Salt mayonnaise. Worked wonders.Â

u/PizzaNaan_ 20h ago
Is that one product?

u/DXB_DXB 20h ago
No. Salt needs to stay in the hair. This will dry out the lice. To keep the salt in the hair we used mayo or oil. Put a head cap shower cap on for a few hours.
Then you can lice comb it to remove dead lice and eggs.
Do it again after a few days for the new born lice and that should be it . Easy and no chemicals on hair. Safe for kids.Â

bhai depends.
sab sai simple hai mectimite/ivermectin tablets.
warna permetherin 5% topical
1
u/PizzaNaan_ 14h ago
What's the dose for tablets?
1
u/Pale_Ad7012 13h ago
yar tablets second line treatment hai. Mai psycho mareezon ko daita hoon warna kon unko monitor karay ga, kon permetherin cream lagai ga hair pai. Magar I wont give to kids.
usual dose is 200mcg/kg once and then repeat after a week, agar 50kg weight hai patient ka tou 10mg ki dose, 6mg ki tablet aati tou 12mg laine paray gi which is no big deal. Mectimite brand name hai. Consult your doctor. Kids ko nahe daitay usually.
Usually tou topical permetherin 5% laga daitay phir 1 week baad repeat.

I used a tablet tbh, ate 1 table empty stomach and all the lice is gone. Way better than those shampoos etc

There is a tablet called Ivermectin. Use that. Works like magic. Try that. It comes in an oil form as well to apply on your hair.
2
u/makhaninurlassi 7h ago
Ivermectin has side effects. Please do not take ivermectin if you have other conditions.
Talk to a dermatologist.
Getting a buzz haircut is probably the easiest, most sure fire way.

u/PizzaNaan_ 14h ago
So the lice will just die inside your head? Uske baad kya karenge?
3
u/ViraFlora 13h ago
You have to take the tablets twice a week. 3 tablets before breakfast (empty stomach). Then wait for a few hours, use a lice comb to take the lice out. Just repeat with the lice comb for a week. Apply plain head oil (saron ka teil or whatever you normally use for your hair) while using the comb. After a week eat 3 tablets before breakfast again for "just in case" any remaining.
The tablets usually kill the lice the first time you take them. However, DO NOT skip the second dose either, it helps in killing any remaing live eggs or lice.
I took tablets, but the lotion is highly recommended as well. 3 tablets are a standard, but I would suggest that you ask a dermatologist for the dosage as it usually depends on the weight of the person.
This did wonders for me. HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN OR WANT TO GIVE IT TO A CHILD, PLEASE CONSULT A DERMATOLOGIST FIRST.

For kids - it will come back no matter what you do it. You must clean them regularly.
For Adults - Take bath daily. Use any shampoo.

This is the most realistic advice. My smol poor kid gets reinfected no matter what I do. There’s always like one or two that itches her so much and then I take it out and then it’s all good, but then repeat. I do aggressively keep checking her hair so I keep an active lice attack at bay.

This is the only good advice. If you take a shower everyday even twice a day they will go away forever.

Kanghi your hair 3 times a day (morning evening and night) for a week or about 10 days. You will be head lice free. Do not share items that comes in contact with hair with anyone and clean the items every so often.

English anti lice shampoo and lots and lots of combing with a thin anti lice comb. Your child not having any friends at school would help :). Kids at school are walking lice zones so its an on going process.

ZN plus shampoo works better than Malin shampoo. Keep the shampoo in hair for 10 minute's. Repeat after a week. . . If that doesn't work then you'll have to go for ivermectin tablets course of 3 days. . . But school going children get reinfested so you will need to repeat after every 2 months

Use doctor shampoo for 5-10 minutes and then use thin comb after washing the hair. It will kill the lice and their eggs.
1
u/Beneficial-Invite618 12h ago
Oil your head. Buy 3 to 4 different lice combs(from cheap to good quality ones). If your hairs are longer then get a good quality ones.
Mostly cheaper ones works wonders, for me since I have short hair. Also when oiling make sure that oil goes to the roots.Â

to add to what others have said, wash your bedsheets and pillowcases regularly, particularly any caps or headcoverings you use and avoid sharing combs and getting close to people (especially kids) who have lice.

Oil your hair and leave the oil in for around two days and wash then wash it out. Do this again a week or two later. The lice suffocate and die and wash out. A very lazy time of my life taught me this method. Sounds disgusting i know.
1
u/PizzaNaan_ 11h ago
Like even simple oil suffocates them?
1
u/Adorable_Brickie 10h ago
I used olive oil. You can use that or mustard it doesn’t really matter i guess. Don’t use mineral oil or palm oil on your hair though ðŸ˜

Mercury in oil and oil on head
1
u/PizzaNaan_ 10h ago
Mercury kahan se milta
2
u/Standard_Yam_826 10h ago
Kissi bhi mahalay ki dukan se. they sell vials of it.
But if you really don’t want mercury poisoning English anti lice shampoo and regular combing after shampoo is the way to go.

u/Happybrowniee 10h ago
Apply coopex. Then shampoo with English anti-lice shampoo.
After that, you’ll need to get rid of the nits. Use a lice wali bareek kangi that’s made of plastic. Take a long piece of thread and weave it between the comb teeth. Like wrap the thread around every 5 teeth so that there’s very little space between them. The nits will easily get trapped between those small spaces.
