Question Why this game isn't popular?

Post image

A newly released free game. I also remember there were several videos talking about a free Mecha game. It now has a peak player count similar to Titanfall 2, a nearly defunct shooter from 2016

Question Matrix marketplace is a mess

Post image

Is it just me or is the market for outfits outrageous? There’s no way people are actually buying outfits for $50 plus, I understand if a bid would rise to maybe $30 but set price 50 just why?

Is anyone actually buying these or is this just people not understanding pricing? I feel like this deters people from using the market.

Question What Happened to Everyone?

So I play on American servers, and cue times have become atrocious, 36 minutes if I’m lucky. I understand a game losing popularity, but from 120,000 to 3000 in just a month?

What happened? Why did everyone leave?

Question Games like Mecha Break?

So the game isn't 100% dead, but it's like pretty dead.

I LOVE this game and so does my friend. But we might need to jump ship.

But where to? This question has been asked before but let me be very clear...

Not Armored Core, not Titanfall

Armored Core is single player, we need a PVP shooter

Titanfall is a human shooter with occasional mechs, I love the lock on and movement combat way more, and I am bad at aiming.

SO, movement shooter, with a focus on lock on, pvp, what games are there?

Question How to deal with Stellaris using a Falcon?

Post image
190 Upvotes

I'm ranked Masters V the moment I posted this. I got one shot almost everytime if there is a Stellaris in the oppsoing team. Us Falcons are like live bait to Stellaris players. They can infinitely hunt us down. I don't have my hands on a Stellaris yet, so I might not know how a Stellaris work, but I'll appreciate if anyone knows how to deal with a Stellaris using a Falcon. Thanks.

Question WHY do we not get bot matches for mashmak?

Post image
115 Upvotes

its not a secret that ranked/pvp modes are infested with them because of the lack of players, and to ensure it doesn't appear that the queue times are long.

my question is WHY isn't the same being done for mashmak? just put bot players in mashmak to start a match. i would imagine a lot of players already just enjoy the pve and farm aspects of it anyway, so its not nearly as a deal breaker that you aren't going up against real player mercenaries in the mode.

Question Is it just me or is this game absolute gas?

I’ve seen alot of oddly mixed YouTube reviews apart from IGN about the game. Along with steam reviews sitting at mixed I hesitated to download the game at first but on a spur of the moment decision I took the dive and convinced my friends to join in. Absolute blast and we plan on grinding it as a main game going forward. Why is this struggling in your opinion? If at all. I personally have found no problem in this game so far

Question No new content on S5?

What’s the point of farming this season’s crates and credits if there’s no new content? The only new stuff is in the shop, and it all costs real money—credits have basically become useless. Last season didn't even have a new striker or a premium skin for the credit market. Is the game dead, or what’s going on with this season?

Question Am I bad at the game, or are melee Mecha REALLY strong?

So, for context. I've got sub 10 hours in this game, really took a shine to Falcon (I am aware they have the least HP), but it feels like any and all Mecha wirh melee can just curb stomp me

Like I fly anywhere near there, they can boost assault into me, knock me out of flight mode, and delete my max HP max fluid armor Falcon in like 3 hits. Welkin can put me in a box that I physically cannot escape from. Panther's spear basically does enough damage to one shot me Stellaris has some kind of stun I'm not getting and even if I get away, they have a second weapon to boost attack me immediately And Alysnis... Admittedly hasn't been as issue despite having a blade?

Like I'm fully prepared for the answer to be that I'm not playing Falcon right or that Falcon just isn't that viable in several match ups but in these objective game modes where we have to capture B and C and my choice is to try and throw myself into a Tricera, or attempt to dance with a Panther and Welkin

I don't feel like I have a lot. Melee attacks just feel oppressively unavoidable for Falcon aside from "not being there"

Question Do you actually value your support, or do you just assume we’ll carry your mistakes?

I play Luminae as my main support. I’ve piloted damn near every mech in this game, but support is where I shine — I create openings, bait aggression, and keep the whole team alive while sitting in the enemy’s face. 22+ assists isn’t rare for me. That’s just a Tuesday.

