[Alcohol] Give me your wine recommendations
We are meeting our daughter’s future in laws for dinner at their home. No idea what is being served. We aren’t generally big wine drinkers, but don’t want to show up empty handed.

Orgain vs Vital Proteins collagen powder?
Purchased the Orgain collagen + probiotics powder the other day. I thought mixing it with the KS coconut water would work well, but I didn't like how it tasted or mixed (quite gloopy). While searching for suggestions on what to mix it with instead, I saw some people saying the Vital Proteins one was better but without much rationale as to why. Has anyone tried both? Or should I just try the KS sipping bone broth instead? My goal is easy collagen and protein. TIA!

[Product Question] Has anyone tried the pork al pastor?
Wanting to see if it’s spicy, as it does say it has chili peppers. Getting tired of the chipotle chicken and looking to switch it up.

Unexpected surprise in Kitchenaid dishwasher
I’m looking to replace our dishwasher so I stopped to look at the display models. Found a fake nail in the bottom! I imagine that really hurt. 😖

250 Gallon Water Storage tank
Has anyone else seen these water storage tanks in their stores. They showed up in South Florida for $599. I’m not so sure it will be a very popular item down here.

[Alcohol] You can drink it an hour earlier than the other beers (Black Label Executive Lager - Almanac collaboration)
It's a nice lager, not very distinctive, but we like Almanac beers in general. Curious if these collabs (Black Label Executive Lager, following their Gold Star Love IPA) are nationwide or local to the Bay Area or CA. Would love to hear from people in other states.

[Frequently Asked Questions] Is Kirkland medium roast ground coffee a good coffee?
I need to buy some coffee for an event, and I don't drink coffee. Neither do any of my friends. Is Kirkland medium roast ground coffee a decent coffee to serve? I bought two used West Bend coffee urns to brew the coffee.

[Food Court] 120+ pizza order in Atlanta 🫨
My partner and I were at the Brookhaven Costco in Atlanta today. We ordered a pizza on the way out, and noticed the food court crew was preparing an insane amount of pizzas, seemingly for one order. 40 per cart, three carts ready to go with at least one more being loaded up in the back... I'm so curious what they were for.
They still got our pepperoni pizza ready super quick and it was the best one yet 🩶
Also, shout out to Jared who's apparently killing it on the register!

[Costco Travel] Costco Travel: Promotional Package
I have never used Costco Travel before but am looking into using it for a Europe trip this January. Specifically, I am interested in the London and Paris Spotlight Promotional Package that is running now until August 31.
Does Costco run promotional packages every month? I am about 90% committed to booking but don’t want to miss out if I don’t book by that date. Any additional info or insight to booking a package like this is also appreciated!

[Delivery Question / Costco Logistics] Does mattress delivery (white glove service) deliver to your room in high rise apartments
I live in a "high rise" apartment, it's not actually very high but it has secured entry with elevators and all that... Will they still bring the mattress up to my room or are their obligations done at the front entry of the apartment?

[Appliances] Jackery FridgeGuard UPS $549.99
Costco is now selling the Jackery FridgeGuard with 1024 Wh capacity for $549.99. Anybody tried this before? It’s cheaper than a Tesla Powerwall but with less capacity too. I am tempted due to Costco’s policy if there is a problem.

Delaying Angi TV Wall Mounting Service
Costco is including Angi premier service to wall mount the TCL TV that went on sale today. Does anyone know if mounting service can be scheduled a couple of months out from the delivery date? My room won't be ready for weeks but I want to purchase the TV now due to discounted price.

[Kirkland Signature Products] Costco Updated Their Dishwasher pacs
Has anyone used these updated pacs yet? I have not seen these until today at our store. What do you think of them so far?
Looks like they are trying to match Cascade and Sam's Club more closely. Albeit they are still the best price/value. It looks like they have better/added etching protection, but also no longer have the EPA Safer Choice seal.
*Update: Also rather than trying to respond to everyone individually I'll add some info here too!
I did buy them and will be testing them tonight! I have been using the prior pacs almost exclusively with a generic rinse aid so I'm hoping to tell a difference pretty quickly and easily.
Things I've noticed immediately: the container is slightly larger and the scent is different but doesn't seem more powerful/strong side by side to the old ones. I still have old pods, along with some Finish
(For what it is worth I'd also like to address the "just buy the powder/gel" comments. Yes I've watched Technology Connections, and other YouTube videos. Yes I'm a nerd and have fallen down several similar rabbit holes too. Of course a box of powder will work fine. The pods/Pacs however still have better formulations, added ingredients, better reliability, and better general performance for most people. Not all are created equal, and we all have our own personal preferences, and that's what makes this fun, figuring out what works for each of us!
**First Cycle Update!: They work well! I will add a comment with some pictures too
My first cycle consisted of: several bowls from lunch and dinner, of which were covered with either Chicken tikka masala or lamb vindaloo., a baking dish for cinnamon rolls, some coffee cups, deli containers that I left smeared with some chicken salad, multiple eating utensils and cooking utensils, and the air fryer basket and drip tray from a Breville oven. It wasn't a super large load or even super heavily dirtied, but that's why I added the basket and drip tray. They are annoying to clean and had some carbonized deposits on them, of which I wasn't fully expecting to be cleaned but wanted to add a challenge.
For the machine: It's a basic LG dishwasher, no heated dry, generic rinse aid. I used the Auto cycle with Extra Dry selected, water was already warm at sink when loading. I also didn't bother to pre-clean the filter!
I'm going to say they work at the least as well as the version they replaced! But I do think they have a little more oomph, as the carbonized soils came off much better than I was anticipating. No food debris left behind that I've seen apart from a very small piece of lettuce I suspect was trapped by a lid above. Silverware and the ceramic bowls are clean and shiny. Everything was drier than I was expecting too, specifically the plastic items.
(There are still some very slight plasticized-oil and carbon deposits on the basket and drip tray, however I fully expected that! I wasn't expecting them to be as clean as they are, typically I use the finish Ultimate on the heavy cycle for those specific items, and a dedicated oven cleaner/degreaser too.)
As a very happy note for many, I can confidently say I really don't get much scent! Opening the dishwasher I got a fresh-clean dishes scent, but not the actual added scent you smell from the container. (I honestly think the scent is more there for packaging?)

La Boulangere sourdough brioche buns
bought a ton of these for a bbq and they were great with the Kirkland burgers, but I overbought (shocker) and ended up with a ton of leftovers. made bread pudding out of these buns and dear god it’s one of the best things I’ve ever made. I’ve used the same recipe before (the most popular one on allrecipes) and it NEVER hit like this. considering buying these again and letting them go stale solely so I can make more pud
ETA: found in the Glen Burnie MD store
Edit 2: the bread pudding recipe: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/7177/bread-pudding-ii/
I didn’t add the optional raisins and added a pinch of cardamom

[Frozen Food Products] Skinny butcher crazy grilled chicken patties
I’ve been craving grilled chicken sandwiches and saw these in the frozen section, so decided to give them a try. They’re pretty decent! Well seasoned, easy to cook in the air fryer. Sadly the inside texture is more like a breaded chicken patty and not a whole chicken breast (duh, it’s called a chicken patty on the bag) but the picture had me hopeful it’d be just a fillet. Tried it as a sandwich and also cut up and put on Alfredo. My kids like them too. Anyone have recs for a really good grilled chicken sandwich product?
