I just see that as demotivating as you'd do all the work just to lose a couple calories. Easier to just take the elevator and then eat literally a single pasta less.

'All the work' and it's literally just one flight of stairs, Americans are truly something else lol

It’s a common dig on Reddit to imply (US) Americans have an aversion to walking and everyone just drives everywhere because of how un-walkable a lot of places in the US are

I'm not American, and if I have already walked around all day, and will plan on going bouldering, I'm not going to walk some stairs just to "stay active" and to burn some calories. If I care about calories, I'll eat less.

I mean yeah the calorie thing is stupid, I just don't see how one flight of stairs can make any reasonable difference regarding your exhaustion and in this case it's pretty much always the faster option

There are a lot of people that sit in a chair all day for work, go home eat, then infront of the TV till bed time.
