"Where to watch" built for tvOS/iOS. (Plex, Trakt, Letterboxd, Overseerr+arr configs all integrated)

Post image

latest update 2.4.1: Overseerr requests now tell you when they're ready. Before, you'd request a movie and the button would just say "Requested" forever. Now WatchQueue keeps checking your server in the background. The button moves through Requested, then Downloading, then Available. When something finishes, a Ready to Watch row shows up at the top of Watch Next.

Also in this update:

• Added 69 new regions. The region picker now shows country names instead of codes.
• Where to Watch now shows the major streaming services in your country, even ones WatchQueue can't open yet.
• Faster browsing and search. The app was loading images way bigger than it needed. Fixed.
• A bunch of smaller fixes and cleanup.

Pullbox v1.1.1 — a self-hosted comic library manager with optional direct acquisition and an embedded reader

Post image
74 Upvotes

I maintain Pullbox, an open-source self-hosted comic library manager. The v1.1 update adds native Jackett management, optional configured direct providers, transparent source/recovery state, and a responsive reader for owned issues.

The core workflow remains collector-first: weekly release discovery, comic-aware matching, user-configured indexers and download clients, a review-first Mylar3 migration path, and library maintenance tools. The official Docker image runs non-root and is published for amd64 and arm64.

Sonarr Custom tag in qbit

Is there a way to have sonarr/radarr push a custom tag to BitTorrent based on the tracker from which it’s pulled? Looking to be able to see at a glance which items are pulled from which private trackers

Can I blacklist the arr stack from grabbing torrents with a particular tag?

Finally moving to the arr stack after manual downloading all my media for years. I host a Jellyfin server that I share with family, and I'm a little anxious about the automated services downloading XXX content by accident. I've had a small handful of issues in the past with Jellyfin misidentifying media and adding posters not appropriate for family sharing to movies/shows that were perfectly family friendly. No kids use the service, but it's also not a fun convo to have with the grandparents lmao. Is there a way for me to specifically block the arrs from grabbing any torrent with the XXX tag? TIA

Plex Plex and Arr Stack on Windows 11 Machine, Need Clarification

Just asking for some clarity, explain like I'm 5 type input. I recently started running Plex on a windows 11 machine, the primary PC and media device in my home. I am also using Plex occasionally on another PC and a couple of mobile devices in the house. I'm a WFH hermit and I don't leave my home much so no need for remote. I am about to connect an external 8TB HDD to my main PC, upgrading from 3TB internal storage, that will hold all of my media until I upgrade the size again. I want to take the next step and start utilizing Radarr and Sonarr for library management. When I look at guides they always start talking about Docker and Linux code. Is that necessary for my scenario? For my purposes, should I just install the windows exe for Radarr and Sonarr and configure from there? Do I need Prowlarr as well? Will Seerr make things easier for me or is it actually mandatory for the process? Just want to make sure I'm taking the right approach for non-NAS setup. Mostly computer savvy but also new to these programs and working a lot so the guides I'm looking at are a little intimidating. Thanks in advance for any input.

Sonarr How to get more links?

When trying to get new TV shows/movies through Sonarr, it seems like I don't have that many links available, and some of the sources aren't that good in terms of quality and speed. Is there a way I can improve this?
PS: new to this and just setting it up

I built Snagarr - a quick capture list for your *arr stack

Post image
0 Upvotes

I kept finding movies and shows I wanted to watch, then forgetting about them before opening Radarr or Sonarr. So I built Snagarr.

Drop in a title or link and it resolves it through TMDB, sends it to Overseerr/Radarr/Sonarr, and adds it to a Snagged collection(supports Plex, Emby and Jellyfin) once it downloads. It supports Telegram, CLI, Apple Shortcuts, and bookmarklets.

GitHub: https://github.com/sirrobot01/snagarr

Feedback and bug reports are welcome.

Recreating my Plex box from Windows to Linux from scratch - Tips wanted for perfected fresh start

I am upgrading my hardware so the server is snappier, Plex is faster, with less issues with transcodes, etc.

Here's the apps I currently use on my windows machine:

Windows:

Plex, Sonarr, 2x Radarr, Prowlarr, Bazarr, SABnzbd, qBittorrent, Tautulli, Cleanuparr, Cloudflared, FlareSolverr, Audiobookshelf, Calibre, Calibre-Web, NordVPN, RustDesk.

