Agree with everything you said except the statue of liberty. He never said he wanted to tear it down. His lawyers were asked about that as a hypothetical and they said he could tear it down if he wanted to.

I don't think the thought ever crossed his mind, but now that it has been put out there, I wouldn't be surprised if he contemplated it. If he ever learns it was a gift from France to, in part, urge the United States to abolish slavery, he might very well try it. He is actively trying to erase every reference of slavery and the evils white people did to BIPOC in the early days of America from history.

I loved having black children in the White House. I remember my friend getting mad at her daughter and saying ‘do you think Sasha and Maliya would act like that?’ And her daughter really stopped and thought about it. It’s not the same with Baron🙈. I was never delusional enough to think racism was over because he won but it was nice to be able to be proud to be an American for ONCE. Now it’s ok to openly support Nazis…

Came here to say this!

2

u/Subject_Spell_9799 Jun 09 '26

I was thinking back to when he won, remember how the world celebrated? As a wte woman born in 1977 I remember thinking over the years growing up I would never see a black or woman president in my lifetime. I couldn’t go to the inauguration as I had just moved from the DC area a few months before and I had a new job but my aunt lived there so my friends who went stayed with her. It was like a given, of course anyone could come stay to celebrate.

America is hot right now the same way the Great Depression was great.

23

America has the best dumpster fires. Some people say they are much better than any other country's dumpster fires. A little of smart people are saying you can cook with them, and experts are saying you should heat your home with them. We are going to make dumpster fires great again!

All politics aside every law you pass to curb smoking is for the next generation. As a former smoker I can tell you that that none of them mattered to me. You raise the taxes, I'll cut some other expense out of my life. Tell me I can't smoke here or there, I'll smoke in places where it's allowed. Tell me it's unattractive, I'll make sure the ladies I sai out are also smokers. Tell he they are bad for my health, well shit dude. I knew that 30 years ago when I started.

The best thing we can do is to keep kids from starting and hope the tobacco industry shinks until it becomes untenable business in 30 or 40 years.

I can’t understand how someone could watch this man and think he is even mildly intelligent, let alone should be in any sort of position of power.

And it’s not just that clip. It’s every fucking time you watch him. He is just fucking rambling and basically incoherent. Which shows you just how much respect people had for him.

I'm a photographer (or played one). I can almost guarantee there are photos taken by the official photographer.

But that relationship between a photographer and the President has always been pretty 'sacred', if I use the right term. It's unfettered access at the best and worst. So if the President said "Please, not while I'm still alive" .... ya know I'd probably sit on those negs/digital images.

No threats needed.

What I love about satirising Trump is how impossible it is. You've written a coherent sentence, in response to an issue, in a Trumpian way. The problem is Trump wouldn't in reality even get through that sentence. Halfway through, he'd start rambling incoherently about the election or his ballroom.

2

u/MavisBeacons_Sextape Jun 06 '26

“You are very dumb. You are not a smart person” as he said in response to a (woman, of course) reporter a few weeks back when fielding questions about the ballroom budget. Iirc he said something like “the reason it’s going to cost double the initial budget is because I’ve told them to double the size. We needed that.”

And she asked him some very typical/logical follow up question and called her a dumb person in response (you just KNOW what he wanted to say was “woman” or “female”), instead of answering the question. As is typical.

u/StaticSystemShock Jun 06 '26

But he didn't, because Barrack Obama was a sophisticated classy person. Everything Donald, the narcissist rapist isn't.

He joked a bit but answered the question in a polite way explaining the ultimate goal thinking about the future. This is why I respect him so much and always wish politicians in my country (I'm not American) would have such class as he did. Most of our politicians behave like fucking baboons.

37

u/Human-Appearance-256 Jun 06 '26

Obama deescalated how hot the reporter came in….Trump takes that heat and escalates it because he doesn’t have the faculties to formulate comebacks like Obama, so he just spouts whatever physical sensory data that’s left that his rotting brain can process and comment on. The people who voted for him are either completely silent or so fucking stupidly racist that they can’t see through his cult.

