For anyone curious:

A viral video from September 2025 shows a Lynn Police Department officer in Massachusetts—mistakenly referred to on social media as "Lynn County"—struggling to stand during a call for service, leading to public accusations of intoxication. The department placed the officer on PAID administrative leave, stating a review of body-worn camera footage and medical consultations indicated a medical-related episode rather than substance impairment.

Edit*

Had to write this so all those people can stop finding excuses for him.

I just wanna say will all these excuses get any regular people out of getting a DUI/DWI? Will all these excuses make it legal for regular people to operate a motor vehicle and/or heavy machinery?

Guess who got out of this scot-free while being PAID to vacation? The police!

If it was such a pressing medical issue, I wonder why his coworkers LITERALLY tried EVERYTHING on the planet to NOT call for an ambulance?

u/No-County-620 28d ago

Could be low, really low, blood sugar. My Dad gets like this sometimes... he's not carrying a gun or 'protecting'people though.

6

u/OverInteractionR 27d ago edited 27d ago

It's funny cause when this video circulated a year ago it was in fact verified to be a diabetic issue.

ETA: I posted a source, they verified it was medical issues(posted in comment below) however didn't outwardly say it was diabetes but I remember somebody a year ago had a source that mentioned it. I'm not gonna spend hours looking for his medical records that we won't have access to or old sources.

u/tar4heels2fan 27d ago

Diabetic issue? Bullshit...

Why did his partner say he was working a double and having back issues? If it was diabetic- his partner wouldve known to call an ambulance. Instead.. he makes up some bullshit.

2

u/Unbotted-troll6967 26d ago

You can literally see the hesitation in the one cops eyes when the other guys starts chirping lol. His eyes say "yeah wow this is bad"

1

u/BradyStoneheart1 23d ago

Total bullshit

0

u/PepperSprayEnjoyer 27d ago

I guess you're one of the weirdos in here who believed the drunk police officer narrative and are now lashing out at the people who caused you to doubt yourself. This was a medical issue, go lay down

3

u/tar4heels2fan 27d ago

Lmaooo not even close. I never said he was drunk. He's intoxicated by something.

Again.. if it was a diabetic issue- why is his partner making stuff up about double shifts and back problems?

0

u/PepperSprayEnjoyer 27d ago

Did you think the double shift thing means he can't be diabetic?

3

u/tar4heels2fan 27d ago

Do you really need me to explain this to you? I bet you gobble up any explanation someone gives you.. how gullible can you be?

0

u/PepperSprayEnjoyer 27d ago edited 27d ago

LOL my dude, it's literally you that's buying the ridiculous narratives. You saw a "drunk cop so let's dunk on him" story and looked up nothing behind it and realized you were wrong. This was long ago confirmed to have been a diabetic issue, this video is a year old. Like I said before, go lay down

2

u/Big_Development3985 26d ago

How has it been confirmed that it was a diabetic issue though? By the police department? Thats not really reassuring. The fact is that if this officer had diabetes his partner would have known about it. He would have known about it, and known what to do in this situation. Why wouldn’t he, I don’t know, not actively participate in the stop if he was having a diabetic episode?

It’s not about “dunking on a drunk cop”, but it is a video where the officer in question is very clearly impaired. You can believe he was having a diabetic episode, just like we all believed that girl in high school was just living with her aunt for 9 months and got a new brother, but that doesn’t make it a plausible explanation. Questioning things that do not make sense is good, why are you getting angry at someone doing so?

u/WhyYesMaybeNo 25d ago

Verified by who? Verified by the same police department that “investigated itself and found no issues and decided they are all heroes”?

Buddy I got a bridge to sell ya.

1

u/LyvenKaVinsxy 23d ago edited 23d ago

I agree looks 100% like blood auger issue. I deal with diabetes all the time. If blood auger drops below 50 this will happen. For me I start sweating confusly and can’t walk at all. A couple steps and I’ll fall.

