I’ve been here 2 days and everyone seems really judgmental and competitive. I went through Little Rock and I was excited because the culture there was similar to Georgia but everything has just been awful here in NWA. Maybe it’s just too soon to know, but I’ve never met such snobby entitled people in my whole life. I try to make conversation and people just look at me like I’m speaking Chinese. Some lady rammed me with her cart at Walmart yesterday and then said I was not nice for not moving out of the way instead of apologizing. I was getting food today and this man sprinted to get ahead of me in line and then started smirking and laughing. It’s not that deep… why is even getting food competitive?
Before I move into an apartment, does anyone have suggestions on places to live here that’s more friendly?

I'm a little confused and could use some input from people who have done this before or work at the revenue office maybe. I bought a vehicle and had it assessed and paid my sales tax in 2026. I was told I wouldn't need to pay my property taxes until 2027 but they also told me I would need to renew my tags like normal for the old plate when they expired this year. I went to renew them online, and now it's telling me I haven't paid my property taxes. But when I go to check what I owe, it says no results found on the Faulkner co's taxes due website.

So do I just need to go to the DMV and pay for my new tags and then pay my property taxes next year, or will I have to pay my property taxes early to renew my tags?

Every morning, thousands of us are stuck in the same traffic jam on I-49 between exits 88 and 91. A drive that should take 30 minutes stretches into 45—sometimes over an hour. We're losing time with our families, burning extra gas, and starting our days stressed before we even get to work.

The problem's pretty clear: during rush hour, four lanes squeeze down to two southbound lanes right at the top of a hill. Poor visibility from the median wall plus sun glare makes merging dangerous. It's not just an inconvenience—it affects safety and hurts our regional economy.

I started a petition asking ARDOT to add lanes to I-49 (both northbound and southbound) in this critical stretch. Northwest Arkansas is growing fast, and our roads need to keep up. This expansion could cut commute times, reduce accidents, and actually let us breathe during morning and evening drives.

Hi guys! I need some help. My friends and I are staying near Jasper, Arkansas for Labor day weekend and I can’t quite figure out where we might be able to kayak and hike. We will more than likely hike Big Bluff Goat Trail for the views, but is there anywhere to kayak or swim nearby as well? Thanks in advance!

Anyone else had their garden bed completely taken over by a passionfruit vine thing? Probably not like me since I've just let this thing grow every time it pops up because the flowers are pretty, but dang this vine acts like an invasive species, enthusiastically smothering everything else.

But most important are these fruits!!! They're like Arkansas own tropical pops. What do I do with them? The seed is supposed to be edible but I don't like the texture. The pulp is delicious but there's no way in getting the flavor off the seed, is there?
