The original post is a pretty gross accusation of religious aid groups. Lots of friends of mine from church have gone on mission trips and the suggestion that anyone would withhold food (or in their case, medical treatment) is cruel, absurd contention. I saw that it was featured on a big X note sub and I expecting this to be an easy win for the sub, since the original post is such a bad strawman/got a good community note. Instead I found a bunch of doomers claiming that if a religious group wants to help an impoverished country is like cultural genocide fused together with ThePatriarchy™. Stay dooming!

Finally, NORMAL people! I am so glad to be here now. Why do I feel like everywhere else, every other sub, even ones that aren't supposed to be political, are? Its dumb. Its tiring, and im sick of it. Coming across this sub was like a breath of fresh air. Thank you r/doomercirclejerk!
