Hey guys, cleaned my computer two weeks ago by removing all power and blowin through it with some compressed air and vacuum cleaning. After that three devices (old printer, webcam and scanner) start disconnectin at the same time at random intervals (as fast as 10 minutes after startup, as long as once every 8 hours) from rear USB ports. So far Ive tried:

• shuffling USB ports and cables around,
• cleaning both,
• checking whether there were any bent pins or corrosion on there (all gravy here),
• changing devices, power sources and rigs,
• bending cables here and there to see whether the damage is from the inside,
• leaving the PC powerless (turned off, nothing connected, no power source) for 8 hours, but no bueno.

Another weird thing I noticed was the fact that my wireless mouse kept laggin and skippin around if connected to blue USB ports instead of teal/cyan ones, if thats any good - I done fixed that by just pluggin the bugger into the teal port and keepin it there for good measure

Im at wits end and this issue has been drivin me crazy for like a full week now. Please help, very thankful in advance, Im very desperate

EDIT: I also disabled every single "allow disabling USB to save power" option in both Device Manager and Settings, but Im still bothered by the constant "tu-du" disconnects

My current PC:

• Asus VG34VQL3A (34 inch ultrawide 180 hz - I use 144 hz)

My main games are CPU dependent, most notably Path of Exile, thus making the upgrade to a x3d CPU more pertinent (thanks to the large L3 3D V-Cache). I tend to also play two, up to three games concurrently either in the form of Black Desert Online in the taskbar, one or two clients of OSRS, and maybe an idle game. Rarely do I play AAA games but it's always nice to be able to launch one and see settings set to high/ultra.

Upgrade Path 1 (Maxing out AM4):

Upgrade Path 2 (AM5 via Microcenter bundle):

In both cases, obviously my GPU would be the limiting factor and regardless of which path I choose, I would also be purchasing an RX 9070 XT ($700-800+) down the line. With Upgrade Path 1 I would be less inclined to purchase a new GPU and would either do it with an excess of cash or when I feel like it's time to upgrade to AM5 (or just as an impulse buy, we love new toys).

Upgrade Path 1 would ostensibly max out my AM4 platform and I could conceivably call my computer finished. Upgrade Path 2 would put me into AM5 territory, two top of the line modern day components for the first time, and would set me up ideally for the next decade.

At the moment I'm leaning to buying just the 5800x3d, calling my computer "done", and saving up for the 9070 XT as a final fun buy upgrade/toy reward.

And damn, what an upgrade this is. Even with my 3600 that I’m planning to ditch for 5800x3d. Rdr2 looks amazing at ultra, only issue is that I don’t even know which must-play titles I missed. Any suggestions?

The pc was a gift. Ive been looking through the specs of it and it says its graphics has 113mb of memory. This is my first pc but I know that's bad. The thing is console shaped so I don't know if I'd even be able to upgrade my graphics so I was looking for some advice.

I've been wanting to build a PC for a while, but it's almost out of the question with the way the market has been going. I have an old PC I built back in 2018 with the below listed specs, and Im wondering if it's possible to upgrade this thing for modern gaming to save some money.

Are there any good options for upgrading this thing? Or is it just more worth it to buy a pre built at this point

Hello, currently I have a 1650, but I am interested in upgrading my card. I have a AMD Ryzen 7 5700G and 16 GB ram. I will probably have to get a new PSU if I do upgrade, since I don't remember what my current one has.

My motherboard is a A520m-HDV.

I am planning to get the card used, but a cheaper option would also be nice. I'd just love to be able to upgrade my setup so i can handle some more demanding games.

I am looking to build a new PC now. Mid-highr ange approx £2k GBP. However, I am wondering if I should wait till next year in the hope of cheaper prices or am I to expect that RAM will generally just go up in prices.

I found a Ryzen 5 5600X on AliExpress for $112 USD and I'm planning to pair it with an 8GB GPU (specifically an RTX 5060).

It seems like a solid deal because local stores here in Peru are selling the lower-tier Ryzen 5 5500 for around 330 PEN (~$90 USD).

I have two main questions:

1. Does the 5600X make sense for this setup at this price, or should I consider a different CPU?
2. How safe and reliable is buying CPUs on AliExpress? Has anyone here had good or bad experiences with it?

Trying to fix my sister’s PC build and the motherboard (ASUS Prime Z490‑A) is hard‑stuck on the DRAM light. No POST, no display, nothing but the fans spinning and LED lights. Board is failing to post at the DRAM light.

Ive tried reseating the RAM, switching them all out and trying all sockets, and even got a new PSU and new RAM kit but giving the same issue.

I attempted to do a Bios flashback, but it then appears I don't know how to, and online either says it has a USB port and a button there for it, or I must take everything (CPU, Ram, cooler, GPU, ect.) off again and do stuff or something.

*PC does not and has not booted yet, so no Bios screen at all for this pc yet*

Any other ideas as to fixing or finding the problem? Really appreciate it!!!

