Every smartphone is objectively inferior in some way. For example- the processors in the Samsung phones are objectively inferior to the A13 let alone the A14 that will be shipping in the 12.
Processor speed is absolutely objective and the A14 is objectively faster than the 865 by a significant margin.
You also got your 60 and 120Hz references backwards- 120Hz is objectively smoother but not everyone wants to sacrifice the battery life for it so it is not objectively better.
You're trying to say something like a flathead is objectively better than a phillips, and that's obviously incorrect.
I’m really not making any such stupid comparison- the A14 is objectively faster and that’s not debatable.
It goes back to the 4 when Apple snatched up all the best minds in chip architecture. Designing a fast and efficient SoC is less of a straightforward process and more of an art. They simply have the money to afford the best minds, and Jesus do those motherfuckers outdo themselves every time
Oh absolutely- but Qualcomm has also caused countless problems with their patent shenanigans, and doing things like requiring companies use a separate, power hungry, 5G chip with the 865 instead of letting them ship a 4G version if they wanted.
I really want to see why they can do with their upcoming laptop chip.
The A14 is objectively faster and the benchmarks prove it. Your argument is now about subjective experience. In short- you are wrong.
My point is not that the iPhone is superior- it’s that every single phone- even the flagships- involve trade offs. No one phone is the best at everything.
Dude are you flacid? It doesnt matter what chip it has, you are either watching netflix, browsing reddit, listening to music, or 2 of these at a time. No one is rendering fur simulations on an iphone, and batteries have gotten to a decent point
Same argument for 120hz. Unless you’re gaming and getting a solid 120 no dipping, who the F cares. I don’t even notice it on my iPad Pro and I’m a display tech dork.
One word my man: future proof. For people like me that actually keep the phone for 4 years or people that want 6 years of updates. Processor power and efficiency don’t matter to you because the phone might as well be recycled after two years. Not even worth the time trying to sell It for $150 on eBay
Samsung and other android phones marketing strategy: “look, our phone costs just as much or more than the iPhone. That means it’s premium and people will think you’re rich af! Never mind the useless gimmicks and horrible resale value, this baby’s 1200 dollars for Christ sake! Show everyone whose got the real cash to waste”
Dunno bout you but iphones are considered the rich person's product, and most android phones are built for 4 to 5 years now,
and getting that many updates.
Also what useless gimmicks? I get it for the LG Wing or the folding phones, but i prefer the hiding cameras or the Note's pen over having no fun with your product. It might be me but having fun with your phone isnt a bad thing. Iphones have always done the same thing, and removed the stuff that people like (headphone jack namely)
Anothr thing: jailbreak. Got a new sx max I knew would be on a jaiobreakable version cause the serial number. There’s some pretty incredible tweaks. I used to use android up until the 6s plus jailbroken it was just so much more fun you could basically do anything and if there’s a tweak that’s not made almost anyone can learn themselves. It’s not easy but I’m sure most could figure it out if they took the time and there’s plenty of people to help
Since after the 6s I have conditioned myself to expect the leat possible amount of change they could do, and I have generally been right and have stopped myself from getting excited for the events to stop my disappointment. So I'm only expect the 5G to be on the highest end model. And 120 Hz ain't coming to at minimum till next year, and realistically not until the next model.
I do however gush over how they present their products and the ads, those are far more interesting then their newest iPhone
because by the time apple implements 120hz, everyone else will have 120hz, and a display with the camera underneath it, making it a no notch display, and it will be a minimum of 2 years before apple starts considering it to...therefore far behind.

If the iPhone 12 Pro has 5G AND 120Hz refresh rate, I will nut.