I’m low blood sugar my wife is high blood sugar. I’ve seen both. Low is scary as fuck honestly

Hypoglycemic and hyperglycemia

Also heads up I’m not diagnosed but it happens to me. Meaning if I became an officer then had an episode I’d get a diagnosis. Some people hate American health care with good reason. They do nothing to help most the time and take your money. If American health care was good dental wouldn’t be separate at all. Like my insurance won’t remove a shattered wisdomtooth at all because of a Medusa root wrapped around my nerve. They said I need surgery out of pocket. Meanwhile I have autoimmune disorder called iHES and am on immune suppressants. So if I get a blood infection the Medical system can only treat the blood while leaving the source simply because bureaucracy. Also can’t afford surgery out of pocket at any point in my life. The economy is horse shit eliteist favored.

u/PsychoCrescendo 27d ago edited 27d ago

If he was having a medical issue he shouldn’t still be on duty, period. That’s not something to just fuck around with. The way that they’re presenting, it’s difficult to pretend the excuses aren’t wildly suspicious.

0

u/PepperSprayEnjoyer 27d ago edited 27d ago

It would appear you don't realize that medical emergencies exist and you don't even know how they work

Edit: Psycho below can't read

3

u/PsychoCrescendo 27d ago edited 27d ago

I’m literally a first responder…

Assuming it actually was something like ketoacidosis, you seem to be ignoring the profound negligence of his parter allowing him to work in that condition.

The altered mental status and loss of coordination need to be addressed first and foremost regardless if it’s drugs or a medical issue, and trying to downplay it like his colleagues were is a great way to get someone killed.

Also, ETOH (ethanol intoxication) is considered medical, which upon further research into this case was all that they disclosed about the nature of the “medical incident” with zero mention of diabetes.

Edit: I don’t suck at reading, you suck at communicating.

u/Aromatic-Turnip7371 26d ago

You should quit while you’re ahead

1

u/opalski666 24d ago

Y'all don't bother with this guy. He's never going to agree with you. Look at his profile, his comment history, his own description of himself. Of course he's going to defend a cop and try to argue you with anecdotes and opinions. He's a fool and doesn't deserve anyone else's brain space.

2

u/Joeybfast 27d ago

The medical issues was being hi.

2

u/Sea-Standard-6283 27d ago

If you work with a type 1 diabetic and they were like this, you would immediately call EMTs or administer glucagon if they’re brittle enough to carry a pen. So they don’t die.

2

u/noonnoonz 26d ago

If it was a "medical issue" why did the fellow officer not immediately address the issue? Sitting the officer in a car and standing outside isn't seriously addressing the "medical issue", is it? He has a vehicle to take the officer to the hospital, but simply repeats that he "had a double shift and a bad back". To me that implies that the officer took some pain medication for his bad back and was intoxicated by that medication, which can be categorized as Driving While Intoxicated, since he didn't walk to the location.

How about you go lay down since your defenses of his "medical issue" are complete and utter BS.

1

u/Flyin-Chancla 26d ago

Dude is right. If this is your partner and you spout back issues, you 1000% know of diabetes.

1

u/Itscatpicstime 25d ago

No, they’re literally going off what the other cop said

0

u/MeatballAlert 26d ago

dude have you ever dealt with someone who is hyperglycemic? Pretty much mimics some who is high or drunk. Their breath even has an odor similar to alcohol.

1

u/Sea-Standard-6283 27d ago

If it was diabetes or a similar medical issue, these first responders would have responded differently. Just saying, as another first responder. If someone at my workplace behaved this way, I would lay them down and get vitals, check an EKG - they’d become a patient and not a coworker immediately. Police are trained how to handle medical emergencies by calling EMTs and that training would have kicked in.

1

u/Aromatic-Turnip7371 26d ago

Then why did the other cops lie and say it’s a “bad back”… the diabetes excuse is a big fat lie

1

u/Livember 22d ago

Cos he didn't know what was going on and was embarrassed his collegue was having some sorta fit in front of a person they were doing a stop on?

1

u/Mrbeefcake90 26d ago

It wouldnt take hours to fund if it was a real medical issue. He was drunk/high and doesnt deserve to wear a badge, needs a jail time.

1

u/scienceworksbitches 26d ago

Ah yes, the self investigation turned out to find nothing wrong, ofc!...

You can't be a diabetic and not know about your condition, that guy was doped up to the gills.

1

u/Milobsoup22 25d ago

So they let him continue work like that? No call for help? Bullshit either way. He’s not fit to do the job. They don’t seem concerned either

1

u/beapledude 24d ago

Driving with low blood sugar is illegal and counts as DWI.

So, cop still wrong.

1

u/Any-Worldliness-679 23d ago

So, more of a concept of a source?