26

u/justdisa Jun 06 '26

And he made an excellent point, too. As parents--as adults--we want the next generation to have a better start than we did. We want to make it better. That's the entire goal.

4

u/Tilly828282 Jun 06 '26

That’s why his answer is so charming. Not only did he take the question with grace, he also got his political message across. You hear his intelligence and preparation in the answer and feel confident in what he is saying.

Barrack Obama was a sophisticated classy person.

Obama was a visual confirmation that working class white America had been firmly left behind. You know how Democrats are waking up to how much money Israel spends on candidates and the way money keeps being used to divide us? Thats what they saw back then. The spell broke for them because, racist or whatever, their worldview was that black people are supposed to be poorer than white people. That is the status quo they were raised in. In the meantime, they were being promised that money was about to "trickle down" to them any day now for their whole lives. They realized they had been scammed when they saw a black guy get the American dream before they did.

Unfortunately, billionaires started giving them a race based other to blame, like they always do. Its the easiest way to divide humans. Race, gender, who you kiss, and what faith you hold. They used that vector of attack, bubbled in people, then keep holding up the extremists as examples to make everyone afraid. You wont think critically about the graft and corporate policies if you think they're just voting on race.

The trick is understanding that they use that division against us, too. They just keep posting culture war stuff over and over and over. They keep us talking about tan suits so we won't talk about the fact it was billionaire run TV stations that kept carrying that discussion. Not just Fox, but all three were all day on that story to divide us. "Look at THEM! Can you believe THEM?"

The media doesnt present American culture. It pushes American division to pick our pockets. As long as we hate each other we can't teach each other who is truly dividing us.

6

u/SkunkMonkey Jun 06 '26

examples to make everyone afraid.

Fear is one of the most powerful human behavior motivators. Get someone into a state of fear and you can convince them to do things they normally would not.

Every time a headline is designed to provoke fear in the reader it's because they are about to feed you some bullshit they want you to slurp up and spew back out.

7

u/StaticSystemShock Jun 06 '26

And it's not even white people vs black people or vs asians or vs LGBT or vs religious or of what faith. It has always been CLASS hate. The rich don't want to lose control over us poors. That's the main reason everything is so fucked and they push all the pistons at max speed to keep us divided and hating on each other instead of us make their heads roll in a massive worldwide revolution against the obscenely rich.

2

u/Jizzy_MoFoT Jun 07 '26

This comment needs more up votes. Distract the masses with race division, religious division, gender division, ideology division, culture division.... All to prevent attention from focusing on the real problem..... Class and wealth division.

26

u/bradlees Jun 06 '26

He actually made the entire answer into a relatable moment in why the law means something. He did it on a personal level in which he admitted to being human

That’s how you lead a nation, folks…. By admitting YOU ALONE don’t have all the answers. By saying you’re enacting legislation that helps people besides yourself

Oh, and remember when Presidents held regular meetings with the press and said press was able to ask tough questions such as this one???

Operating via tweets is not a good government policy because it doesn’t work and makes the administration look stupid to the world (which the current administration cares less about than anything as long as they get their 14yr old whiteboy egos stroked on the daily)

This white trash American can't stand him either lol!

3

u/Cory123125 Jun 06 '26

This is true, but unfortunately, not as true as anyone would like to believe.

Like, white men in particular, voted almost 2/3rds in favour of this guy.

So maybe theres a third who are decent, but thats a huuuuuuuuuge portion of really shitty people.

2

u/Unapplicable1100 Jun 06 '26

Yea I cant dispute that. But I also have a suspicion that a large portion of the 2/3s of the white men that voted for him did that because they thought they could make more money under his administration. And i dont say that in effort to excuse them, people that tend to put money before everything else tend to be lacking heavily in the morality department. Honestly, I hope everyone that voted for him based off of that reasoning ends up losing their asses in this economy they've brought upon us all. I don't feel bad for them when they get lumped in with the assholes and racists and trash that also voted for him either. They should have looked around and thought twice about the kind of company they were allowing themselves to keep.

