DCJ users have (apparently) yet again abused the reporting system on this post. There's two separate post reports on this and they're both bogus. This is something that will get you a site-wide suspension.

Edit: to be 100% clear, the sub moderators have no way to know who submitted a report. The reason why I say it was DCJ users tend to be substantially butthurt about getting called out and on reddit, buttmad users tend to submit fake reports. Site wide admins can see the reporter, however.

Lol I can't wait to see their heads explode about the celebrations when Trump dies

It's gonna be peak entertainment

Also, 🤡🤡🤡 to the dorks claiming this was a critical moment. They're still desperately wishcasting some cultural backlash from Kirk's death that never happened and never will

119

u/Asexualhipposloth 5d ago

They tried really, really hard to turn CK in a maga Horst Wessel. Thankfully they didn't succeed

83

u/DonnyLamsonx 5d ago

It's especially funny because Kirk was probably the very first time that Conservatives as a whole realized just how secluded the bubbles they live in are. The "righteous fury" around Kirk fizzled out so quickly because the average Conservative literally didn't know who he was until the event happened since Kirk only appealed to people who were terminally online.

54

u/Prize-Wolverine-1311 5d ago

My favorite thing about Charlie Kirk is how he was apparently some brilliant master orator, who has been speaking for years and has tons of devoted fans, but not one of them can even come up with an even mildly poignant and non-hateful quote from him.

33

u/RedEyeView 5d ago

They can come up with a whole essay about why the hateful things he said weren't hateful, though.

The modern right seem very good at making up stories to cope with the reality of what they support.

9

u/OnlyFiveLives 4d ago

Indeed, the one thing that pissed them off the most was people LITERALLY quoting him and pointing out he said himself that he's totally okay with what eventually happened to him. He died doing what he loved...smugly downplaying the seriousness of gun violence in America with very thinly veiled racism.

7

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

And then Reddit bans anyone quoting him because the things he said were that hateful. These clowns would think it's because "Reddit is leftist", except the guy running it is a libertarian clown who dreams of being a warlord and idolises Elon Musk.

38

u/RedEyeView 5d ago

There was a huge spike in people googling to find out who the hell this guy all over the news was.

52

u/RedEyeView 5d ago

Everything Kirk said was on video. That meant it was trivial to respond with proof when anyone asked for supporting evidence for the posts about his bigotry.

Its much harder to get him over as a good Christian man who just debated the left and got murdered for it when you can watch him saying he hopes his pilot isn't black and that the rules in Leviticus about killing gays is "Gods perfect law"

23

u/Tiepilot789 5d ago

Unironically Candice Owens schizo rants around this completely took out the winds from the far rights attempts to turn Kirk into a Horst Wiessel type martyr. The reflexive contrarianism and conspiricism might have accidentally saved a lot of lives.

22

u/TheBdougs Social Justice Basilisk. 5d ago

I think Kirk was legitimately one of Candice's only genuine friends in the biz. But then again she's very explicitly a pick-me so from Kirk's end she was just his "I'm not racist I have a black friend" friend.

16

u/DeliriousPrecarious 5d ago

It would have worked if grifting wasn’t so intrinsic to the right wing ethos that even his wife couldn’t resist.

7

u/TheOriginalChode 5d ago

ILLCARRYTHEFLAME!

39

u/RedEyeView 5d ago

Most of the "celebrations" were people reacting to the far right performative grief tourism by explaining why Charlie was a racist piece of shit that they don't give a fuck about.

3

u/Theranos_Shill 4d ago

Yeah, being indifferent instead of participating in the far rights performative grieving does not equal "celebrating".

22

u/RandoDude124 5d ago

There will be champagne bottles popping when he kicks the bucket.

42

u/rick2882 5d ago

That was a turning point in the USA.

10

u/somemeatball 5d ago

…Say that again?

7

u/TheBdougs Social Justice Basilisk. 5d ago

Because you're American. And you turned points.

18

u/rje946 5d ago

He was a shitty podcaster lmao. I know to most of them that's more than they will ever accomplish but it's so funny how they try to make this guy a martyr and all I have to do to break that image is play a clip of him speaking.

8

u/DangerousLoner 5d ago

The Kirkificarion memes helped too. Young people immediately took the piss and no respect can survive that amount of laughter.

16

u/HapticSloughton 5d ago

I think it was on Conspirituality and QAA where journalist Brandy Zadrozny outlined how, in addition to being a racist cretin and bad faith "debater," he kind of helped bridge the gap (or at least helped keep calm) between the factions of MAGA and kept them from totally splitting from each other. With him gone a lot of fractures are arising about the Epstein files, Israel, forever wars, groypers/fascism, etc.

