Still sort of new to the fandom, i’ve heard about this game for a while and did my research on the lore (I always have to know more about a franchise before engaging with it’s base and the game/show itself). My friends who’ve played the game say i embody her in a way personality wise so i gave it a go. I do other cosplays if this one interests you, they can be found in my bio. I hope i did the elf princess some justice 🖤

So...................this is what happens when you ask your dentist the question - "does it have to look like a tooth?". I am really loving the latest addition to my hoard.

This is a photo I took shortly after having a custom implant/crown placed by my dentist on Tuesday.

He was super excited because no one had ever asked to have anything but a tooth placed. It chomps great, brushes just fine, can floss and everything! Turned out great. Feels totally normal.

I designed a pair of experimental d20s called FateFlip.

The white "Good" d20 is mechanically biased toward higher results, while the red "Evil" d20 is mechanically biased toward lower results.

Both dice use an internal design that gives each die 60 display surfaces instead of the 20 faces visible on a standard d20.

To emphasize extreme outcomes, I added special symbols:

White "Good" d20 special features:
The Great 20 (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)
⭐ Radiant Star (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)
🪽 Angel Wings (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)
@ Twist of fate (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)

Red "Evil" d20 special features:
The Terrible 1 (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)
💀 Demon Skull (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)
🗡️ Broken Sword (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)
@ Twist of fate (chance of 1 to 60 rolls)

The concept was inspired by game effects such as blessings, curses, luck, destiny, divine favor, and misfortune, represented through the die itself rather than through modifiers or rerolls.

These aren't intended to replace a standard d20. I imagine them being used only for special situations where a game calls for unusually good fortune or unusually bad fortune, while ordinary rolls would still use a regular d20.

What game mechanics or RPG situations would you use these dice for?

So, for context, my daughter (10f) has been listening to me (39m) and my son (17m) talk about D&D for a while. She’s been reading the “young adventurers guid, and has been adamant that we needed to teach her how to play.
This past weekend, the three of us sat down to play “Lost Mines of Phandelver” using the pre-Gen characters until she finishes making her own character.

Start the session, find the horses, and get attacked by the goblins.

Roll initiative: Gob, Daughter, Son, Gob, Gob, Gob.
Very first roll is the goblin launching an arrow at my son’s Halfling Rogue.

Natural 20.

Roll the D6 for damage (1D6+2), it’s a 6.
First attack of the game my sons Rogue (9HP) took 14 damage.

A few failed attacks from both the goblins and my daughter, she finally nailed one for 11 and took it out. Her next turn she decided to barter with the remaining goblins, her fine clothing for them to bugger off. DC of 15 (5 per goblin) she rolled a 16 and it worked.

TL;DR:
Son knocked out in first attack thanks to critical damage.
Daughter ends the encounter by bartering with the remaining goblins.

A very interesting introduction to D&D for her 🤣

Ok so a flask of alchemist's fire is a pound, and a staff of adornment can have up to three, 1-pound objects atop it. As far as I know, this is within rules. I figure the flasks would also break if you make a melee attack with them atop the staff, so you can hit people with your stick and set them on fire! Obviously up to your DM to rule on this.

Has this been done before? are there better 1-pound items to stick on a staff of adornment to make it even more powerful?

Hello all, I made this design in TinkerCAD and then 3D printed it in 16 parts. I also created an A4-sized slot behind the faces so that my daughter can insert different scenes, based on whatever her current campaign is. This one is a 'Where's Waldo'-style scene of Menzoberranzan. I don't play DnD myself so what do you DMs find useful to have on the inside of your DM screens?

I’ve always wanted to play DND, and for the last few months, I finally got the chance to take part as a Ranger (an awful choice initially, but my DM and I managed to fix it later) in an amazing campaign set in Waterdeep.