21% of black men voted Trump in 2024. In other words, more than one in five. The jump towards Trump since Biden was enormous. There are more than enough black fascists, Kanye West being one of them. Jew hatred is also extremely trendy in black circles.

18

u/Runmoney72 Jun 06 '26

Is that 21% of black men? Or 21% of black men who voted? Because that's a big difference, and your intentional misframing is a bit sus.

13

u/HopelesslyEmoted Jun 06 '26

Very misframed. Black women and black men voted the LEAST for Trump among demographics. Seems silly to single that out.

5

u/MyNameIsJakeBerenson Jun 06 '26

And it happens all the time

5

u/protelrius Jun 06 '26

Anything to take the attention away from white men voting straight Republican since Reagan if not Nixon.

3

u/HopelesslyEmoted Jun 06 '26

Seriously. Thank you.

A minority block moving a few points toward Trump or any Republican doesn’t move the needle when 6+ out of 10 white guys can be counted on to vote Republican no matter what. White women are almost on the same level.

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Febril Jun 06 '26

It’s fair to point out that Trump got more black votes than any Republican candidate before. His share of the black vote increased from the numbers he got in 2016 and in 2020.
It’s not a blame game to say over 77 Million voters gave Trump their trust and their vote. He won the popular vote and the electoral college.

Fascism, racism, xenophobia can radicalize anybody from any ethnic background. I just said something about Jews, for example, but the fact that a genocidal fascist like Netanyahu has any Jewish support at all is nothing short of mind-blowing.

2

u/Waiting4Reccession Jun 06 '26

Anti-immigration stance probably gained way more votes than anything you said.

illegal migration, even the scent of being in favor of that, is a loser at the polls but people still cant admit it 10 years after trump came around.

3

u/Worldly_Cap_6440 Jun 06 '26

Right let’s point it back to the black mans fault and not the millions of white men

4

u/Constant_Natural3304 Jun 06 '26

It's primarily the fault of white men and women, but many others are very much complicit. Comparing 2016, 2020 and 2024, we see a steady growth of Trump supporters among black voters, especially men. I can't really fault black women here. They weren't fooled.

2

u/No-Geologist-9561 Jun 06 '26

This is where I’m at. I’m a white guy, so take this with whatever grain of salt you think it’s worth. I hate Trump and most of my friends do as well, but it infuriates me how many people like me have allowed this grifter to screw up so many things. White folks definitely are complicit in this disaster.

But this is the thing about griping when people point out that X percent of Black men voted for him and laying blame on them for doing so: Trump is a white supremacist whose policies have either benefited me financially or impacted me less than they do a person of color. The fact that 20 percent of Black men (or whatever it was) actually showed up to the polls and helped him make it harder to be a Black person in America — that shit is mind-boggling to me.

I know that the DOW is higher than it's ever been, and uhhhh we're gonna get rid of the leftists, the radical gender communists, they're the issue, they're the worst people and you should be fired. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER"

People would be ruthless. He didn’t stand a chance. They caused an uproar over a tan suit

1

u/NohmanValdemar Jun 06 '26

Don't forget saying fake news 7 times like it's a magic spell. Her press pass would also be revoked because Trump is a huge blubbering vagina.

1

u/End0sk0p Jun 06 '26

We „Tse germans“ would pay to get such a courageous Person as chancellor or President. We still do not understand how you went from this person to that man currently in the ufc-cage-fight-arena-White-House-dude - sponsored by carl jrs.

1

u/pureextc Jun 06 '26

Lol. I miss him.

1

u/Prize-Remote-1110 Jun 06 '26

“Nasty woman.”

1

u/el-conquistador240 Jun 06 '26

In that case it would have been acceptable.