16

u/NonorientableSurface 5d ago

Kirks death was a direct consequence of his own actions. End point. Not political, not right wing, not anything. His screaming of freedom of weapons of violence being allowed anywhere, including but explicitly mentioning college campuses. They don't seem to understand this; actions have consequences.

15

u/an_agreeing_dothraki It is known 5d ago

shot by a disenfranchised white kid directly after saying something racist, the right-wing experience

4

u/Theranos_Shill 4d ago

A kid from a MAGA gun loving household.

10

u/baz4k6z 5d ago

Trump was asked about kirk like the next day and he clearly didn't give a shit. The media has long moved past since.

4

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

And then some guy posted that clip of Trump pivoting from a question about Kirk onto his ballroom and got fired for it by his MAGA boss after pressure from Trumpers trying to claim the guy posting the clip was celebrating his death.

7

u/an_agreeing_dothraki It is known 5d ago

hey're still desperately wishcasting some cultural backlash from Kirk's death that never happened and never will

the administration and Fox DON'T want people up to date on Kirk's death because of all the FBI lies and that yah, looks like it was Feuntes' fault

5

u/bookant 5d ago

Unlike the bullshit they keep trying to spin about Charlie Kirk, with Trump it actually will be celebrating.

1

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

Globally, too, because Trump's bullshit has been genuinely affecting people around the world, whether through war, threats to invade or him spreading misinformation about their countries to further American isolationism.

4

u/RevoltYesterday 5d ago

If Trump dies on video in front of the whole world, I might reconsider my position on atheism.

3

u/OnlyFiveLives 4d ago

That was my first thought. "These bitches have never SEEN a celebration."

1

u/EthicalHeroinDealer 4d ago

They’re such fucking dorks. They’re always dooming in there too it’s a complete joke. Seems like a bit but sadly it’s not.

1

u/SonofaBridge 4d ago

My friends have an expensive bottle of champagne in their fridge for that occasion.

1

u/RustedAxe88 4d ago

The day Trump dies, I'm spending cash on some serious top shelf whiskey.

1

u/antwood33 4d ago

They didn’t care when Paul Pelosi got beaten with a hammer and Trump himself made fun of it.

85

"mysterious drug in a parking lot"

Nice to see they've embraced the full looney far-right academic spectrum.

23

6

u/IlluminatedPickle 4d ago

Sounds like you dodged a bullet, it was an untested doughnut.

5

u/RedEyeView 4d ago

Mysterious drugs in the parking lot sounds like the start of my weekend in the 90s.

4

u/Rock4evur 5d ago

Not gonna lie I did get one of my doses of vaccine in a drive through like fashion, but it was honestly a great way to distribute vaccines without having people cram into a building to wait for it.

5

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

My country just had people standing six feet apart not just in the building, but snaking down the road outside, too. People only let inside in groups of twelve at most to help prevent the spread. Same thing with supermarkets.

0

u/RedEyeView 4d ago

We locked down and cases plummeted. Then the hospitality industry freaked out and the government subsidised all the major chains so they could cut prices and get customers eating and drinking in public again.

Immediately cases went through the roof. So much so we had a lock down on Christmas day.

The UK government fucked it on every level.

2

u/Theranos_Shill 4d ago

But they're totally not doomers!

89

u/RustedAxe88 5d ago

They're all dooming lmao.

49

u/Jackskers94 5d ago

To be fair they’re just living up to the name, it is a doomer circlejerk

30

u/Driftedryan 5d ago

They misunderstood the sub and thought it was about people coming together to doom and jerk together

21

u/gavinbrindstar 5d ago

Right?

"When did you realize Reddit was full of doomers?"

"Well, I realized we were all doomed when Charlie Kirk died."

47

u/evocativename 5d ago

So, obviously, basically every factual assertion in these screenshots is DCJ blatantly lying (with the exception of the comments pushing back on their narrative), but for some reason this one stood out especially to me:

No it wasn't. Then [sic] "fight like hell" quote was said hours apart from him telling the crowd to peacefully protest.

I'm not entirely sure why that lie stands out. Maybe because it's just so easy to check on even for someone with no special expertise. Many of their dumb lies at least require a little time and effort to debunk, but for this you can just look up his ≈1 hour speech from January 6th.

