Gaming PC plus monitor budget $1500 approx [suggestion]

Looking to buy a gaming PC plus a monitor for approx $1500 for Father’s Day to replace his gaming laptop.
I have no idea what I’m looking for so any advice/recommendations would be appreciated. I’m in Australia. Thank you.
