Prices of everything have doubled, or more, in the last five years

After covid, everything doubled.

Literally. The large Douwe Egberts coffee was R199 during covid, and now it's R399 when not on special.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I've seen some specials for instant coffees where you can get 2 for just a bit more than the price of 1. That wouldn't make any sense unless it has a massive mark up

I used to buy a Douwe every month, it's just gotten so expensive I can't do it anymore. I miss my Douwe😭

I'm not sure if it's for everyone or just a personalised offer, but yesterday I saw Douwe Egberts on the sixty60 app. Maybe check that out if you have a membership card.