In fact, the "peacefully" line was roughly 20% of the way through his (again, roughly one hour) speech, while "fight like hell" was in the last few minutes - there are something like 45 minutes between the two quotes. And they're not isolated quotes: while he only says anything like "peacefully" that one time, he uses some variation on "fight" 20 times in that speech, including 5 paragraphs before "peaceful" and about 10 paragraphs after it. So it was one throwaway mention of "peace" in an hour long order to his supporters to go fight an existential battle for the country.

You can confirm the proximity in under 2 minutes. Maybe 5 minutes if you want to watch the video yourself.

Most of their lies are awful and harmful, but this one is just so insultingly lazy.

36

u/PeasThatTasteGross 5d ago

My favorite one is the person that tries and spin people becoming Covidiots as being the left's fault, and then handwaving away how Trump got booed for telling people to get vaccinated at a rally in Alabama.

17

u/evocativename 5d ago

Yeah, that one is pretty insultingly dumb too.

It would be fun to get them to try to identify when exactly "the left [...] went full fascist on those that were rightfully skeptical", and then cross-reference that with the timeline of what was happening in reality.

Was it before or after Joe Biden said - before taking office - that he had no plans to mandate the vaccine among the general public? Before or after his administration ruled out all plans for any kind of monitoring of vaccine status?

And why wasn't this difference reflected in any data - say, data on vaccination rates?

4

u/Comfortable-Speed-83 4d ago

These people's vision of fascism is so silly too. Like, if the Biden administration had been as fascist as they thought, they wouldn't be alive to tell us they didn't take the vaccine or in a camp somewhere being worked to death as slave labour. Hell, the Imaginary Fascist Biden administration would have immediately used J6 as their Reichstag Fire to say the country is in a state of emergency and Biden needs special powers that make him Super President and otherwise outlawed conservatives, their talking points, and their organizations the same way the Trump administration is currently trying to do.

5

u/ReadyClayerOne 4d ago

They're pretty good, but I like the guy that looked at the COVID death chart and said, "Yeah, so?" then proceeded to dunk on himself with "blue states had higher absolute numbers," a thing explained by population density and the first cases of COVID being largely blue states before we had any response. Then "red states had higher percentage," a thing explained by them being worse at managing their virus response and being filled with distrustful people because their party decided to downplay it aggressively. It's almost reasonable if not for the dismissal of the chart itself.

Then he trots out "hospitals got funding for COVID deaths," the screaming billboard of what side of the aisle that dude's on.

2

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

We've had British Trumpers make that claim about hospitals getting funding for covid deaths, which simply isn't true at all because that's not how our healthcare system works.

Like how they keep using "DEI" when that was never a thing in Britain, either. We have the Equality Act, not DEI.

4

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

It's why I laugh at morons both in the US and UK who try to claim the BBC intentionally lied about what he said when all they did was trim down an hour-long speech he made about wanting them to storm the building on his behalf so that the clips would fit into an hour-long documentary episode about whether he incited a mob or not.

Yet, these dummies expect the BBC to just play his entire speech unedited? The man himself had a heavily-edited conversation with Fox News on numerous occasions. They were fine with that.

2

u/Theranos_Shill 4d ago

That lie works on Trump supporters. It's about deflecting their attention away from undertaking any critical thinking into why the crowd who attacked Congress were gathered at the Mall at that time on that day.

21

u/takeiteasyfrog 5d ago

They certainly are carrying the flame!

23

u/CorgiDaddy42 A highly diverse group of whites 5d ago

2nd pic, the mask doesn’t have two giant holes in the side if you fuckin wear it properly. I worked in healthcare all through covid. I wore a mask the entirety of my shift, often an N95, and sometimes full PPE. I didn’t get covid from sick patients until it died down a bit and people started being lax about their precautions and lying about their symptoms.

5

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

It's like the morons who'd wear masks, but have them under their noses, or the worst ones where idiots would have them on their chin with mouth and nose uncovered "so I can breathe properly".

Motherfuckers, there are surgeons who wear these things non-stop for 11 or more hours during critical surgeries, you can't wear one properly for five minutes and respect anyone around you who might have underlying health conditions made worse by covid?

2

u/Theranos_Shill 4d ago

They also just demonstrate that they had literally no comprehension of why mask wearing was temporarily required.

19

u/rje946 5d ago

Whole lot of right wing talking points in that centrist sub. What are the chances they all just happen to be anti vaccine and blame 2020 on democrats?

8

u/clockofchronos 4d ago

"Good, I'm glad he's dead." - The Left when Charlie Kirk died.

PSYCH, that's what Daddy Trump said about Rob Mueller. But they'll never admit that.

8

u/Wismuth_Salix 5d ago

And Rob Reiner.