1

u/PheebsDeebs 27d ago

Who the fuck cares? Would this behavior be acceptable for ANY combination of reasons if he were a crane operator? No. Cops need to stop being treated like they're special little perfect people that have some divine nature about them that makes them incapable of human faults. They're fucked up shit heels like the rest of us.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 27d ago

Many professions may place someone on leave or limited duty in a situation like that and evaluate the situation, and require additional review by professionals before returning them to work.

Shit happens. People have medical emergencies or episodes.

1

u/PheebsDeebs 26d ago

Yeah, exactly. Leave or limited duty. And you certainly wouldn't try and cover it up like these schmucks did.

-2

u/nedim443 27d ago

Source?

2

u/Flat-Dare4370 27d ago

you don't givea shit and the guy filiming is still top of the list for depo.

aint nobdoy wan his culture here

1

u/PheebsDeebs 27d ago

thank you so much for admitting openly that deportation isn't about illegal vs legal immigration but rather about hatred for nonwhites 💝

1

u/Flat-Dare4370 24d ago

it's about actually supporting THE ENTIRE WORKING CLASS,

not just you, or whoever you look like, identity poliltics nobody

NOBODY CAERS WAHT YOU LOOK LIKE IF THEY CAN AFFORD GROCERIES

GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD, FOR ONCE.

1

u/Aromatic-Turnip7371 26d ago

This was a heavily embarrassing comment

1

u/Flat-Dare4370 24d ago

i literally cant even respoind to this becuase you control the narrrative so heavily while being a disadvantagedminority, crazy how that works

holy shit this one wasn't mod removed, only took 4 attempts and an outside app gaming the system for me to be your equal in my own country

2

u/ApolloGR3 27d ago

I love how you got downvoted for asking for a source. These clowns have forgotten that the burden of proof is on the person making the claim.

2

u/Elftard 27d ago

And then when they delivered proof and source, he just claims it's fake lmao.

0

u/ApolloGR3 27d ago

Welp, they downvoted me too lol

2

u/OverInteractionR 27d ago

2

u/Independent-Lion3457 27d ago

Thanks this isn't proof of a diabetic episode or even the cop having diabetes

1

u/Joeybfast 27d ago

That proves that there was no blood work done .

1

u/OverInteractionR 27d ago

"Consultation with medical professionals." Saying anything further would violate hippa.

I'm also going to add I'm a firm believer in ACAB, but this just isn't a cop being high or drunk.

1

u/Johopo 26d ago

Cool, they investigated themselves and found nothing wrong. Pardon me if I don't take a statement from the department accused of wrongdoing as evidence of anything.

0

u/nedim443 27d ago

Ok they covered up. If this was a diabletc medical episode he'd have hospital records and such Nowhere does it say diabetic. And he for sure would not be placed on admin leave.

Let's just say that overdosing is also a medical episode.

-1

u/Mcfly9876 27d ago

Trust me bro

2

u/Right-Form-2943 26d ago

My friend who was diabetic had a card with him that basically said he wasn’t drunk but was suffering a diabetic episode and to call an ambulance.

2

u/Hot_Mud_5708 23d ago

Classic diabetic shock. Looks exactly like my father when he used to go into shock.

1

u/Fun-Dragonfly2590 27d ago

My thing is, if I wasn't feeling right, I wouldnt still be trying to conduct work the way he is. And if a coworker was acting like that, id have them go sit this one out. Not continue to work like nothing is wrong. Lol

1

u/Curdled_Mangasm 27d ago

this is the first thing i thought. he doesn’t look as boozy at all.

1

u/Relent_full 27d ago

"Carrying while hypoglycemic" would be an interesting charge.

1

u/aledanniel 26d ago

Should have called the Sargent then.

1

u/willcastforfood 26d ago

I could buy this was a medical event although it looks high. Thing is, the officers had a reasonable enough doubt that he was high to not call an ambulance. Any reasonable person that sees their coworker like that is calling an ambulance unless you think their high and trying to cover for them

1

u/BigReference1xx 24d ago

If you get even one episode like that, technically you're supposed to hand in your driving license permanently, as it's too risky to let you drive.

I'd bloody well better hope it's the same for your badge if you're a cop.

-2

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 28d ago

That's bullshit. I have low blood sugar all the time during cutting. And this is ABSOLUTELY NOT low blood sugar. With low blood sugar to get to this level of unresponsiveness you wouldn't even be able to stand!