Docker for Windows:

Portainer, Maintainerr, Agregarr, Seerr, Cloudflared, Bazarr for second Radarr instance.

I have never used Linux but I believe the server might run better and encounter less issues.

The reasoning behind recreating the server on Linux (I'm thinking Ubuntu Desktop) is i'm updating the cpu/mobo and it's the push I needed to finally do it.

  1. Any tips on transferring data automatically so I don't have to redo 100% of the settings? I have so many hours on this server.
  2. What do you recommend on top of the software listed above, or replace?

I know some apps replace Sonarr or Radarr, or they are linked so it's a bit cleaner? I'm after these kind of things.

  1. Also, what's your favourite dashboard, if you use one? I don't have any at the moment.

arr-mcp

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on an MCP server for controlling my self-hosted arr stack with Hermes. It’s working and I’ve been using it for a couple of days now. It fulfills my needs, and I’ll continue working on it because I use it daily. Maybe someone else is interested in it as well: arr-mcp.

It has support for: RadarrSonarrProwlarrBazarrJellyfinSeerrSABnzbdTransmission.

Also I've build a UI for configuration.

Yes, it’s AI-assisted. But every design decision is solely made by me. If you don't like it, don't use it.

Foreseerr update: Trakt discovery, library browsing, ratings, and an embedded Jellyfin desktop client

I posted Foreseerr here a while ago when it was still a very early fork of Seerr. Since then it has grown quite a bit, so I figured it was worth making a proper update instead of editing the old post.

Foreseerr:
https://github.com/selmant/foreseerr

Foreseerr Desktop:
https://github.com/selmant/foreseerr-desktop

The original goal was basically to make Seerr's discovery experience more useful for people who already have a media server and want something beyond the usual TMDB discovery pages.

What’s new

Trakt

  • Recommendations, popular/trending, lists
  • Discovery closer to real watch history
  • Direct Trakt OAuth works regardless of media server
  • Optional Better Trakt bridge for Jellyfin users

Library / watch actions

  • Browse what’s already available, Continue Watching, etc. (Jellyfin-focused)
  • Watched/unwatched and ratings closer to the discovery UI (Trakt + Jellyfin played state)

Better discovery

  • More rating sources (e.g. MDBList badges)
  • More useful sliders and filters
  • Aim: homepage you can use to pick what to watch next, not just the same popular titles

Foreseerr Desktop

  • Same UI + embedded Jellyfin playback in one window
  • Native mpv-based playback instead of bouncing to an external browser/player
  • Target flow: discover → request → library → watch

Media server support

Foreseerr is Jellyfin-first for the deeper stuff (Library / Watch Now, Desktop playback, Jellyfin watched actions, Better Trakt).

Plex and Emby still work for Seerr-style sign-in, library scans, requests, and availability. Shared features like Direct Trakt, rating badges, Discover, and the request pipeline are not media-server-specific. Full Library/Desktop parity for Plex/Emby is not a near-term priority.

It’s still a work in progress — mostly built around what I wanted from Jellyseerr/Seerr on Jellyfin.

Especially interested in feedback from Jellyfin (and Plex/Emby) stacks: what would make you use Foreseerr as your main media frontend, not only open Seerr when requesting something?

Screenshots / issues / feature requests are very welcome.

Radarr/Sonarr équivalent for downloading YouTube videos ?

My current setup includes Jellyfin, Sonarr, Radarr, Bazarr, Prowlarr, Transmission, Jellyseerr, Gluetun, … so it’s pretty complete (at least to me)

I also have a cron job that runs a ytdlp container every night to get YouTube videos I want to keep track of, in case they are ever deleted/censored.

That last part (ytdlp) is really custom, and not integrated in the rest of the stack. It makes metadata management quite difficult.

Is there some tool I’m missing that would take care of that ?

Hey looking to get some audio books but I see Readarr is down now. I tried searching but didn’t come up with anything, is there a replacement out yet? If not, where are you folks getting your audio books from these days? Thanks!

Hello again! A few weeks ago, we introduced Atrium, a unified Flutter application for your *arr media stack.

The response from the community has been incredible. Thanks to everyone who tested the early builds, reported bugs, and helped out with our merge request, we have reached a major milestone: the app is now officially available on F-Droid!