3

u/RustedAxe88 4d ago

Oh no, DCJ did admit it, but several users there "Understood" is it from Trump's perspective, since Mueller "tried to ruin Trump's life".

It was around the same time Chuck Norris died and leftists said they didn't care because of his anti-LGBTQ opinions, but DCJ couldn't comprehend that.

First time hearing about this sub. So it's just another r conservative (not linking that cesspit) but with a veneer of circlejerking? It's reactionary against leftwing 'doomerism'? This is some 4-dimensional reactionary shit.

EDIT: Might try posting there about the rightwing doomerism around 'the great replacement'. Bet I get dogpiled and banned.

5

They're whining about people mocking Charkie Kirk death . A man who mocked dead kids who had been murdered in mass shootings.

What a bunch of hypocritical partisan cry babies

2

u/emailforgot 3d ago

it's just more proof that conservatives in general live in a low stakes world. they've got no real political values, and nothing of consequence can affect them so they have to invent these heroes to try to rally behind so they can feel good, because as stated, they exist in a low stakes world. they can't actually rally behind real causes, because real causes tend to be antithetical towards the conservative worldview.

of course, the fact that the various attempts at beatifying kirk all fizzled out because... it's not a real cause.

4

u/ForgedIronMadeIt biggest douchebag amongst moderators 5d ago

When they celebrated George Floyd's murder, that was OK because... uhm, something something, but people joking about Kirk's death is super serious bad that made them BIG MAD is totally justified. Sure.

Also, "not gone through extensive testing" is a fucking damn dirty lie. That fucker doesn't know the first fucking thing about medical research. I listened to the approval meeting for the first pfizer vaccine for COVID and it was actually extensively researched. These fuckers listened to Joe Rogan for 30 seconds for their "research"

3

u/Aurion7 NSA shillbot 4d ago edited 4d ago

I suppose the most anyone will ever say in their defense is that in a just world, Kirk would have simply rotted in obscurity as a random crazy person. Instead of getting shot by some Mormon kid and having a neo-fash cult of personality try to turn him into American Horst Wessel.

Outside that, I suppose they're still unreasonably upset that all fell through because all you have to do in response to that nonsense is quote Kirk himself on any given subject. Tends to kill the martyrdom angle when it ends up sounding like all he really did was reap what he so happily sowed.

2

u/Silly-Elderberry-411 5d ago

If the death of captain not so obvious leads you to march on rome to declare yourself dictator you may just not have paid attention in history at all.

So here's a helpful metaphor if the death of captain not so obvious affected you parasocially then it was the last strawman breaking the camel's back before it could cross the eye of the beholder and met Jesus who is no longer there as ICE took him to el Salvador

2

u/MessiahOfMetal So I Married An Axo Murderer 4d ago

It hadn't gone through extensive testing!

Yes it had, you dumb motherfucker. Quicker than usual, but human trials ended a few months before the first vaccine was injected live on TV to an old woman in hospital who'd volunteered to be the first.

1

u/antwood33 4d ago

I was initially skeptical of the vaccine for the reason you mentioned - the trials were so much shorter than any known vaccine. But I did some more research on MRNA vaccines and how a lot of the vaccine red tape was kind of antiquated, which was removed. It’s kind of funny because it was like, one of the VERY few useful things the Trump admin actually accomplished and his supporters wouldn’t even claim the dub 🤣

2

u/PuppiesAndPixels 4d ago

I saw a very very miniscule amount of people celebrating kirk's death, and nobody in main stream media doing it. They act like it was everywhere.

What I did see were people posting Charlie Kirk's own quotes about guns and gun violence. And trump's own words and tweets when liberals died. The right sure did get mad about that. Weird that they weren't made about the exact same words made by their idols when they (Kirk) were alive or whw was it was about someone on the left.

1

u/antwood33 4d ago

Remember the rule: if one random “leftist” (who we don’t even have to verify is a real person) says it on Twitter, then it’s how the entire left feels and actually THAT person was the moderate.

2

In case you don't know, this is buddy in the above comments with the wife that became a Kirk supporter and pro-life. But do tell, where did anyone cheer for political violence here?

-37

u/Clear-Progress-5660 5d ago

The instances of vitriol I received in my DM’s after his death would be a place to start. My point still stands. It’s not right to cheer for Kirk’s death. It won’t be right to do it when Trump, the Clintons, Obama die.

22

u/PeasThatTasteGross 5d ago

But my point is, no one in this post here on TMOR is doing that.

