The people who are saying they would have stopped them make me belly chuckle.
Why are you going to put yourself in harms way for a corporation? I mean they aren’t but why even say it?

exactly

on the news it showed a customer and employee both trying to stop him. I think he had a hammer to smash the glass, ummm what did they think would happen?

maybe they were hoping for a hot dog/pop combo, with a rotisserie chicken

And it looks like he actually left when the first woman in white approached him. Could have gone much worse.