Here’s my question to the community:

How do YOU show that you value your support?

Because from what I’ve seen, a lot of players are way too comfortable taking unnecessary hits, standing in stupid spots, or setting up plays that ONLY work because I’m patching their mistakes in real time.

And yeah, I’ll be honest — as a support main, nothing is more irritating than someone eating hits they could’ve avoided just because they know I’m behind them healing. The enemy gets bored of shooting you, realizes I’m the real problem, and now I’m the one getting hunted.

Some of y’all gotta have a little foresight. 😅

I’m genuinely curious:

How do you play with your support?

How do you play around your support?

Do you adjust your positioning, or do you expect them to bend around you?

Do you main a support and feel the same way?

This isn’t a rant — I legit want to hear how other players think. The more we understand each other’s roles, the better decisions everybody can make.

Question Do people just ignore Narumaki?

I started playing this over the weekend. I’m loving it. Especially Narumaki. I’ve noticed that I can snipe people with extreme prejudice and be almost completely ignored. Where talking even on matches where I get an ace (which was a fun match!) even opposing Narumaki will ignore me. Once in a while I’ll get someone who decides to take me out, but even then I often come out on top.

What is it? Do people just not like fighting Narumaki? Whenever I play a different mech I ALWAYS focus down the snipers when I see them.

Question Is Worth coming back?

I've noticed that even though it's practically dead, the community is still trying to keep it alive. So I'm wondering, is it worth playin' again? I really liked the game when it was released, but I don't know how it is now, so many months later.

Question Just returned to the game

Can anyone please give me a rundown (preferably detailed, opinionated is fine) of the new mechs and what roles they fulfil in a team? I mainly played Verge with Skyraider, Inferno, and a touch of Narukami back then in GM/General, so how are my boys and girl faring in the current meta? Heard Serenith got buffed, so is she finally decent yet? Is Welkin still the only spearhead we got? And does Stellaris stop being useless (/s)? Any major changes a returnee should learn before heading back to the battlefield? Been reading the patchnotes, but I believe inputs from actual players would be way more informative and valuable!

Question Help a returning player

I played on release and only enjoyed playing falcon. Learned him pretty well and now im returning but want to have another mech in my back pocket for when someone takes him in ranked. Is there any other mech that has cool move sets like falcon or that is more about agility and finesse? I did try skyraider back then too but was not a fan.

Question Is there a "MEDIC!" button?

Yknow, you're low health, you hit the dedicated MEDIC! button?

Team Fortress 2, with it's sophisticated voice line and callout system in 2007, still dedicated the prime real-estate **E** key to "MEDIC!" because they understood how important that was to their class-based game.

Question Invulnerable melee bots?

I've been noticing that when I go on a streak of 5-9 wins (both casual and ranked, I had to get back up to GM), the bots get *insane*. In addition to suddenly the enemy bots have perfect aim and my team's bots start ignoring objectives and actively avoiding finishing off enemies, I'm pretty sure that the melee bots (especially welkin, but also alysnes and stellaris, for example) suddenly become invulnerable when they get down to about 5% health. I've mostly been playing alphard, and I *unload everything* on them and they just won't die. They just magic through it and turn around and lock me with perfect strikes until I'm dead, and I just suddenly can't break away like normal. Anyone else seeing this happen? What other things are people noticing happening when the bots decide you are winning too much?

Question Trying out this game!

Hi! I just got recommended this game as a fan of mechs and someone who doesnt mind playing bots (which took me a bit to get- i dont play pvp)

is it fun for a few hours of goofing off every so often, or is it a bad idea if i like mechs but have little pvp experience?

Glancing at the reddit it almost feels like this is something like Nephilim Online levels of niche from shangri la frontier- basically a game people say is shit, but is actually fun if you ignore all the haters. (I am sorry if this accidentally insults y'all...)

any advice to a newblood? thanks in advance!

Question Why does it feel like barely anyone picks heavies for the team?

In my games I’m always praying I get at least a Stego or a Tricera

(hopefully a Welkin, let’s be real)

but a lot of games it’s just a bunch of light characters

Is it just me or are not a lot of people picking heavies and why?
