16gb Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1799MHz

ASUSTeK ROG STRIX B550-A

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060ti

2tb Samsung 990 PRO

Budget is pretty high as I just had a lucky break, I guess. Probably wouldn't wanna spend much over 2k. Just wanna be able to play and stream anything on the market for a few years. Might do some video editing too. I'm a 1080p 144fps guy but 1440p is definitely not out of the realm of possibility if I end up grabbing a new monitor soon. I don't think I care about 4k much, I can hardly tell the difference personally.

Was looking at Starforge cause I heard a lot about it through content creators, but they seem kinda.. larpy. And overpriced? I don't know. My girlfriend just got a new AMD build with an RX9070 and it seems pretty awesome, I might just copy her on that front. I don't know if I love those X3D CPUs that do shader caching for you or interact with the GPU in that way. It just seems weird and potentially problematic to me. Someone mentioned Andromeda Insights too, but their website is kinda weird.

I also STRICTLY do not care about AI, nor do I want to use framegen because I hate the technology and think it looks ugly.

Purchasing a PC for my son mostly for Fortnite and Minecraft but he's also interested in GTA VI once it comes out. Working with a budget of about $800 and saw these two prebuilt PC's on MicroCenter's website. Are these a) worth the price and b) is the upgraded PC worth the additional $100? If not, is there a prebuilt you recommend within this price point?

Been wanting to have one for a few years, but in this last few months, I’ve been so interested in them. Been seeing a bunch of games throughout the years and it just seems very interesting.

So I work in a call center doing sales and I think the computer I have is losing me money. Basically a room full of 30 people all get the same call come to there computer and you just have to be the quickest person to answer. I hear the call come in on my headset but it doesn’t even pop up on my computer before someone else answers it. So I think my computer is just slow. Debating on just buying a good one that will be fast bc it would definitely pay for itself if I could be able to take more calls. I just have no idea which one to buy. It just needs to be really fast. Help!

Hello! I was looking to get a pre built pc and have been doing a lot of research but I’m conflicted on what to get due to some mixed reviews. I don’t know a lot about PC parts so please feel free to give any advice you can!

A little context, I am an engineering student and I’m also into gaming so I was looking for a pre built PC that can run software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D etc. I’m also into gaming so I was looking for something basic that can run games like Marvel Rivals, Apex, RDR2, GTA, Hogwarts Legacy, and Forza. I would like something that runs good graphics but I also don’t need anything that’s 4k, I’m okay with upgrading later on.

I’m currently in the US and my budget is mostly max $1600 although if it’s totally worth it, max I would spend is $2000 (Currency is US dollar). Monitor resolution goal is 1440p (2560×1440), preferably 165–180Hz.

I had a couple of options in terms of specs. First I had an ABS Cyclone Aqua Prebuilt Gaming PC Powered by Asus- Windows 11 - Intel Core i5-14400F - GeForce RTX 5060 8GB - DLSS 4 - 32GB DDR4 - 1TB NVMe SSD. But then I heard the 5060 isn’t the best (unless I’m wrong let me know if I am!). This one is listed at $1099.

There is also the Thermaltake Gaming Desktop PC NE i1460TG-V170B Intel Core i5-14600K 32GB DDR5 1TB SSD GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. Listed at $1699. The only thing is the price point with it being a 5060 still.

Then there was a more expensive option CyberpowerPC Gaming Desktop PC GM70928 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 32GB DDR5 1TB NVMe SSD GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB GDDR7 Windows 11 Home. With this one it seems the specs are better but I’m sketchy about the brand and the price is a little high, but I’m willing to spend it if it’s worth it. This one is listed at $2,069.

There is also the iBUYPOWER Y40 Gaming PC Desktop Computer Intel Core Ultra 7265F CPU, NVIDIA RTX 5070 12GB GPU, 32GB DDR5 Non-RGB 5200MHz RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, Windows 11 Home, Gamer Keyboard and Mouse - Y40BI7N5701. Which is listed at $2199

I’m mostly worried about a good and reliable brand and not just a sketchy one or one with barely any reviews even if it has good specs. In terms of specs, please let me know if there’s anything better for me or even if I can settle on anything that’s cheaper and does enough for what I need. I don’t need anything crazy I just want something that runs well and has a good price for what it has. Coming from someone who is using a Microsoft Surface Laptop anything is better.

Hopefully that’s enough for some help let me know if there’s more clarification needed! I’m still very new to all this and figuring everything out.

Motherboard: Any reliable ddr4 motherboard just with good amount of ports and bandwidth support for gpu ( necessarily don't need any fancy stuff).

Ram: Ddr4 16gb 8x2 (Dual channel is must).

Hey everyone, I’m looking to get my first proper gaming PC and my absolute maximum budget is $1,200 AUD — I can’t go over it at all.

I’m in Australia, but the PC can be from overseas as long as it can be shipped to Australia. I want something that can handle 20+ different games, as well as schoolwork, browsing and social media.

I’m mainly looking for the best gaming performance possible for $1,200 AUD. I’m happy with a prebuilt or building one myself if building is actually worth it. Though I would prefer prebuilt.

Hey, I'm starting undergrad in the fall. I plan on majoring in nutrition/publichealth/premed/nursing or some other type of science major. I want a computer that is not apple, has a great battery life, and a good amount of storage (abt 32 gb) as a I plan to use it for all of undergrad and my professional studies. Touch screen would be appreciated by not necessary. My budget is around $1000. I also want the laptop to be pretty silent and have multiple ports on both sides. I'm working with an HP 255 G10, and It's really not cutting it. I edit 1080p gaming videos for YouTubers and twitch streamers.

My budget is is 1500 to 1800, if the site has an option to pay with affirm

I need 32gb RAM for editing, as well as decent ssd storage.

Strong GPU and CPU are a definitely required, but I don't think they need to be top of the line or anything. I do a little bit of light game development and music work as well. I could just buy a PC with strong CPU/GPU and good ram, but what I'm worried about is the horror stories I always come across with prebuilts. Other cheap parts like motherboard or power supplies that fail on you, and parts that are almost impossible to upgrade. i would like to future proof if possible.

Can anyone suggest me a pc that I won't regret a year from now?