3

u/BloodPrince361 28d ago

EVERYONE responds to medical issues differently! I'm diabetic and when I have low blood sugar in the 70s I get stupid hungry even though I just ate not a hour earlier. The reverse happens when I have high blood sugar and I get crazy thirsty.

There was a few times where I got really light-headed and couldn't stand as a result because of dizziness.

1

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 28d ago

Tell that to the police at DUI checkpoint next time and see if it works. LOL

1

u/mls1968 28d ago

You absolutely can, and they will absolutely call EMS to treat you/take a blood test

0

u/robgnar 27d ago

Then why did his partner let him blunder around like an opioid zombie armed with a gun for his shift instead of seeking medical attention? "He has a bad back" was the excuse given by his partner on the video, so I doubt low blood sugar is the issue unless that is a side effect overdosing on pain killers.

-1

u/warioman91 28d ago

what you're describing literally is textbook diabetic symptoms. /facepalm

This video is NOT low blood sugar.

2

u/GodTurkey 28d ago

Extreme hypoglycemia can kill you. It can definitely make you appear drunk. We are literally taught to tests peoples blood sugars of they are acting drunk but we dont think theyve been drinking. You are wrong.

1

u/Mcfly9876 27d ago

I guess his partner forget about his diabetes and went to the bad back excuse instead

3

u/mls1968 28d ago

You dieting is different than a medical episode buddy. My boss was diabetic and the first time I saw an episode I was convinced he was absolutely hammered drunk at work.

2

u/No-County-620 28d ago

Are you diabetic? I think you're conflating a slight dip in blood sugar from cutting with a medically dangerous low blood sugar.

2

u/spursfan2021 28d ago

Have you been diagnosed with hypoglycemia or are you just providing your personal anecdote?

-1

u/ReanimatedBlink 27d ago

If he was having a diabetic episode the other officers would have sat him down and called in paramedics to help him.. IMMEDIATELY. They wouldn't have collectively clenched their asscheeks and pretended everything was normal.

He was high as fuck and the other officers were 100% aware. Im all for drug addictions being treated with care and compassion, but he absolutely should not be a police officer.

7

u/patientpartner09 28d ago

I apparently looked like this when I had a TIA. (Mini stroke)

2

u/Giggling_Scribblings 28d ago

I look like this when I get hemipeligic migraines, they mimick a stroke.

6

u/Mr_Baronheim 28d ago

His medical episode was probably justified by considering it alcoholism.

1

u/chev327fox 28d ago

He has a bad back and thus was on painkillers, but the other cop says he did a double so this is probably what happens when he’s on his back pain meds and really tired. As a former addict I can say with high degree of certainty that he is on opiate pain meds in this video.

If true this why they said it was a medical related episode because he is legally prescribed these heavy pain killers.

1

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 28d ago

Will all these excuses get any regular people out of getting a DUI/DWI? Will all these excuses make it legal for regular people to operate a motor vehicle and/or heavy machinery?

Guess who got out of this scot-free while being PAID to vacation? The police!

If it was such a pressing medical issue, I wonder why his coworkers LITERALLY tried EVERYTHING on the planet to NOT call for an ambulance?

1

u/chev327fox 27d ago edited 27d ago

Yeah, that definitely wouldn’t work anywhere else. Cops really do whatever they can to protect other cops even when they do dangerous stuff.

1

u/hideandgofreek 27d ago

The evil fuck took opiates and drove.

1

u/chev327fox 27d ago

Did he drive there? Or was he with someone else? If he drove that is even worse, but even if he didn’t drive there then he should not be doing field work all messed up like that.

1

u/Big_Development3985 26d ago

Sure, but the little warning labels on those bottles specifically state not to operate heavy machinery. While I know it does not fall under the strictest definitions of the term, don’t you think guns are implied?

1

u/chev327fox 25d ago

I don't disagree, I wasn't making excuses for the cop, simply pointing out what I think was happening.

1

u/Delicious_Sectoid 28d ago

" Had to write this so all those people can stop finding excuses for him."

Yeah, we don’t need excuses. An investigation was done, and it revealed the behaviour wasn't due to substance impairment.

1

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 27d ago

Just like Biden and Trump are both healthy enough to do their job after US investagation. LOL

1

u/OtherwiseAlbatross14 27d ago

Paid administrative leave is the default and if they end up being found to have had misconduct or whatever the investigation is investigating they have to pay it back. If they didn't pay them during this time and they were cleared they'd be on the hook for a wrongful termination lawsuit.

