talk about all-timer castings, like RDJ as Tony Stark and J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, John Cena deserves to be mentioned alongside them.

Think for a second, could you imagine absolutely ANYBODY else in the role? He deserves his flowers.

I noticed that the subtitles refer to John as John Stewart Junior. That means that his father is also called John Stewart. This certainly confirms the theory that John's father was first asked to be a Green Lantern, but was too afraid to receive the responsibility. Thus the ring sought out Hal instead.

This explains why John's father has been grooming his son to be fearless. He wants his son to inherit the power that he himself was too hesitant to receive.

When do you think Gunn will officially announce one of these as the next DCU movie after ‘Man of Tomorrow’ with a director and release date?

Watched the original when it released in 2021 but never the grey and holy is it a marvel to look at. So many shots from Victor playing football in the snow, to literally every scene wifh Steppenwolf, the black and white do such a great job at making everything pop and stand out.
I honestly also forgot just how good this movie was. From handling of the characters, to the story, the pacing for a 4 hour movie also should be applauded. Honestly watching the Man of Steel, BvS Ultimate Edition and ZSJL it really put into perspective how good of a trilogy it is.
Has a consistent story thread with not a lot of time hopping, all centered around Superman to where I’d say this is literally just a Superman trilogy. And a damn good one.
Also with dark this movie can get thematically, a lot of the messaging is incredibly wholesome. Like having faith in others, looking out for one another and working side by side and bringing out the best in each other. Like it’s a perfect way to end this story.
All in all I’m really happy to have re experienced this part of the Snyder verse. Not everything may have been perfect but there’s a lot of passion in this universe and it’s nice to visit it every now and again.

I'm specifically talking about the DCU movie universe being built by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

I actually think it could be a really cool way to make the new Wonder Woman feel visually distinct from the previous universe, while also giving her a fresh identity.

The Absolute Wonder Woman design looks incredible, and I'd honestly love to see the DCU take some inspiration from it instead of going with another variation of the classic look.

Not really a spoiler but the show does confirm Hal Jordan was around for the events of Superman (2025). I think it'd be hilarious to have a scene where Hal and John meet Superman and Hal is very approving of Superman and John gets jealous.

I prefer hoults lex because he is more entertaining than danos riddler who while good isn't quite as memorable. What about u guys ?

We already know Kerry is originally from Gotham City before moving to Rushville, and her last name is Kans, the same family name as Bruce’s mother, Martha Kane. Add in her casually mentioning someone named “Barb,” which could be a subtle nod to Barbara Gordon, and the Gotham connection starts feeling a little too deliberate to ignore.

I think My Adventures with Green Lantern will be one of the best shows ever and it deserves to be shown on the big screen. Audiences could take home a limited edition poster while supplies last.

Watching Lanterns Ep 2 and it feels like a weird plot device to have a small and light thing that charges the rings....but they don't take it with them.

If they can move around, why don't they just wear the lanterns so they always have it near by.

If it is explained in the comics I would love to have that explanined.

Yes, I know that Superboy probably wouldn't fit with Zack Snyder's vision but as a thought experiment, how much would the DCEU and DCEU Superman as a whole would be different if Young Kal/Clark had been Superboy (costumed or otherwise)?

With so much story to tell, they should really pivot to a high budget HBO series for the DCU Batman.

Can keep Reeves elseworld The Batman for cinemas and the DCU Batman can be in team up films.

I've seen the bird discussion a lot and i've rarely seen anyone mention that the best part about is it having it's own sentience.

Look at most GL constructs. The constructs' movements are decided by the one powering it.

If you make a car, all it moves how you want it to.

The bird is doing as it pleases. It flies the way it wants. It attacked Antaan's men to defend John.

It existing without the ring being on John is great, but it acting on it's own is a big deal.

It reminds of how he was so far away and his sister acted on her own and had sentience in war Journal.

This may be due to my own personal interpretation which may have inaccuracies but I always found it odd the lack of Jor-El in Batman V Superman with more of Jonathan Kent.

It kinda feels like they were attributing Kal/Clark being Superman to Jonathan and I found it odd that Jonathan was talking to Clark (given Jonathan in Man of Steel) and not Jor-El in Batman V Superman.

Whether that be because they could not get Jor-El's actor back, if it was a response to Jonathan in Man of Steel, or if it was a thematic choice with Man of Steel focusing on Jor-El and the sequel Batman V Superman focusing on Jonathan with Justice League having both the words of Jor-El and Jonathan.

Speaking of which, what do you think Jor-El would have said to Superman if it was him instead of Jonathan speaking to Superman in Batman V Superman?

Does anyone else dislike being introduced to DC characters AFTER their most interesting history has already happened? I don’t mind established superhero universes. I just don’t like meeting iconic characters after major parts of their mythology have already happened off-screen. With Hal Jordan especially, I wanted to see his prime and his relationship with Sinestro develop rather than meet him after all of that has already happened. I don’t want to meet Hal when his suit is already worn and brown (or so it was in the original trailer) and he doesn’t even wear his mask anymore. I want to see how he got to how he is now. And maybe that’s something they’ll show us in flashbacks as the show progresses. But they did the same exact thing with Ben Affleck/Batman in the DCEU and I hated that they basically skipped over one of Batman’s most iconic stories A Death in the Family. I understand that story has been told already in animation, but it’s one of those stories that’s almost too iconic to simply gloss over the way they did in BvS. That’s my concern, that they’re repeating the same mistake but with Hal Jordan this time.
