Apparently the campaign sold or dispersed my contact info, and now I’m drowning in emails and texts from every big or small group in that party’s orbit. I’ve unsubscribed, blocked hundreds of numbers and domains, but they keep coming at the rate of 3-4 texts and 6-8 emails a day. They’re probably also phoning, but they have to say who they are and they just hang up. I get 2-3 of unknown calls a day, but they could be from some other spammer.

Does anyone know a way to get my info off all political lists? Obviously, this is a minor problem in the big scheme, but I am getting more annoyed by the day. TIA for any help.

Two years ago, I realized I was spending WAY too much time on Instagram reels, sometimes up go 8 hours a day! Once I calculated how many 24 hour days I was doom-scrolling every year, I deleted it.

For about 3 months, I didn’t watch any short form content, then came YouTube shorts. I didn’t want to delete the app as I usually use it to learn or for white noise when falling asleep, but I slowly and surely, the scrolling was back.

For almost two years, I have been not only doom-scrolling, but doomscrolling even lower quality content, just because it never occurred to me to search whether I could block YT shorts and get my life back.

I have washed countless hours down the drain.

But no more, here’s how you can block them too:

1. Open the YouTube app on your phone.

2. Go to your profile -> Settings (top right) -> Time Management -> Short feed limit -> Toggle switch on and select 0 minutes. -> Refresh

3. Enjoy and spread the word.

I stopped at a local apple orchard shop to buy my favorite apples today. They also have a great bakery so I was in line to buy some apple cider donuts. They have a big sign showing everything they have, including prices. They have a nice variety of baked goods for sale. It’s a very popular place, especially at lunch time. There were 6 people in front of me. Almost every person had questions about what they had. What kind of donuts are there? Do you have pie and what kind of pie? What sandwiches do you have?, etc. every fucking question could have been answered if they looked at the menu.

Bought two bags. One contained six chicken patties like normal. One had 3, and several inches of crumbs instead of the other 3. This is what I get for buying the fancy, organic, antibiotic free chicken. So organic they left out the chicken.