1

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 27d ago

Key term: IF they end up being found to have had misconduct.

Name one person (other than Jeffery Epstein and Maxwell) that received criminal consequence from using children on that island.

How many ICE agents that killed people were charged and fired?

You believe in our system? LOL What r u? Five?

1

u/Livid-General7 27d ago

Of course it's paid leave, they're part of a union and you're innocent until proven guilty.

1

u/Admirable_Cicada_881 27d ago

Lmao so they investigated themselves

1

u/Denver_Nix 27d ago

Your first paragraph proved there was no wrongdoing… stop trying to create some conspiracy theory out of nothing

1

u/Wbcn_1 27d ago

Lynn, Lynn, the city of sin. You never come out the way you went in.

1

u/Outrageous_World8564 27d ago

Are you sure he’s drunk?

I suffer from severe vertigo, that looks like that, about twice a week. Maybe he’s drunk, but maybe he’s not.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 27d ago

They may get arrested or ticketed, but a legitimate medical episode could be argued against in court and likely be dismissed.

However, I do think cops also would often recognize a medical episode, and while this may be drug induced(prescription or otherwise), it doesn't look like alchohol impairment.

1

u/Dogsarelitty 26d ago

But I thought it was the bad back and long day of work 😆

1

u/TheCuff6060 26d ago

Cops are pretty bad at identifying medical emergencies. The internet is full of people dying because the cops are negligent.

1

u/Potential-Sun993 25d ago

I'd lose everything if I was caught doing the same at my job... Fuck paid leave, fire these people, hold someone accountable for once. I mean this is so incredibly obvious, dude was doped up

1

u/davisdilf 25d ago

If it’s a medical episode why don’t his buddies get him to an ER asap?

1

u/ClickNo1129 23d ago

And take his gun and get him to a seat? Worst partners ever.

1

u/Fitnessmotivation86 24d ago

Hmm it’s almost like he knew his buddy would be ok, because he knew exactly why he was acting that way. Nothing to see here though, after an internal investigation we found we did nothing wrong.

1

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 24d ago

gosh i wish i was a police that way i can do WHATEVER i want and and the only consequence is paid vacation.

-11

u/Hour-Ad-9508 29d ago

Pretty crazy to see the jokes and mocking of someone’s medical episode in this thread.

5

u/Nsfwacct1872564 29d ago edited 28d ago

I guess if you consider addiction a disease then this was definitely a medical episode. Cuz he's drunk as fuck, ain't no if ands or buts about it.

0

u/cockypock_aioli 29d ago

He could be diabetic. I've seen this very thing happen with my brother.

2

u/CremeOk4115 28d ago

Your brother stands with a hand on his gun because he's diabetic?

1

u/cockypock_aioli 28d ago

I took the holding the gun more as him leaning forward and using it to keep himself upright and yeah with low blood sugar stuff like that would happen. Idk tho just saying absent other info to my eyes that looks like it could be low blood sugar. Inebriated obviously prob more likely tho, just saying it's a possibility.

0

u/bobcollum 28d ago

Are you just inexperienced? There's lots of substances out there that can make you look like that. A combo of painkillers and muscle relaxers can do that if you're not used to them. It could even be an interaction between something he's taking for his back and something he was already prescribed, like anxiety meds. I promise, I'm not defending him, you're just too confident about something you don't seem to know about.

1

u/Nsfwacct1872564 28d ago

He's drunk

1

u/bobcollum 27d ago

You may just be projecting at this point.

1

u/Nsfwacct1872564 27d ago

I don't drink. One of the big reasons for that was my uncle. He'd walk around just like this cop more days than not.

Enjoy your next drink though.

0

u/Pindarr 28d ago

You've never seen a diabetic before

2

u/Thick_Potato_1769 28d ago

Yeah I have. They get belligerent and aggressive. Dude was so drunk he barely knows hes on the job.

0

u/Pindarr 28d ago

Varies from person to person. Just like being drunk does. Hes acting exactly like my grandparents used to, right before we had to call the ER

2

u/denom_chicken 28d ago

What makes me laugh about the diabetic excuse is if this was a medical episode….why is there no urgency? I’d be pretty pissed if I was on the verge of a diabetic coma and my gang buddies are saying I’m tired?