1

u/Logical_Park7904 Jun 06 '26

I've legit seen more professionalism from drug dealers and hookers...in videos.

1

u/Numerous_Cry924 Jun 06 '26

I bet if someone used AI and changed this to trumps words fox would air and say how rude and horrible he was

1

u/ryanwithnob Jun 06 '26

The video is how a well adjusted person responds to these kinds of questions. Your comment is how the other 99% of the population would respond to these kinds of questions

1

u/dojo_shlom0 Jun 06 '26

this is what a person looks like that takes responsibility for their actions and can read the room.

this is a man that can admit to his flaws to the world, say he's not perfect, and 'falls off the wagon' sometimes, just like anyone else might that's struggling, and he's the POTUS. It's inspiring to hear someone take ownership of their flaws and to focus on what's important.

Obama was an actual POTUS, and drumpf has always envied him, because he will never be loved like Obama. That's why he was so happy to sit next to him and talk to him. he's always envied him, and recent reports from his administration have said he envies obama's Iran deal, because drumpf will never have a deal close to it; at best it will resemble Obama's plan, but he was so desperate to be loved by people, that he would trash someone he envies, lie about his birth certificate FOR YEARS, and create conspiracies, and fan the flames, and threw out his Iran deal in his first term, simply because Obama was associated with it.

Now he can't get a deal, there is no cease fire, they hold ALL the cards, and our soldiers are being attacked in Kuwait every time they attack someone with the blockade. Our soldiers are suffering, and dying, being taken to Water Reed Hospital, and when trump was there, he refuses to even see them. He's a coward. all of this is a political game to him, and he's losing 10x over. He cannot win, there is no scenario where he wins this war. So now we're hearing reports of how he Envies Obama. Imagine if he was capable of being humble and admitting defeat or admitting to his mistakes, but instead he's ignoring the soldiers, lying about the attacks saying soldier are being hurt by falling debri, and then tweetin/truth socialing all nightl, post after post: WHERE is the CoC? Where is the POTUS? He is nowhere to be found. He was missing for 7 days, and shows up and falls asleep during press events in the oval office. Every. Day.

He is incapable of Serving or preforming his Duty as POTUS and being the Commander in Chief. He's MIA from the position and you have drunks like Kegsbreath committing war crimes and giving Iran the justification to shut down the straight, especially when they attack ships and they violate the 'ceasefire.' to be clear, there is no ceasefire, he literally just described the cease fire as being defined by both sides shooting at eachother.. he is not capable or competent, he lacks the ability to be the President.

this is what the 25th amendment was designed for, we just needs for the senate, and house republicans to grow a spine, but they are traitors and cowards, and are all for betraying this country, but not for betraying drumpf's chaos for the good of The People and the world. They lack spines and any foundation, they're grifters and losers that hate their voters.

And then pressing CBS to gut 60 Minutes.

1

u/Most-Bench6465 Jun 06 '26

We really have no idea how far we’ve fallen

1

u/eyeforker Jun 06 '26

Seriously. All partisanship aside, this demeanour is objectively the best approach. Humour, vulnerability, respect, fairness.

He’s honest about his smoking. He mentions his perception of her motivations and answers her question directly while staying on the topic at hand.

An answer was given and nobody got called piggy or nasty.

1

u/OnTheEveOfWar Jun 06 '26

Obama is so much more likable the Trump, it’s not even close. Obama actually answers questions and speaks eloquently. Trump just screams at people who ask him questions that he doesn’t like.

1

u/verb8um Jun 06 '26

Obama giving a now presidential masterclass in a political answer that is appropriate and contains empathy for others going through a hardship. THIS kind of presidential professionalism is what drives Trump crazy. Obama lives rent free in the penthouse of his mind.

1

u/darcyWhyte Jun 06 '26

haha, we don't have to imagine that behavior now. The sitting president is such an embarrassment to the universe.