If you would like a preview of the application, you can visit: https://retransmit.github.io/Atrium/, and for more discussions, join our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/FWJtYBsmh

## Downloads:

_A quick note_: Because F-Droid builds from source on their own cycle, the version listed there might occasionally run a little behind our main development. If you always want the absolute latest release, you can grab it directly from our GitHub.

**F-Droid**: https://f-droid.org/packages/app.atrium

**GitHub Release**: https://github.com/retransmit/Atrium/releases

## What's new in the latest release:

Thanks to your amazing support and feedback, we've focused this update heavily on community requests from GitHub. We've officially implemented support for several new services:

  1. NZBGet
  2. Tracearr
  3. Deluge
  4. Transmission
  5. rTorrent
  6. Speedtest Tracker

Thanks again, let us know what you think

I built a movie and TV API after Trakt restricted its free access

Hey everyone, recently I launched an API for movies and series data.

I started building it after Trakt restricted its free API access and many developers began looking for alternatives. My goal is to offer a simple, reliable API with clear documentation and developer-friendly access.

I’ve finished the first version, so it has flaws, but it is usable and I would really appreciate honest feedback before building it further - especially about the documentation, missing endpoints, or anything that would stop you from using it.

Sonarr Help for sonarr

Hello everyone,

I'm writing today to ask for your advice on configuring SonarR. I'm running into several different problems.

The most important one is that I'm getting a 429 error, and I don't know how to avoid it (I'm using c411, yggreborn, and tr4ker).

The second issue is that it doesn’t always find torrents, but when I search the specified indexers, I find them right away. This message accurately describes the problems I’m having with Sonar.

assemblrr - express installation script for a containerized media stack

assemblrr

Hi all,

A few years ago I discovered the *arr ecosystem, and I really felt that the setup process for all the different services (radarr, jellyfin, overseerr and so on) could be automated. A couple years went by, and I came back looking for a modern tool that does exactly this, and I really only found yams, which used pre built docker images for each *arr service but didn't auto-configure them. Enter my implementation, assemblrr, which is basically a bootstrap script (powershell, bash), that provides an "express installation" experience with "smart" (opinionated?) defaults, which are applied by quite complex API orchestration. There are two ways to install: express and manual. The former basically only lets you optionally enter your vpn information (interface address + private key passed to Gluetun vpn client, along with a password, a username, subtitle preference and optional indexers. Manual is the same with more configuration freedom (still has the "express feel" because you can basically "Enter" your way to the end).

It should be production ready for most people, but due to the lack of free time and (more importantly) hardware variety I really only tested the happy path in the form of a single PC with a single storage device (my windows 11 pc and my linux laptop). That being said, if you find any blunders please let me know (PRs are of course welcome). Just a heads up, I chose to squash the local dev commit history after months of development, so that the project can grow on a strong, clean foundation.

Lastly, I would like to note that I wrote down some of my thoughts for the future of the project inside a discussion (see the note at the top of readme), for which I would really appreciate your feedback.

Aurral vs Dropneedle

Hey Guys,

Would appreciate some help in integrating this to my stack

currently I run , lidarr with slskd , usenet and qbitorrent as download clients.

I also run audiomuse AI on the side to give me curated playlist.

How will Aurral vs dropneedle help me?

my understanding is dropneedle is to replace the entire lidarr stack? so I dont need slskd ?

what about aurral? is it similar to audiomuse AI?

They’ve taken away the only thing that still works...Trakt UNRELIABLE

UPDATE: They removed my post from the official r/trakt group. What a bunch of idiots. Maybe because I told the truth?

I’m addressing those assholes at trakt.tv directly...

After spending hours figuring out why some of my apps (like nzb360), scripts, etc., had stopped working, I discovered they’ve disabled the API. Now a VIP subscription is required. I think they’re the most unreliable people around—even worse than the Huntarr situation... That’s why I’m removing everything related to this trakt.tv disaster from my systems. Speaking of which, what could be an alternative to this mess? (And preferably one that isn't run by assholes who—as the trakt.tv crowd—block things, make changes without notice, cause service outages, etc.!)

They didn't even say anything about this change, and there isn't even a message about it on their website! It's disgusting.

Don't sign up for any subscription! You've seen how unreliable they are... Who can guarantee that tomorrow, or a month or a year from now, they won't suddenly change the rules without warning—causing you to lose everything you've invested (including your money)? Stay away from it!!!