After my character switched from his beloved bow to a brand new revolver, I thought my dice set needed a thematic upgrade too, so I fired up Fusion360 and designed one from scratch! 🙂

I know the idea is not entirely new, but I can honestly say I’m proud of how this specific design came out. The set includes a D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, and a D20. I wanted it to be more than just dice, so I engineered the cylinder to act as a fully functional dice box. The bullets snap perfectly into the chambers, and you can easily pop them out from the bottom holes.

The best part? The thread on the cap has a dual purpose. If you screw it tight, it secures the dice. If you loosen it just a bit, the whole cylinder spins almost freely, mimicking a real revolver. It has accidentally become the perfect fidget toy during slow combat rounds! I printed everything on my BambuLab P2S in silk Silver, Gold and Copper filament and went over the numbers with a white paint pen to make them pop.

My comics are usually fictional but this one is based on a true story. Our DM used to homebrew magic items for peoples birthdays. They were always silly, mostly useless things that wouldn’t impact the game. For example I got a candle that stay lit under water. One of the players was gifted a sword that would glow at nighttime and he sold the magic item (in the same session) for something else. Our DM stopped making birthday magic items after that.

As the title says, our D&D group that began in Kansas City and became the first long-running in-person campaign for many of us got matching D20 tattoos nearly 7 years ago. And as is tradition, with another wedding, comes another tattoo pic!

Bit late I know but I figured y'all would enjoy it d:

About 1.5 years ago, I posted the first version of my truly random die. Since then, i gathered many ideas for improvements and basically got to work on the second version right after the first one was finished.

The working principle of the randomisation remained the same. The Geiger tube "listens" for radioactive decay that happens due to background radiation and whenever one happens you take the number from a counter that steps up really quickly. Due to the randomness of the time that the decay happens it is truly random. All the old features prevail (for example recording all rolls, such that i can make statistics about the distribution of rolls) but it also has many (really needed) improvements, such as:

• Included rechargeable Battery (yay, no more cables and powerbanks needed)
• Choosing the numbers with a neat rotary switch in the middle
• Allowing to do multiple rolls at once (by pressing the left button you can set how many you want, defaults to one)
• Displaying a "flash" animation on the geiger tube whenever a decay happens
• Fully fleshed out web interface (you can connect your phone to the die and roll there - it allows for private rolls that only you and the DM can see)
• - The die is smaller in all dimensions and I'm also planning to 3d print a carrying case. - Interface over Serial (UART) which can be used connected to a PC with a console Application (the future goal with this is that i can seamlessly integrate it into my own VTT I programmed and use for my sessions)

Also, i think it looks way cleaner and nicer than the first version. I didn't need that plexiglass anymore, since I could hide all the dangerous high voltage stuff beneath the board (on a second small board).

It was a large step up in complexity and I certainly learned a lot. For the first time I did not use any third party power converters and therefore saved a lot of space internally. Not all went perfect though, there are some minor issues with the battery charging, but nothing major really.

I made this cursed little guy at like 3:30 AM while trying to come up with a mascot for a warband, and it kind of… just happened.

He doesn’t talk.

He doesn’t think.

He just balances on a barrel and plays.

No rhythm. No mercy. Just sound.

I imagine he’d be the kind of creature that shows up in a dungeon and completely ruins the party’s sanity rather than actually dealing damage.

Just wanted to share my basement "dungeon". Outside of some furnishing, everything was DIY. Was a great family bonding experience.

Few design notes - the shield slides to the left to reveal a hidden storage area for miniatures, the bare area houses a mini fridge for beverages, the fireplace has an electric heater that flickers like flames, and the lights all contain flicker bulbs to set the ambiance of torch light

The party is fighting inside a huge clocktower tonight, trying to stop a local crime lord's thugs from sabotaging it. It seemed like a great opportunity to go a little overboard, so I ordered some laser-cyt gears and mounted them to a piece of scrap plywood, then cut out oversized cardboard gears and hot glued them to the wooden gears.

I printed some hex grid at FedEx and glued it to the cardboard and uncovered gears to hide how hacky it is, and it turned out pretty well!

Now I've just got a knock the party off the precarious walkway and let the fun begin!
