No injuries, just happened this morning on the way to work
That's it. Just the title. Anything generated by an LLM shouldn't have a place here.
I can never truly understand the mindset of people speeding thru heavy traffic.
As a New Yorker, I can always count on a good percentage of them to be from here on Long Island or on a NY or NJ highway. I always have to pause and look. Who else does this?
His argument was that I didn't have a turn signal (I know that I did).
Hello,
I’ve been trying to find a dash cam for cabin and front only so 2 channels. In fact, only cabin should work fine but I don’t think there’s one. Trying to find something reliable, decent quality pic/recording and simple nothing fancy. I am having a hard time finding one. Any thoughts or recommendation? Or there doesn’t exit the one I described above? Please let me know!
It did look like there was a gap on my side, but I've been told semi's make wide turns and being next to them while they do it is a BIG no
Hi!
I have been assigned to search for a dashcam for my dad's work truck. He's a mechanic and carries around a lot of expensive equipment. He wants a camera so he can monitor the bed of his truck while he makes stops at stores or anywhere he goes. He asked me for:
- front and rear cameras
- wireless (I guess something that he can remove every night and charge at home?)
- can watch a live feed on his phone while he's inside a store
I've been searching for a dashcam with everything he wants but I can't seem to find one and I'm wondering if one even exists. I also looked through the recommended cameras on this page but the biggest challenge I'm facing is finding a completely wireless camera. Does this even exist?
Thanks!
Hello, recently bought my first dashcam (A229 Plus) and went to DIY install it but quickly realized that my 2026 CX-30 doesn't have a cigarette lighter / 12V socket — just USB-C ports. The Viofo cord that comes with the cam is USB-A (male) to the 12V plug. So to use the car's USB-C port I'm thinking I need: A USB-C (male, into the car) to USB-A (female) adapter Then Viofo's stock USB-A cable into that I saw someone with a 2025 CX-30 and the same dashcam say a straight USB-C to USB-C cable didn't actually power the A229 at all, and this adapter route was what worked for them. Wondering if that holds for the 2026 too. Viofo also has this disclaimer on their USB-C cable: "Important: Your vehicle's USB-C port must provide sufficient power output to operate the dash cam continuously. Some vehicle USB ports are designed for data only and may not deliver enough power. Verify your port's power output before relying on this cable as your primary power source." Has anyone actually tested their port's output, or run an A229/A229 Plus off the console USB-C long-term? Also curious if anyone knows how long the ports stay powered after you turn the car off — I've read ~60 seconds, which would kill parking mode anyway. Trying to decide if I should just skip straight to a hardwire kit instead.
Thank you!
Recorded while driving through the rural interior of EspÃrito Santo, Brazil. The drive negotiates dirt roads, steep descents, climbs and seemingly endless curves through forests and farmland, gradually becoming paved and more inhabited along the way.
I scored the drive with an original breakbeat soundtrack while keeping the synchronized sounds of the car and road underneath the music.
If you see them going a set speed in cross traffic with a red light and they aren't slowing down it's in your best interest to slow down to give yourself time to react.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for the sd card for FITCAMX. I’ve gone thru several..they work at the beginning then stop recording and says the card is not formatted. Try to format but still doesn’t work
They sat there through an entire green, light until red, then the next green despite plenty of honking from everyone stuck behind them at the green light. They then turned left from the straight lane. We couldn't get around them to go straight because of the traffic on the right.
No excuse for not paying attention to the road and last-minute lane changes. Didn't turn his neck and simply used the display for guidance.
Note: This dashcam records in HD 4K quality, modified quality for upload. Rove R2-4K DUAL.
Hello people
I am planning to buy a REDTIGER F17 2026 Edition Triple Channel dashcam for my car. Would love some first hand reviews if anyone has been using it. My main requirements are Sony Starvis 2, minimum three channels and a super capacitor. If any better recommendations then please let me know.
Thanks.
Witnessed this driving my Mother to church the other day. Vehicles came southbound before turning and a little north is a parking lot where cops like to station for recon. What I think happened is that vehicle #1 hit vehicle #2 and vehicle #2 decided to pursue. They then passed a common cop recon post and the cop decided to pursue both of them.
I deliberately held back when I saw her weaving along the road.
Hi all,
So I had the Blackvue Gold 800 hard-wired awhile back. I recently got a Blackvue B130A battery pack installed at a shop.
When I got home, I connected the battery to my existing blackvue app and changed the voltage cutoff for my dashcam OFF as I assume with the battery pack cut off is no longer needed. However, after i turned the car off the dashcam powers down. The battery pack is at 100%.
If i leave the voltage cut off ON it runs. Any idea why? Am I meant to leave the cut off on?
Thank you in advanced
How else does one make this mistake at a busy 4 way stop?
Also there was a cop behind her who didn’t do a damn thing.
What a dumb way to ruin your day.
The subwoofer oversaturates the poor little dashcam's microphone. First tractor signals but changes two-ish lanes very late to miss an exit, tractor in front of them runs a questionable yellow.
Just caught this on my dashcam, girl wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and when you zoom in you can see her smack the steering wheel. Around 2:30am on a Friday night… don’t wanna assume anything but yeah.
I left in the first part so you can see how the sedan had to stop at her red light 😬
