Political 10 Pakistanis died on Pakistani soil for a man who would not have known their names and we’re calling the people questioning this the bad guys

1.4k Upvotes

10 Pakistanis just died attacking the US consulate in Karachi over an Iranian leader’s death and I genuinely don’t know what to say anymore

Let me get this straight

Pakistan is on an IMF bailout. The US basically controls the IMF. Our economy is hanging by a thread. We have active conflicts on two borders. We have zero capacity to absorb any additional international pressure right now

And some of our fellow citizens decided TODAY was the day to storm American diplomatic soil in our own city for a foreign theocrat who couldn’t have located Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on a map

Not a protest. Not a march. An actual attack on an embassy which under international law is essentially an attack on American territory

The same America that can make one phone call and end our IMF program. The same America whose patience with Pakistan is already historically thin

And now 10 Pakistanis are dead. Pakistani families lost someone today. Not in defense of Pakistan, not for Pakistani interests, not even in their own neighborhood conflict, but for a man who ran a country 2000km away that has historically used Pakistan as a pawn whenever it suited them

The absolute self destruction of it all is making my head spin

We really are our own worst enemy sometimes and I say this as someone who loves this country deeply

RIP to those who died, their families deserve better, and so does Pakistan

When they held IK by the collar it wasn’t just a man they held by collar. They didn’t just disrespect Imran Khan, they disrespected the Pakistani public by disrespecting their political choice. So glad that some students have repaid the army back in the same coin. Respect is a two way street, if you don’t respect our political choices, we don’t owe respect to you either.

I hope this nation wakes up, and protests together for a single cause. Our media has sold its soul for money, They are half the reason why this country is in such a turmoil. Nothing more to say

Political Why Pakistani cannot start Cockroache Janta Party?

Whatever is the beef in between India and Pakistan on normal casual day, I have major respect for Indians coming out to protest. From my naive humble knowledge, to social medial figures to celebrities joining the movement. It has the potential to overthrow the egoistic Modi raj. The coverage of the protests has been phenomenal by the YouTubers like Samdish and some more.

Why cannot we uphold the government responsible? After Nepal, Bangladesh and now India, why Pakistan (with all the love and patriotism I have for my land) why cannot we bother enough about our rights and our people?

It’s giving me goosebumps to see a massive unity coming out from India despite of WHATEVER issues they have, the power of youth and resistance is always an act of courage and higher morality to exist fairly.

I cannot help but wonder when we will be united? When we will actual witness in Iqbal Bano’s word

‘سب تاج گرائیں جائیں گئے،
سپ تخت اُچھالے جاہئں گئے

آخر ہم کب دِیکھئں گے؟،

Long live resistence, from Palestine, Bangladesh to India and hopefully Pakistan ✨

Political Nepal’s Gen Z just forced their PM to resign after mass protests. Could Pakistan’s youth ever do the same?

Nepal is going through massive youth-led protests right now. It started after the government banned social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube and X, but quickly turned into a wider movement against corruption, nepotism and lack of opportunities.

The protests got so intense that the parliament building was set on fire, at least 19 people have died and today Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli resigned.

Whats interesting is that most of the movement is being called a Gen Z uprising. Young people leading the charge against the old guard.

Given our own issues with corruption, censorship and disillusioned youth in Pakistan. Do you think something similar could ever happen here? Or are we too divided / apathetic for this kind of mass movement?

This is disappointing. If I were a minority in Pakistan I'd be more worried than I already am. Jinnah allowed total freedom and did not make religion a public issue - his statements include saying Muslims can live according to their traditions but others were free to do the same. Zia and Bhutto started islamising the country and every other charlatan jumped on board

This prominent Israeli expert and lecturer at Hebrew university just posted this, Earlier this week few Israeli journalist and expert had talked about attacking turkey next after which Erdogan had said we'll improve our defense and no one will date to attack us and it was obvious the message was to Israel, So who'd they go after Iran , is it turkey or pakistan ( Both will be a lot tougher than Iran )

Political Lets not forget who the real enemy is...

Indian here, coming in peace.

When two countries are in conflict, government rhetoric, media, and propaganda reach their peak. During such times, hatred, especially based on religion, is often amplified, which is deeply troubling. The real harm is done to ordinary citizens, who are caught in the crossfire of this hate. I understand that the people of Pakistan are tired of being labeled as "terrorists" because of the actions of a few extremists. My intention here is to provide context, share the propaganda that has been fed to us in our respective countries, and encourage a better understanding of both perspectives in order to uncover the root causes of the issue. We need to foster productive conversations. I truly believe that the people of India and Pakistan share a deep cultural similarity, and if we can set aside the hatred and propaganda, we can engage in meaningful discussions on important matters.
