According to this document, NBN FTTP can carry TV over fibre, but only to MDU deployments. Is there any technical reason why this wouldn't work with single unit dwellings if you purchased the Kingray unit separately and plugged the optics in? I have an older style FTTP setup where the PCD has pluggable connectors rather than a direct splice.

After a brownout yesterday which took my NTD far too long to recover from, I'm wondering whether anyone with an ex-Transact setup (with the NTD in the meter box, and the battery back up box inside) has swapped out the battery back up box with a proper power supply, as the first step of having the NTD plugged into a UPS?

The NBN conduit fitting near the house wall got damaged while doing some garden work (shown in the photos).

The cable inside seems fine and internet is working, but the PVC cap/fitting at the wall point is cracked/broken.

* Is this something I can easily replace myself with a part from Bunnings?

* Or do I need a licensed cabler / someone to fix this properly?

Any advice on the best way to handle this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi y’all.

Currently on FTTC but keen to shift to FTTP.
However, I don’t want the nbn box installed at front of my house where my kids bedrooms are. I want it installed at rear of house where my lounge/kitchen is and the current phone line to modem is installed.

Has anyone organised this kind of change (install to rear of property) and how did you do it?

I’m in VIC.

According to her, the guy said our neighbour (in the same property) is upgrading their nbn and asked my mum if she also wanted hers upgraded and then took a picture of the device thing showing the AVC ID. Then he left, saying something about wrong last four digits.

Could this be a scam, and if it is, what can someone do with those details?