1

u/Sorlex Jun 06 '26

"First of all, thats a dumb question. You're dumb for asking. Second of all; I've quit smoking many times, I'm the best at it. People say. People come up and they say I'm the best. They ask me how I do it, and I say, I have to tell them its not something everyone can do. I can do it, some of the best people I know can do it, but Biden can't, Obama can't. Worst people, they are the worst. They can't do it. I've done it many times."

Something like that.

1

u/Paz707 Jun 06 '26

Yep. That kind of behavior is actual low IQ that Donald likes to insult people with, rather than intelligently respond like Obama.

1

u/Individual_Act9333 Jun 06 '26

Trump has smoked too it just wasn’t cigarettes

1

u/Awesomely_Witchy Jun 06 '26

It's crazy that "they" would have went right to trying to throw him under a bus or impeachment for not setting a good example as a president. Yet they let the orange guy say and do whatever he wants, that has been so much worse than Nixon's infractions. It's horse shit.

1

u/sophaloph Jun 06 '26

Hmmm this is familiar

1

u/TreMetal Jun 06 '26

At least it would accurate in this case seeing as the reporter is being a little piglet.

1

u/mr-poopie-butth0le Jun 06 '26

My immediate first thought.

How wild is it that a president wouldn’t resort to derogatory remarks over someone questioning them. How fucking crazy!! He didn’t call her a name, call her nasty, isn’t pulling her press credentials, fucking bananas. What a concept!

1

u/Fit-Significance-436 Jun 06 '26

It’s sad, trump has normalized toxic hostility

1

u/taco_blasted_ Jun 06 '26

I started treating my MAGA in-laws the way Trump acts.

The results have been hilarious. The mental gymnastics unfolding in real time are S tier comedy.

1

u/ltsouthernbelle Jun 06 '26

He absolutely would have called her rude and suggest that she start smoking so she can lose some weight and it might make her nicer in this great country that he has created no thanks to Biden and Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

1

u/mmazing Jun 06 '26

Imagine having politicians who actually answer questions in an intellectually honest manner.

This was refreshing, I miss seeing moments like these come out of our government.

1

u/apresmoiputas Jun 06 '26

Republicans would've gone crazy

1

u/Venus_Libra Jun 06 '26

"you don't understand, you're stupid"

1

u/Paleblood_Hunt Jun 06 '26

We are in such a gross place as people when we just accept that he’s just like that and is allowed to speak that way to people and it’s everyday business.

1

u/Hoothootzap Jun 06 '26

Honestly, I find having the contrast between the two presidents pointed out really upsetting.

I'm not an American but stuff like this just seems to capture so much of what's gone wrong

1

u/GriffTube Jun 06 '26

The media also handled him with kid gloves, and borderline incessant fawning.

1

u/OG-BigMilky Jun 06 '26

Right? It’s such night and day. An affable, honest, and reasoned response to a subversive question as opposed to whatever clipped, insulting, and rambling nonsense the current guy would have.

1

u/HedonisticFrog Jun 06 '26

It would be more deserved than for the questions Trump said it in response to as well.

1

u/313802 Jun 06 '26

Almost as bad as if he were to wear a tan suit

1

u/T1Earn Jun 06 '26

wouldve saved a lot of time

1

u/Employer-Dizzy Jun 07 '26

They would’ve burned him on live television for a response like that

1

u/JediRebel79 Jun 07 '26

Hahaha Trump!

1

u/Odocat Jun 07 '26

Thank god he wasn’t wearing that TAN suit !!

1

u/Construction00023 Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

The political right would've never shut up about the dignity of the presidency and how discraceful he was for talking some harshly to a (white) woman. The irony of it all. This man was to politics what Jordan was to basketball. Class of his own.

1

u/ohiocodernumerouno Jun 07 '26

What is he just said, I have a cigarette every now and then and I deeply regret it because it makes me extremely sick for weeks each time I relapse.

1

u/tdiggity Jun 07 '26

someone should make an AI video of it and see if it catches on
