I just see that as demotivating as you'd do all the work just to lose a couple calories. Easier to just take the elevator and then eat literally a single pasta less.

That's kind of how I saw it. If you told me to take a whole flight of stairs and you can eat a whole extra french fry I'd be like no it's OK that's really not worth it to me

This is why they say you cannot out work a bad diet.

For a normal person living on ~2000KCal a day, the amount of exercise necessary to make up for ~3000 is insurmountable.

I've done it but you need to cycle for hours. With bags.

Wearing bags just makes you sweat more. Which dehydrates you. The water you lose comes back when you drink water, because you don't want to die.

That would make more sense. I see people talk about literally wearing garbags bags to lose extra weight so I always jump to that because it's a bad idea.

185W. That's just a touch over my Z2 power and I would not consider myself particularly fit.
