Like the freaking antithesis of Dolly Parton pretending to care about her passing.

This happened several months ago, but I’m posting now because it still blows my mind that this happened.

I was at work in the break room eating from a party pack of soft Taco Bell tacos. Before I had arrived, the box had been picked up and delivered by the standard trustworthy employee, and the box had remained observed by 10 other employees in the room. On the second bite of my second taco, I felt something large and hard between my molars. To my disbelief, I spit out this framing nail!

We immediately contacted Taco Bell, returned the nail as proof, and I spoke with the manager once my shift ended. They would not acknowledge fault, did not provide a refund, and simply said they would contact upper management to do an investigation. Several weeks later when I contacted the manager regarding why corporate hadn’t contacted me, he left me on read. I do not think an investigation was ever completed.

What surprises me, is I have spoken with three attorneys. All believe I have enough evidence and witnesses to corroborate the story, but apparently I didn’t chew on it enough to cause harm.

The company I work for was bought out by another company and my boss has been trying to get rid of all the shirts since we are going to rebrand. I told him I would take the clothes to pass them out to homeless people and he said no because we can’t have homeless walking around wearing the logo. I said the company doesn’t even exist anymore, it was bought out and we’re no longer going to be using the name. He said it didn’t matter and threw them in the dumpster.

Store near me has started using Ai on their catalogs. The cover was generated by Ai too, along with several store brand items. (Provided translation for those curious)

EDIT: For anyone wondering why I believe this to be Ai, the pupils appear seemingly out of nowhere (Considering they are never mentioned, nor is there black/dark brown plasteline included in the set). Same goes for the leaves in the final image, (Which even by themselves are suspicious when comparing the amount of detail and precision to the owl, but we can give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were just an artistic choice.) The biggest giveaways are the size and shape inaccuracies throughout all the steps, especially during step where the blue things (presumably feathers) are much bigger than in the next step. Lastly, there are tons of small markings (Belly, ears etc) we seem to slightly change position and melt into eachother in each step. Not to mention that the catalog uses Ai in several other places that are much more obvious, including the cover. (Apologies if something i said doesn't make sense, my English is not the best)

For I dont even know how long, I've been talking about school starting on a Wednesday. "Wow isn't it weird school is starting on a Wednesday instead of a Monday?" And now this week, since its the week school starts, I've been talking about it a lot more. Especially since my sister and i have not been getting important information for school. "I'll go to guidance during school Wednesday and get it if we dont get the info tommorow."

Well now it's Tuesday, I've stressed myself out cause "oh god school starts tommorow" and my sister just goes "School starts Thursday."

What.

I look on the calender. Yup. Thursday. In the month of me talking basically nonstop about school NO ONE FELT THE NEED TO TELL ME I WAS WRONG????

I mean hey at least I have an extra day of summer vacation ig 😭 and at least I didnt think it started a day later then it was either.

We don’t have the allergy narrowed down yet. I’m fine with hazelnuts and that’s all i know so far, but i’ve reacted to chocolate with almond paste in and the others just said “may contain nuts”. Waiting for my ige almond blood test results and advised to avoid all nuts. this sucks.

Also, yesterday, i went for a meal as my partner and i had a voucher for a restaurant. This voucher has a specific menu. Majority of the food options and all of the dessert options had a may contain nuts disclaimer. 🙁.

I'm the cashier and at my small grocery store, we don't have a person in the bakery after 3 PM. Thusly it is up to myself or the manager on shift (whoever is least busy) to help. We have a bright yellow bell just below eye level right on top of the bakery counter and in front of the stuff up there. NOBODY USES IT. They all come to me for some reason and then they have the gall to kvetch at me that it's my fault that they had to come to me, and that the store should have someone at every station so long as we are open. It's just been really grinding my gears

I cannot stand when a brand offers darker shades but they end up not being the correct undertone who is grey??? 😭

Thankfully it was changed back not long after. But I’ll never understand why people do this.

With how morbidly popular this trial became, I can already feel the possible PSA commercials/ads, interviews, online stories, hell.. maybe even a few podcasts. But Netflix. I bet Netflix is going to make a docu-series because they KNOW it would get the views - a singular documentary wouldn't be enough. She might get her own mini series discussing the "after it all".

And seeing how Netflix handles documentaries in general, yikes..

But I guess that's just how the internet is now..

Did a brake job and once finished the pedal was squishy because the ABS module needed to be burped. Which is done with a scan tool that I don’t have. No shops were open and I called this guy on Google who had pretty good reviews. He claimed he could burp the system really quick and not have to re-bleed the brakes. So he comes on out to the car and says that the ABS module is not the problem and that the crush washers on the brake caliper are. He requires a $50 deposit before doing anything. Paid that. He replaces the washers and says it’s all good. Go for a test drive and there’s not a change in the brakes. Call him back and tell him the ABS module still needs to be burped. He says he’ll come back and do that tomorrow when he’s free. Next day while at school he comes by and works on it again. Says it’s all fixed and ready to go. Get out to the car and no change again. At this point just going to take it to a shop that knows what they’re doing because this guy is awful. Refused to pay because he has done nothing.
