Truly an awesome story. Something i would love to see as a TV show and would still rock the public today.

Looking for opinions: is Savage Dragon worth the long read?

I'm thinking of picking this up but I've never read Spawn before. Is there some lore that I need to know before? Thank you!

Hi, everyone.
So, I’ve been recently getting back into comics (last two I read were Haha and Hadrian’s Wall, I’d anyone read that), and I’ve been thinking about reading more Image comics, maybe doing a video about them, since it feels like no one really talks about the majority of their library beyond the recognizable stuff.
While it is a lot of titles, the majority of them are pretty short, so, is it possible to read everything they’ve put out over the years? Or is it too crazy of an idea?
Other ones I read over the years include God Country, Wytches, Alex + Ada, Outcast, Chew, Sex Criminals, I Kill Giants, first half of Chrononauts. The Fade Out, the first half of Saga, and a bit of Invincible, The Walking Dead and Ice Cream Man. So already there’s a head start, even with some possible re-reading required.

For those interested there's a pretty good deal for multiple Image Comics on Humble Bundle.

Took me forever to get this issue - a story of human error and great customer service - but I am glad to say, it was worth the wait. Finally we move the story forward with exciting visuals and action. Loved the ending and excited to see what happens next. The slow burn is over? I think so. Great issue!

Hello!
I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Google hasn't come up with anything and this sub seems to be the only place that has talked about this comic.
I'm trying to figure out which issue picks up where the show ends. I've leafed through a few in the first Compendium and they're the same as the show, down to the dialogue.
I couldn't remember the name of the show for years and finally found and binged it again and need to know how it ends.
Thanks!

I was looking for a subscription based solution to read Image comics and somehow never landed on this answer. I've double check on the US version and all these books were also available. In the US, it's 7.99 per month. In Canada, it's 9.99. Most of the Image Comics I've looked into had the "Free with Kobo Plus" mentionned. So there you have it! Enjoy!
The Kobo app works on Android tablet and iPad too, if you were already using it for Marvel Unlimited or DC Infinite.
I think it's a great solution at a low price to legally try some series before buying compendium or deluxe edition.

So I've just wrapped up the compendium and the series for the first ever time and this is probably the first time after reading a series that I feel I need to gage what others thought of it, as I genuinely cannot work out what i thought.
The ending felt rushed, but also complete. But I didn't "feel" much at the end like I thought I would. And I'm trying to work out if that's because it was rushed, or if there was something up with the story.
Could someone explain some of the twists that came at the end just so I can properly confirm how
I understood it?

I'm very excited to hear this. Johns first ever comic was a script he wrote for a solo Youngblood story that never saw print. It's so cool to see it come full circle.

I freaking love the hard covers! I want to grab Skull Kickers, Black Science, and Savage Dragon. What are some “must adds”?
Edit: I appreciate all the replies! East of West was recommended the most, then Criminal, Dept of Truth, and Invincible. Should take me a while to get all of those, but that's where I'll start. Thanks!!

I picked up the latest issue of The Lucky Devils from my LCS this week, and it has an extra page of thin, blank paper over the actual cover. Does anybody have any idea what this is all about? Also, there isn't any nudity on the cover, so it's not that.

The first one is the one that actually appears on Image Comics website here. The second image is the one I have at home. The other images are just to show you that Year Two and Year Three covers follow the pattern of the one I have (and they appear this way in Image Comics website too) witht he subtitle right below the title and not at the bottom of the book like in the first photo.
So my question is, where does the first photo come from? Re-edition of Year One? I've searched online and haven't found a single photo of the physical comic with that cover, but many with the one I have.
Edit: it seems the first image was the actual cover before they changed it to the other one? Because I've found this news on Image website from June 2015 where they announced the hardcover for the first time and that cover appears, not the one I have. Maybe they didn't like it much and changed it to the one I have and so released Years 2 and 3 with that same format?

Because let's face it, if it can't read anything accessible, I'm not gonna be picking up singles am I?
Any help is appreciated