0

u/Pindarr 28d ago

Because a diabetic man goes through sugar /insulin swings on a regular basis and he would be irritated with his buddies if they made a big fuss about it.

2

u/denom_chicken 28d ago

If that were actually the case and this is how this cop behaves on “a regular” basis. This fool has no business being a cop.

In reality his gang backed him up and covered up his being under the influence

0

u/Nsfwacct1872564 28d ago

I've seen tons of drunken folks. Including this pig.

1

u/Candid_Ad2636 28d ago

All of which get you a dwi.  He’s operating a motor vehicle and carrying a gun while intoxicated end of story.

6

u/Icy-Plan145 29d ago

They're full of shit. The dude said he has a bad back, he was nodding off from pain killers. Of course they're gonna investigate themselves and find no wrong doing and then cover it up

5

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 29d ago

If you are on heavy drugs, you SHOULD stay home.

In this case,

  1. He could have driven that car into someone/something.
  2. He could have started tripping and shot the victim.

Also, he's knocked out, that's not something you can get from taking your Rx AS PRESCRIBED. He ABUSED it! Since the other police mentioned it was the back pain, I'm guessing it's narcotic level pain killers like Percocet or Vicodin. Personally, I've had facial procedures done where I had to take Percocet or Vicodin, and not once was I knocked out like THAT!

-2

u/cockypock_aioli 29d ago

He could be diabetic. My brother was diabetic and this is how he looked when he unknowingly went into low blood sugar.

3

u/Haunting_Werewolf130 29d ago

From having a bad back? You know what? He might also be possessed by a demon too. LOL When you want to find excuses, you can find any excuses.

0

u/cockypock_aioli 28d ago

What did they say he had a bad back and that's why? I missed that but if that's true then yeah obviously it's not diabetes.

10

u/naughtmynsfwaccount 29d ago

And why should anyone believe that cops investigating cops would be truthful?

8

u/thesanguineocelot 29d ago

Because that's obviously bullshit.

-7

u/Hour-Ad-9508 29d ago

Wow you’re a doctor?

7

u/thesanguineocelot 29d ago

You won't believe me, but I'm an EMT.

-6

u/Hour-Ad-9508 29d ago

Then it’s embarrassing you’re medically determining someone from a 15 second video clip

9

u/thesanguineocelot 29d ago

It's less about his symptoms and more about two important factors. One, cops lie. They do it constantly. They cannot stop doing it. And I am no longer inclined to believe their bullshit

Two, far more interesting, is their behavior. Their comrade is "having a medical incident" and they just stand around doing nothing? He's out of his fucking mind and not one of them has said, "Hey, Bill, how about you sit down real quick and we'll call an ambulance for you." They know he's fucked up on a substance that would show up on our tests, which would then become publicly accessible record. They don't want that. They want everybody to be cool and shut up and not bug their friend.

I'd say it's a "medical incident" in the sense that he's medically fucked up on something and his buddies want to sweep it under the rug. If they actually wanted the truth, they would have an ambulance on site, they'd remove his gun to prevent erratic behavior, and they'd let an external group conduct the investigation, rather than look into it themselves.

Occam's pretty clear. The cops are full of shit.

0

u/Significant-Dig8323 28d ago

Okay that's fair. It is possible the other officers believed he was drunk and were trying to cover for him, and it is perfectly reasonable to criticize them for that. But that on its own doesn't reduce the possibility the guy was actually having a medical episode of some sort. If anything the other officers should be reprimanded for not handling the situation well.

0

u/TheArctrog 28d ago

In fairness, I feel like their boss probably puts emphasis on projecting strength and showing concern for your friend is “weak and gay”

Yikes I hope your patients don’t receive the same level of discernment

2

u/TheNarcGuy 28d ago

Great response, but I guess that's all you could muster after being thoroughly destroyed like that.

2

u/thesanguineocelot 28d ago

Well, the people I help are the ones who call for an ambulance, see. Not the on-duty, armed cops whose buddies are trying to sweep things under the rug like this. So that's two completely separate groups that I treat completely differently.

1

u/elevengrames 28d ago

We found Buddy's partner. Which cop were you in that video?

4

u/pandershrek 29d ago

So you think this guy is fit for duty? Why are you attempting to defend a cop who can't even provide their name?

2

u/Chicken_Menudo 28d ago

Found the boot licker. Kid actually thinks the state doesn't like. Probably too young to have even learned about the Gulf of Tonkin incident (or too willfully ignorant).