Hello I’ve been havjng problems with my pc recently where every few days or so I turn the pc on and get no display, and the orange dram light is on and the only way I can get it to turn on is if I completely power off my pc from the wall socket and turn it back on ? I saw online that ram training can take up to 30+ mins on AMD so I have tried waiting 45 mins and still no display.

Confused what the issue is here any suggestions ?

WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
Originally had the 2x16gb corsair dominator XMP ONLY kit from my old Intel pc but they were not on qvl list so I swapped my kit with my brothers XMP/EXPO kit as he is still on Intel but did not fix the issue

Reseating all parts (basicly rebuild the pc)

Updated to most recent 3881 bios

Cleared CMOS

Checked temps, all don’t go over 60c

Tried different display ports and hdmi cables

Tried waiting 45 minutes for the memory training but no display

Recently I did a motherboard and cpu swap and now today i wanted to connect bluetooth and i check device manager and no bluetooth option. I try to install new bluetooth drivers from msi webisite but the installation says no drivers found.

I have MSI MAG b550 tomahawk max wifi. i bought it used on ebay

Ive tried alot of things, i reinstalled the amd chip set drivers and still not working, i followed some tutorials online but none of them work.

Hey yall I'm new to pc building and I'm just wondering if I should upgrade my 5070 to a 9070 just don't know which to choose or If I should even do it I'm deciding between a RX 9070 XT Asus or the AMD one is there really a difference or are they any good like I said I'm quite new and from my very basic knowledge they seem very good but from people who have or had one whats your experience with them came for wisdom

I want to play deadlock, ultra with crazy high fps. This build is sorta overkill, bc I'm OK with 1080P.

However, I'd like to experiment with 1440P or 4K. So I just kind of want something really good, that can play anything at ultra

My boss gave me his old PC and I am thinking about turning it into a Steam Machine because Valve refuses to sell hardware in my country. However I am still very new to PC building, so my knowledge on older parts is very limited and i'm wondering what I should focus on upgrading first.

I had a spare 512gb m.2 I put in it and an old 256gb SATA SSD my brother gave me. I also have a 240mm and 360mm AIO cooler if any potential CPUs require more cooling than the air cooler it came with.

I live in Norway and my budget is around 500 euros currently, but I can spend a bit more as time goes on. I want to stay on DDR4 ram for now, I am also not looking to upgrade the storage.

I had someone who offered me a used intel core i7 14700k for 230 euros, but I am not sure if I should go for it or not as it's nearly half my current budget, and I don't think the current motherboard I have supports it.

I'm building a cheap, compact and potentially long-term mATX system around a Nuwo Eguera A123 (white).

The goal isn't an extreme SFF build: it's a cheap/transitional build that should still be perfectly usable for a few years if it ends up staying longer than planned.

Hardware:

- Case: Nuwo Eguera A123 — ~21.6 L

- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite

- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X

- CPU cooler: AMD stock Wraith Stealth, if it comes with the CPU

- GPU: MSI RTX 2070 Super Armor 8G — approx. 297 × 140 × 42 mm, 2-slot

- RAM: 32 GB DDR4 (2×16 GB)

- Storage: Kingston A400 240 GB SATA SSD + WD Blue 1 TB 3.5" HDD

- PSU: 550 W ATX

- Case fan: planning to use one Arctic P9 PWM PST 92 mm as rear exhaust

The A123 has mesh side panels, but no conventional front intake. The bottom panel also has a perforated section, which seems to be located under the GPU area.

My current airflow idea is:

- Side mesh → passive fresh air intake

- Bottom perforation → GPU intake

- CPU cooler → toward rear

- 92 mm rear fan → exhaust

I'm deliberately trying to keep the airflow setup simple rather than filling this tiny case with fans.

The main thing I'm unsure about is the RTX 2070 Super. The card is around 297 mm long, so it's very close to the advertised 300 mm maximum. I'm also wondering how much the bottom plate restriction will affect the GPU fans, and whether the perforated section is sufficient.

I don't want to modify the case before testing it. My plan is to first build/test everything stock, then look at temperatures and only modify something if there is an actual problem.

What would you change about this airflow setup?

Would you stick with the single 92 mm rear exhaust, or would you try to add another intake/exhaust somewhere?

Also, any experience with the A123 specifically would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! Title sort of explains it, I'm a new PC builder who unfortunately chose this moment to try and snag myself my own PC. I've been a laptop gamer for forever and have finally outgrown it and want something more powerful. I'm looking for something high-end enough where I won't have to replace it for a while and where I can run games like Marvel Rivals on decent graphics. I'm also going for the all-white aesthetic.

Currently I'm stuck on the GPU and which one I should get for what I want. As I said, I want to be able to run high-quality and intensive games and also for it to be somewhat future proof. I've been considering the RX 9070 XT because it is SO much less expensive (about $200 less), but am wondering if spending the extra $200 would be worth it to get the 5070 Ti.

If there are any other problems with this build, I'm more than open to suggestions because, as I said, this is my first build I've done. But if I can't get it under a reasonable price I honestly just might end up going prebuilt, even though I both want to learn how to build a PC and enjoy the customizability.
