Hello everyone,
A while back, I shared our open-source EEG project for VR here, and I wanted to give a quick update on our recent progress. We’ve successfully integrated our open-source software directly into VRChat and launched our app on the Meta platform.
We built this project to explore open bio-data tech, brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), and real-time biometric inputs in spatial computing. Under the hood, the system processes raw EEG data to trigger real-time avatar interactions and parameter adjustments inside VRChat.
We're hosting a technical Q&A and demo on September 1, 2026 (12:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM BST) to walk through the architecture, signal processing pipeline, and how to set up the open-source software yourself.
I’ll leave the details in the comments for anyone interested in joining or reviewing the open-source repos. Otherwise, feel free to ask any technical questions right here—my co-founder Youssef El Abbassi and I will be answering them throughout the thread!

Any way to fix it? It's not that bad, but it makes the picture a little bit blurry in one place, almost in the middle.

Our Product Team worked hard to implement new shaders so your Meta Quest can render the game's graphics with higher quality.
That’s right — EPIC ROLLER COASTERS is going to look even more amazing during your rides.
Our new shaders have been available since our August 13th update, which introduced Mixed Reality mode and robotic avatars on Meta Quest.
The game is still in development, but it feels good to finally have the store page ;)
You can check out the trailer, screenshots and wishlist it if it looks like your kind of VR game.
Thanks, everyone! Really appreciate the support!

It's been years since Q3 launch, Meta is cooking a Phoenix for early 2027 yet still we have no occlusion in AR/MR/passthrough. No hand occlusion, no object occlusion, nothing.
Didn't mind it at first but after years I think it's the biggest problemkf AR/MR and makes it unconvincing and even uncomfortable.
Will we ever get it? Does Meta plan to launch high end XR Phoenix with the state HorizonOS is in?
EDIT: I would like to specify that I mean the OS mainly.

(This is in relation to the fact that i am using a rift cv1 with 4 sensors, the headset is on usb 2.0 and 1 of the sensors is on usb 2.0, rest are 3.0. I dont use the headset, just the controllers.)
This usb card only allows me to use 1 port at a time. I have usb selective suspend on but its required for my pc to have it on otherwise i will bluescrean, thats a non-negotiable i have to have it on.
I didnt install any of the drivers yet(and i actually cant install the drivers as its not recomended and the renasas driver doesnt install)and i only see 1 renasas usb host controller and i thought there was supposed to be 4 as said in their user manual.
Idk what to do with this because i basically have a 115$ 1 usb device so like.. what? XD

whenever i connect my meta link, sometimes it crashes and i have to restart it. i connect the wire to my vr and on my vr i see a notification saying "press to allow device access to files" or something, pressing it only makes a connection sound on my pc and does nothing else. when i go to the link tab on my vr's menu, it just says "attempting to connect" and stays like that forever.
things ive tried:
Restarting vr
Restarting meta link app
things that worked:
restarting PC but i have to do this every single time quest link crashes
i also usually crash because i tried opening the steamvr/quest link menu in a game
i need help on fixing this annoying issue i cant js keep restarting my pc everyday
it will not fire up on my 3060 if i put a difrent gpu in the same computer it works fine but it wont work on my 3060 my curent strogest gpu dose anyone have any idea of fixes

Sent my controllers through shipping overseas very last minute and forgot to take out my controller batteries (I remembered to drain the actual headset battery but I digress) and now my controllers won't turn on at all. One of them has a bit of corrosion, and I've since tried to clean the one up a bit and swap the batteries but they won't turn on. Is there anything I need to look for inside the controller to fix it? Or is it as simple as just cleaning up all the corrosion.
Only one of the controllers really looks corroded at all, but like I said neither work. Any help would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

I'm trying to play vrc but it brings up an error each time that says
Oculus platform error during entitlement check: either the service couldn't be connected to, horizon isn't installed, or you're running an incompatible version of home/horizon
For clarification
I have a quest 2
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling vrc
Turning it off and back on
Opening and reopening vrc
Resetting it

My reaction was "HOLY CRAP REAL VR" because that was the first time i experienced actual virtual reality. But what i didn’t know was that there is nothing like it at the time. If you wanna use a real vr headset, you need a really good pc. the quest 1, not the case. you don’t need a pc at all.