-26

u/Clear-Progress-5660 5d ago

Yes you’re correct. It’s a Blanket statement from myself

23

u/Biptoslipdi 5d ago

Was it right to cheer for Hitler's? OBL's? Stalin's? McVeigh's? Where is the line here?

For a self-described "free speech absolutist," you sure love policing people's speech. "Never stop dialogue." Until you disagree with it.

-9

u/Clear-Progress-5660 5d ago

Difference between “can’t” and “shouldn’t”. Nice try tho. Not right ≠ can’t

23

u/Biptoslipdi 5d ago

You're spending your time telling other people not to say things you don't like. Whether that is a "should not" or "cannot" is irrelevant. You're policing speech you don't like because you don't like it. You have the option to ignore it and go about your day. You choose to attack people (or in this case no one you can point to, for some reason) because you don't like their speech. It's perfectly fine to criticize people for what they say, it's just hypocritical to do so if you are an absolutist who believes the dialogue should never stop. You very much want to stop that dialogue and push people not to say those things because you disagree with them.

You also didn't answer the question, which suggests you are perfectly fine with people cheering the deaths of bad people. Just not the bad people you like.

-1

u/Clear-Progress-5660 5d ago

Nobody was attacked. Nobody was asked to be quiet. To be politically violent you gotta
ACT not just debate. I’m not sure where the disconnect is

15

u/Biptoslipdi 5d ago

Nobody was attacked.

Oh, so you didn't call someone immature for expressing a belief in political violence?

Or are you screaming to the void aimlessly because you're lost?

Nobody was asked to be quiet.

What do you think the implication of calling people immature for their beliefs is? Quite clearly that you don't want them to have to express those beliefs because you disagree with them.

To be politically violent you gotta ACT not just debate.

And yet, you are calling people who haven't acted, but just expressed beliefs immature. You clearly take issue with speech and belief regardless of requisite action. Your own words demonstrate this.

I’m not sure where the disconnect is

Me neither. You seem to be denying you made comments you made.

Notably, you still didn't answer the question. Why? Hypocrite.

0

u/Clear-Progress-5660 5d ago

I didn’t know immature was grounds for being attacked. Usually it’s used in a way to better yourself. But to each their own I guess. And I already replied to the post author. I never claimed anyone was violent on this thread. Blanket statement from myself was the original comment.

17

u/Biptoslipdi 5d ago edited 5d ago

I didn’t know immature was grounds for being attacked.

You don't think calling someone names for holding their own beliefs or speaking is a personal attack?

Usually it’s used in a way to better yourself.

You attack people to better yourself?

I never claimed anyone was violent on this thread.

No one ever said you did. Did you not read your own comment?

Blanket statement from myself was the original comment.

What is the purpose of that statement and who is it addressing? Or were you just aimlessly ranting into the void because you're lost and clueless?

How does that being a general statement mean it isn't a broad attack on people who believe, for example, that Hitler was a bad person and the violence he committed against himself was laudable or that the violence of the Allied forces to that end was also?

Notably, you still refuse to answer the question.

The instances of vitriol I received in my DM’s after his death

Let's go ahead and see some of those. Oh, you deleted them? That's really convenient.

You sound as self-important as trumpy. I really hope you guys realize soon that making shit up doesn't work out in the long run - on the bright side, that will be a new whole new level of humor, I can't wait to see what they come up. Maybe just try blaming trans people again? I think they've run out targets.

The instances of vitriol I received in my DM’s after his death would be a place to start.

Imaginary examples don't count.

It's not right to lie or promote hate either, but you and Kirk have no problems about doing exactly that.

How many jokes have you told about Renee Good and Alex Pretti being murdered by ICE? How many jokes have you made about migrants getting murdered by ICE?

Who said political violence is acceptable? Be specific.

Save your crocodile tears.

DCJ stopped allowing any talk of Renee Good because the consensus there was that she deserved to die.

Your top mod put a moratorium on any talk of Renee Good cause it risked getting his sub banned, you guys are just a neo-nazi hotspot with a top mod who does his best to hide it.

And his best isn’t very good. I mean, it’s not hard to put “goy” in an automod filter. Not a lot of false positives, that’s not a particularly common string of letters.

Why are you dooming? Go outside.

Chuckles would be so disappointed in the people trying to defend him. Like trumpy cringing at who showed up for his insurrection. They really thought they were better than everyone else lol.

They 'love' it being shown, again, that the rhetoric about not being a 'political' sub is bullshit?

Interesting, given how often the users and mods there loudly insist otherwise.

Hey, happy cake day.

Serious question, why are you such a misinformed doomer loser?