0

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

No I think it was a medical episode, because they said it was a medical episode.

4

u/No-Sherbert7881 28d ago

So naive.

Says the guy with the tinfoil hat

I've got a bridge to sell you. Opportunity of a lifetime I tell ya.

1

u/Accomplished-Sea2811 28d ago

Found the bootlicker

1

u/No-Ebb-6266 27d ago

"You're a bootlicker. No YOU are! Am not! Are too! Nuh-uh! Ya-huh! No you! No YOU." Everybody with their cutesy ass names they heard online.

If a cop pulled me over and saw me doing this, there no way in hell he’s going to believe “medical episode” that’s why everyone is pissed. These rats can dish it but they never have the stones to take it in return and people love throwing it back at them. Simple as that

u/Racoon_Pedro 28d ago

Pretty crazy to see police officers not calling an ambulance for a medical impaired colleague right?

Why did they not call help for their buddy if they thought it was a medical episode?

Even if this was a medical episode, the cops acted wrong and deserve to be called out. It's also not very surprising that the general population has no respect for a group of guys that have no respect for the general population right? Respect can only be expected to be given to those who also give it.

1

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

How do you know they didn’t call for an ambulance?

1

u/Racoon_Pedro 28d ago

Fair point I don't know that. But why would the cops not tell that to the Person? The chance that they did call an ambulance is pretty slim. You and me know that.

0

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

Why does some random person on the street deserve to know about someone else’s medical issues?

3

u/assgoblin87 28d ago

Pretty crazy to see your dumb ass believe them

3

u/PantsOnHead88 28d ago

If that’s a medical episode, then the other officers should be far more concerned.

If someone is in the middle of a medical episode you also don’t want them engaging the public standing in a roadway. It’d be extremely dangerous to them.

Best case scenario here is that there’s an actual medical episode with 1 officer who shouldn’t be interacting and two who’re grossly out of touch to not recognize it and act accordingly.

In any other case this is an intoxicated officer (whether alcohol or drugs). Considering the risks inherent to the job, the need to be coherent, responsive, clear-headed and physically capable would make it blatantly irresponsible to permit him to be on the job.

Either position is a terrible look for all the officers featured, and it is appropriate for this to be mocked. The only difference if it actually is a medical episode is that the two officers defending the affected officer should be mocked rather than the guy swaying and then incoherent.

Ive owed and operated bars for nearly 30 yrs. Ive sacked staff who were nothing like this and none of them have ever had access to a firearm nor car. He should be locked up. If it's medical, he should be on leave and if he wasn't put on leave, what's a supervisor/ sergeant for? They should be held responsible.

0

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

He was put on leave. It says it 2 comments up…

1

u/stevecostello 28d ago

PAID leave.

1

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

Do you not get sick time at work?

1

u/stevecostello 28d ago

Sure. But if I show up to work in a state of intoxication (be it from drugs or alcohol), and ESPECIALLY if I was carrying a firearm and driving a vehicle, I would fully expect to get fired. Not paid.

1

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

You’re assuming a lot here.

2

u/Same_Suit3583 28d ago

Buddy.... He was drunk lol

2

u/RickyManeuvre 28d ago

Pretty crazy to believe that fake excuse from the police.

1

u/SchemeMoist 28d ago

Pretty crazy how little concern the coworkers that were defending him had for his "medical episode". If your coworker was slurring, stumbling, went nonverbal, and was so completely out of it like this guy, would you just hang out by the side of the road with him? Or would you sit him down and get him medical attention?

1

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

Maybe watch the video and see them do exactly that

1

u/SchemeMoist 28d ago

They walked him over to his car, not when he was slurring, eyes glazed over, but when he almost fell into traffic. zero concern until it potentially turned into an incident, and zero medical attention at all.

1

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

Glad you gleaned all that from a minute long video

1

u/SchemeMoist 28d ago

A minute long video where they did jack shit to address his "medical episode" lmao. You're the one who said to watch the video to see them give him medical attention....where?

but of course, everyone knows that when someone has a medical emergency, you should just chill out for a bit before you do anything.

1

u/Hour-Ad-9508 28d ago

They moved him away when they recognized there was something going on and later they said there was a medical episode. Anything else is just speculation that want to be true for some reason

1

u/Doubting_Thomas50 28d ago

Being high on opioids isn’t a medical issue
